The Prince of Wales Hotel is lovely. The staff at the hotel is just amazing and so helpful. We also ate at the hotel's restaurant and had tea in the hotel's Tea Room. Anywhere you went in the hotel and staff was there to help you. Jake was great.

The hotel was quaint and definitely takes you back to more traditional time. The architecture was unique and the features were quite detailed. My room was amazing with a suite and fireplace (although the weather outside was 33 C). There were small details they hotel made my stay special. The most memorable was the hotel driver Greg. He was awesome. Not only did he drive us he was very hospitable and very friendly. His customer service was top notch.

I waited to write this review. After you read my review of a sister property, the Pillar & Post, you will understand why. I am a frequent visitor to Niagara-on-the-Lake (NOTL). We visit for get-aways, the vineyards, the Shaw festival and the beauty. I've stayed in quaint B & B's, and many, many times at the Vintage Hotels. I feel they are missing the mark, and have gone somewhat downhill. The First sign, was two years ago, when we went to Queen's Landing for Thanksgiving (American). The di... Read more

My wife and I stayed at the Prince of Wales hotel in mid-May 2016 for my friends' wedding. It's a lovely hotel right in the middle of Niagara-on-the Lake. Our room on the 2nd floor was good size with a king-size bed. Clean and comfortable. Bathroom was decent size and water pressure was good. We didn't have a nice view from the window but that was ok as we didn't spend much time in our room. Overall, we were very pleased with this hotel. This is our second visit to this establishment. We were greeted by the lovely Victoria who handled our check in wonderfully. She told us the hotel was full but we had been upgraded to room 208. Noting we were already paying close to $400 a night we thought this would be delightful. Alas, this was not the case. Our room seemed great at first look but once we settled we noticed the plastic stuck on the wall in the bathroom, peeling wall paper, torn wall paper, stains on the curtain, holes w... Read more

We had lunch on the patio at the Prince of Wales hotel. We did not stay in the hotel but were very impressed with the bar and the restaurant. Staff were very pleasant and knowledgable. We were able to watch the horse and carriages as we chatted with our friends while waiting for lunch. Food was very good and they have a great selection of beers.

We attended a wedding at Niagra on the Lake and opted to stay here despite most of the guests staying at a local Hilton ( at a lesser price). We were only staying for a night and decided to splurge on this hotel since the bridal party was staying here and the reviews led me to think it would be luxe. Evereything was perfect - the area, the hotel, the staff and the food were second to none. We stayed in the Honeymoon suite (although it was our 40th anniversary!!) - stunningly beautifully preserved room with unbelievable views. Would certainly return if we visit Canada again

This is a vintage hotel in the heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake. It is across the street from a lovely park and along Picton Street which is filled with quaint boutiques and eateries, including wonderful confection shoppes. Our room was private, quiet, clean and comfortable. It was as if we had the hall to ourselves because we never heard a door close or anyone talking. There was fresh fruit in our room along with bottled water. Each evening a rose was delivered to our room.

We booked a suite at the Prince of Wales over the phone, that was to include a king bed, pull out couch for our daughter, crib for our baby, bottle of wine, and breakfast for two. The hotel lobby was gorgeous, and the staff friendly and helpful upon check in. Spent a day at the Secret Garden spa. Excellent place when you need some time to unwind. I had the most glorious 80 minute massage. In between our spa services we ordered some food which was super late to arrive. The spa was nice enough to reschedule our facials so that we had time to eat and didn't need to rush. It was great customer service and greatly appreciated. And the pizza and brie tray were totally worth it.
