Traveled to Ottawa for business. Check in was fast, small two story building. Clean and quiet. Room: Clean room, nothing fancy, clean sheets and new furniture. Nothing fancy. Bathtub paint chipped a little bit, so no baths, but showering was fine with updated shower head. Even though my room overlooked the major highway, there wasn't a lot of traffic noise. Couldn't hear my neighbours even though hotel was booked solid. Continental breakfast: Apples, yogurt, bagels, croissants (plenty... Read more

The Room at this hotel was good except for the bath tub that was very old and had all marks on it and it looked dirty. The carpet in the room looks old and has to be changed. The breakfast room had only 3 to 4 tables which makes it very uncomfortable for the guests to sit and have their breakfast. They should not ration out the omelettes and the bacon as it looks very cheap

The room itself was quite up to Comfort Inn standard, nice bed and clean bathroom. But the service was bad. It is close to the big St Laurent Mall but it is in a dusty area. There is no bathroom for guests near the Front Office, so you will have to use the one the employees use. I had my breakfast standing up because there were no seats and I did not get many items like sausage and bacon. People had to wait for these items. The breakfast room was just too small for the number of guests. The flo... Read more

Our room in this basic motel was comfortable in most respects, and perhaps upgraded somewhat from what was available during other visits in past years. For this visit, we were in a single-queen-bed room on the ground floor, with couch, mini-fridge, microwave, and free WiFi. The front desk clerk seemed glad that we brought to his attention two small items needing maintenance. The room rate includes a light breakfast of typical motel fare. The breakfast room was quite busy on both days when ... Read more

Stayed in this hotel as it was close to where my son lived and was pleasantly surprised at the convenience of room. It had a microwave and small fridge in the 2 double bed and the tv was a fair size. Coffee maker as well. The desk clerk was nice enough to get me some milk for my tea from the kitchen. Comfortable beds and we stayed on the second floor. It was quiet and we had a good nights rest. Nothing remarkable about this place but the price was fair.

Included breakfast which was passable; in 5 days we only had it on our first morning. Egg omelet (1 egg) made on request but no bacon or sausage. Room was very clean; Bed was exceptionally comfortable. Safety grab bar in bath, wish more hotels would do this. Free parking was right outside our room. Only about 5 minutes to Parliament area; access to 417 about 3 minutes away. Lots of restaurants close by. Fridge and microwave in room were very convenient. Sofa bed not very comfortable to s... Hotel/Motel is clean. Has a couch in a room for two which is nice. Pretty much has everything (microwave, fridge). There are some stuff that would've been great though. Like slippers in the room would be nice (I feel icky walking barefoot on any carpeted floors). And the so called "High Speed Internet" isn't really High Speed. I used my phones data the whole 5 day stay instead. And the AC doesn't really cool as much as you wanted it to (well it looks old but there are a lot of ACs that are old b... Read more

Clean quiet room on 2nd floor. No lift but the Concierge kindly took our cases up for us. Very friendly and helpful. Nice view out at lawns and trees. Handle in bath was good for my aging mother. Pull out bed was quite OK. The microwave very handy as we could have our evening meal in the room. Breakfast we didn't do as we were gluten free but there was basic cereal and toast and yoghurt on request. It is only a short walk to big shopping complex, bus station and restaurants which was very conve... Read more

Clean and nice. It is your average comfort inn hotel. Great for an overnight stay when passing through and really we don't go on vacation to spend time in the hotel. Friendly service also. Ended up moving here because we checked out of the previous hotel as it was disgusting. We were happy with our choice.

Stayed here a few night, nice comfy beds. Ac in the room was hit or miss. Sometimes the ac would stop pushing out cold air. I'd turn the dial down and back up to kick it in when the room got warm. Bathroom was dated, bathtub was in bad shape. Overall not a bad stay.

Was there for a two night stay over the weekend and the rooms are clean, renovated bathroom also clean. Except the bathtub. Without exaggeration, the bathtub had not been cleaned in quite sometime and since we knew everyone on our floor (we were a group) it seems it was the same for everyone. All the bathtubs were not cleaned but the rest of the room was. Front desk staff were not as friendly as any other hotel i've ever been to. They just didn't seem to like their job at all. We stayed here on our way to New Brunswick, as they were the best pet friendly hotel we could find. It's located in a very quiet area, rooms served their purpose, and very friendly staff. We enjoyed not having to pay a ridiculous pet fee, and the bed was very comfortable. Will definitely stay again if we are back in the area.

Our stay in this hotel was satisfactory, the room was clean, it has a fridge and microwave. Breakfast was good, it is from 6:30 to 9:30. It has no swimming pool, but locations is good, the hotel close to highway and shopping mall. Only thing I did not like is an old bathtub, that was painted unevenly on the bottom. Otherwise it was acceptable basic 2 star hotel.

