Great location, a nice and spacious room with a furnished kitchen. The breakfast is included but you can easily prepare your own if you get tired of having the same thing every morning on an extended stay. The gym is well equipped and the staff very friendly.

First, this appears to be a nice hotel and I can say from experience that its sister, the Hampton next door is nice...but they appear to have a business practice which isn't cool, and which folks may want to know about... I booked Homewood Suites a few weeks in advance. I checked in almost exactly at check in time, only to be told that Homewood was overbooked and that I was "bumped" (check in staff words) to the Hampton. In the end this is not a big deal as I liked the Hampton but the way I w... Read more

I stayed with a friend in a two-queen + one king suite as we wanted a shared living room area with separate bedrooms. It was clean with comfortable beds and plush towels and bathrobes. The facility appeared to have good sound proofing as we didn't hear any noise from the many wedding party guests and families staying in the building at the same time. The hot breakfast was of average quality, what one may expect from typical mid-range accommodations.

We spent 4 days at Homewood Suites and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Our room was well equipped and very clean. The staff was very helpful with any and all requests we had. The location is directly across the street from the Pedway which connects the hotel to the boardwalk area. Because of its location, our vehicle was not needed for visiting the sights in the city. Breakfast was more than adequate and they even provide a buffet style of dinner. This would be a plus for families with childr... Read more

We had a harbour view room on the 14th floor which was totally worth the few $$ to upgrade to. The location of this hotel is at the top of the hill, so although the Harbourfront and most restaurants and attractions (including the Citadel) are within walking distance it could pose a problem for people with mobility issues, or for young children and strollers. As we were not renting a car for the first few days, front desk staff recommended Atlantis Limousine service from the airport to the hotel ... Read more

My wife and i had a great time driving to all of the small villages along the east, west, and south shore over a 5 day period. we really needed 7 days to complete the island, to really enjoy the entire island. The weather was perfect for us every day 75 to 80 degrees the whole time we were there, and high 50 to 60 at night. The lobsters were great and all the other seafood we found across the country. Also we had Lebanese food 3 different times and it was the best we ever had.

We stayed here for a night and found the beds comfortable and they had a choice of pillows: firm or soft (feather/down combo). We had a room with two queen beds. We wanted a cot because our kids didn't want to sleep together but they said it wouldn't fit in the room. Breakfast was ok. Nothing special. Some scrambled eggs, chicken sausages (ew), waffles, cereal, fruit cocktail. It was located about a 20 minute walk from the boardwalk downtown. Keep in mind most of the shops close by 6 or 8 ... Great stay. Big, bright and immaculate room - looked as though I was one of the first to have it. Comfortable bed, quiet, friendly staff. Good location on 'top of the hill' - an easy walk to the harbor and shops. 'Uphill' a good after-dinner activity. Onsite parking a huge plus, safe and clean garage. Complimentary breakfast had good variety, attentive staff to refill buffet and clear tables. Overall excellent experience.

We stayed here for 2 nights and had a studio, it was lovely! Nice, big and very clean with a lovely big bed, kitchen with microwave, a large TV & shower (but no bath) on the 5th floor. I really cannot find fault with the place. If I was going to go back to Halifax I would prefer to stay nearer the water front as Halifax is VERY hilly and this hotel is at the top of a steep hill. If you don't mind that then I don't think you can beat it for the price.

We stayed 3 nights and loved this 2-year-old hotel. The manager and front desk staff were excellent; splendid beds, breakfasts, quiet, cleanliness. Because of property limitations, parking is available only in nearby garages for a fee, unlike the more convenient free adjacent lots at other Homewood Suites I've been to. Notwithstanding the somewhat inconvenient parking, this is the best Homewood Suites I've ever stayed in -- the U.S. properties should take note and follow suit.

Spacious rooms with full kitchen if needed. But let's be real, Halifax Sports Bar is about a 4 minute walk away and I'd much rather watch sports on a crap-ton of screens while drinking beer and eating wings instead of cooking a healthy meal in my room. Great hotel, great staff, great city. This is my go-to hotel when I'm in town for business

I'd recommend this place! Friendly service and it would be a great spot if you wanted to go to a moose heads game. Room that we had was spacious and clean. You have to get there early to ensure you have parking inside because of limited spaces

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The room was spacious, modern, very clean and had an extremely comfortable bed. Our main reason for staying here was to have a nice relaxing weekend and this property allowed for that. The breakfast was decent and well stocked, especially given how busy it was. The only two small items for improvement, but very minor in my opinion, was the elevators and the shower lighting. The elevators were very slow and we waiting very long to catch one. The lig... In the future, I won't stay anywhere else in Halifax. They offer complimentary breakfast and evening fare and limo service to downtown. The staff is friendly and accommodating. My family will definitely stay here again and we can't wait!

So pleased with this hotel. The junior suite is very spacious with a very comfortable king size bed and a double pull out sofa. The kitchen included a counter 2 burner stove, a full size fridge, sink and dishwasher. All dishes were included in the room. Although I did not use the shower my husband did and stated that the water was only luke warm at best. Rooms are very quiet when parents keep their children in their rooms, not out playing in the hallway. This though is not the hotels fault. The ... Read more

We enjoyed our stay at Homewood Suites in downtown Halifax. Although I didint have a great first impression when I had called to confirm our reservation on Tuesday morning and to let them know we would be a late arrival. I didnt find the girl on the phone very friendly she made me feel stupid for calling, I guess people dont do that very often anymore, lol. However the staff we met in person at the hotel were great, very friendly and professional. The hotel and rooms were spotless, we always ... Read more

We had an amazing stay at Homewood Suites. The hotel was beautiful, the staff above and beyond friendly, complimentary breakfast was amazing. Parking was very easy. The rooms were quiet and beds very comfortable. I don't know if I could have asked for a better place to stay. We will definitely be staying there again.

From check-in to check-out, the service we received at this hotel was excellent. I would like to particularly comment on two employees, Mitch at the front desk and Karen who worked in the restaurant. Both so friendly and went out of their way to help us. I highly recommend this hotel if you're looking for somewhere that offer more than just a room. We had a living area together with a kitchen. Makes for a lot of convenience early mornings and late nights.

A warm and very welcoming atmosphere with great service! It was our first time staying at this hotel, but it won't be our last. The suite was very well appointed and would be an excellent choice for an extended stay.

This is a great hotel in a great location. For some odd reason, they want at lest 200 words of commentary before I can finish this "voluntary" survey. So, other than advising you not to do the "voluntary" survey, this really is a great hotel in a great location and at a very reasonable price. The art work in the hotel public areas as well as the hotel rooms was also very slick.

The hotel was very nice and clean, wasn't expecting full size appliances in the room. Would pay extra for the view of the Harbor. We had a view of the Citadel Hill and parking garage. We had the King size bed and was really soft and comfortable. Have no negative review at all to say
