Decided to take advantage of a discount offer where you buy a package voucher for $199 and it includes breakfast, a waiting bottle of wine in the room on arrival and some tasting passes but not the resort fee of $15 per night or the taxes which is fine. I have traveled all over the world and only recently started to write reviews of places I stay or visit. My reviews are as detailed and as honest as can. The good gets praised and the bad gets mentioned. Check in 4 pm- didn't go badly but not t... Read more

We took my mother for High Tea and what a lovely experience. First the room is beautifully decorated. Then the server brings out a selection box of a dozen teas to choose from and the presentation really makes it an event. She describes everything in detail and my mom felt so special! Full house so make reservations.

I've stayed at the Prince of Wales a number of times (winter and summer) and it has never disappointed me! It's a beautiful hotel, the lobby smelled of roses and the staff is wonderful. There were bottles of water and fresh oranges in our room when we arrived which was great. The room was very clean and housekeeping checked in on us each night between 8-9pm to see if we needed anything! The girls from housekeeping left us roses in our room too! We always have afternoon tea and it is such an enjo... Read more

Recently had a quick weekday getaway at the Prince of Wales. Booked online with ease. Check in was smooth and reception was exceptional. The woman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is decorated expertly in vintage style. Some would call it dated, but this is not the case. Truly beautiful design that adds to the ambience. All modern amenities with a beautiful bath and fireplace. Bottled water and a plate of fruit in room upon arrival as well as vouchers for a spec... Read more

The Prince of Wales in historic Niagara on the Lake is a genuine five star experience. The hotel reflects the elegance of the Victorian era while combining it with 21st century comfort, convenience and hospitality. The Shaw Festival and shopping are steps away and a dozen wineries are within a 15 minute drive.

We recently spent a night at the Prince of Wales and booked into one of the suites. We found the room to be lovely - well appointed with antiques and very spacious. The bathroom was very large with a glass surround shower and a Jacuzzi tub. Since everything in Niagara on the Lake is very close by, it is a pleasant stroll down the main street looking into the shops. Self parking can be a problem if the hotel has events. Non-room guests take all the parking spots. However, the hotel does off... Read more

A great experience, a fabulous decor with very comfortable rooms. We had selected a suite and I'm glad we did. Great bed with a canopee, superb decor. We felt we were back at the end of the 19th century. The hotel features all the modern amenities one needs, efficient Wifi, hot water, minibar. Very friendly staff. You get a rose upon bed-turndown. The hotel must be spending a fortune in roses as there are bouquets every where. We loved every moment.

A grand old hotel nestled in Niagara-on-the-Lake that brings you 1800's charm and elegance with a modern touch. Room was huge with a giant king bed that I had to use the steps to get on to. Soft, plush and plenty of pillows. Staff were friendly and helpful. Everything about the place was first class, a great place for a romantic stay. Coming back for sure.