We had the displeasure of staying at this hotel last night. It's awful. We pulled in late but had a reservation. We were "Greeted" by the night manager who, instead of saying hello, looked at me grumpy and told me we should have called and said we would be late. That's fine, everyone has a bad day if work. We get to the room and find that the bed frame has two bent legs underneath. Basically, when you lie down, your feet would be about 6" higher then where your head is. It was late so we just pu... The hotel is about 15 minutes from Parliament Hill. Rooms are dusty. Coffee maker is dusty. Refrigerator is not cold and no freezer. There is no temperature control on the refrigerator. Remember that they allow pets in this hotel so be ready that any room may smell like pets even when you are told that guests with pets are on the first floor, the second floor still smells. The carpet still feels moist. Room 211's bathtub had mildew around the tub and the tub coating is peeling off on the tub... Read more

This hotel is an old hotel likely from the 70's. It is clean but basic with hefty prices for a room. We paid $203 for a 2 double bed (not queen) for a night. The hotel is fairly close to shopping and restaurants do that is a plus. Otherwise it is not worth the amount charged.

At first blush walking into the room it seemed okay. After spending 3 minutes reality set in. Yuck! The bathroom smells like it was cleaned with urine! TV turns to snow a few times each 15 minutes. The cheap price is not worth it. Try anywhere else.

Older Hotel near highway. When we reserved, we thought it was closer to the city center, but it was okay. Only a 10 minute drive in rush hour traffic. It's an older building, but was clean enough. Breakfast was sub par, poor selection, but we did not go hungry.

Yes this is an older hotel however it was clean, staff were friendly and the hotel is in a very quiet area. We arrived on a return trip from the East Coast. The hotel is just off the main highway and very easy to find. We are from a small city so we were delighted that this hotel was in a safe area and still considered within the downtown core. Grey Line bus tours picked us up at the hotel for our tour. We were a couple blocks from a huge mall as well as a couple dining options. We had our bikes... Read more

We stayed there this past weekend. Not the cleanest place, bathroom smelt like urine, fan made a loud noise while on. Very loud place. Lots of sirens day and night. Did not feel the safest at this hotel. Had to work Friday, could not stay connected to internet long enough to do anything. This place needs some work.

First off, it is not a bad place to stay for a short period of time. It is situated near a shopping center and several grocery stores so shopping and food aren't a concern. The front desk staff lack what is usually a strong point for most Choice Hotels. Service and check-in are pretty much cut and dry to a point where you feel like you are disturbing them when you walk in to check into your room. The rooms were clean and well kept with working microwave and fridge which are always appreciated. ... Read more

I booked our room for Saturday October 22. Upon arriving we were greeted by a nice gentleman at the front desk. Check in was quick and efficient. We entered our room and quickly shut the open windows (3 degrees outside) and put on the heat. I entered the washroom and to say the least I was mortified. The bathroom shower was dirty, the caulking around the tub was completely black mold and the toilet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. I abruptly went to the housekeeper in the hallway (Le... Read more

We enjoyed our stay at the Comfort Inn in Ottawa but had some difficulties finding it. It was at the end of a dead end road and there was much construction to go through to get to it. However, this was not the Inn's fault, and once we were there, they were very welcoming. The room we had was on the ground floor with patio doors that opened to the parking lot. This made it very easy to pack and unpack our vehicle. The bed was comfortable and the sheets crisp and white. The hot breakfast was... Read more

Very unprofessional guy at the front desk. No problem with the renovated room. Breakfast...NOT...the eggs were like eating rubber...the bacon a joke...2 pieces of bacon was equivalent to 1/4 piece of real bacon. The General Manager not helpful or accommodating. Rate of the room was not worth it. We will never stay there again.

Older hotel by Laurentian Mall and convient to highway. Parking is available but you could have headlights pointing in you room for several minutes while visitors ready for check in or out. Decent enough breakfast in a small area. Wait out the rush then go in around 730 am. I stay at the motel 2-3 times a year when visiting Ottawa, we have a dog and it is very convenient to have a room on the ground floor, they have a good breakfast, clean room and a very comfortable bed with great pillows. I only have 1 problem and that's the sliding door, I have staying in the same rooms for the past three years, I think it's time to repair the sliding doors, I am in my 70's and can no longer fight with a door.

We have been staying here for the last few years while attending our Christmas party at a local restaurant. Great location for us as we can have a few drinks, enjoy the party and walk back to the hotel. Our rooms have always been clean and well-appointed, the beds super-comfortable and this year I noticed the new bathtubs!
