Stayed there with spouse and small grandson and had been there is past and found it good for the price however this time we were put in a room (132) outside the main building and was not impressed. Very outdated, looked like a motel room from the 60's when travelling with my parents when I was a kid. Had to go into main building by going around to front entrance as once you were in this area, you could not get back in through door that led you out. There is a night club across the road near the IM... Good location. Not as flashy as say the Marriott or Sheraton which will face the falls, but it's a very short walk to the falls. Located opposite IMAX and the tower. The hotel staff are great. From doing the little extras like helping print your bus ticket to the friendly housekeeper who shares interesting stories to the nice bar tender who gave me a drink on the house. Overall great experience. I'll consider coming back to stay here if I ever return to the falls.

When we arrived, the receptionist didn't explain us anything, all he wanted is us to sign the form with the extra charges, hotel tax and parking. And be vigilant as they tried to swindle us by charging $18 instead of $15 for the parking. When we got to the room, they gave us a lower category of room than we booked. When I went back to the reception, the receptionist was saying that I was wrong. When the manager finally decided to move from the back office to help the unqualified receptionist, th... Read more

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Old Stone Inn for a weekend. The hotel is charming with a very inviting lobby, cute patio area, and interesting history as a flour mill. The check in process went smoothly although the front desk staff wasn't particularly friendly. Getting to the room was a chore as we had to go up several flights of stairs and through many doors with our luggage. The room itself was clean although a bit oddly designed and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel was quiet even th... Read more

Booked thru Groupon. Clean room, nice and helpful staff, great location! We stayed in the luxury King room. Bed was AMAZING. Incredibly comfy. WiFi was a little troublesome at first, but we eventually got connected and had no issue. The pool looked clean and well maintained, although very small. Yes, there is a mandatory service fee and parking fee. But as long as you know that going in, you won't be upset. We got free wine vouchers at the hotel bar with our Groupon package. The Staff we came in to contact with were very helpful and friendly, and our room was more than adequate for our one night stay in Niagara Falls. Although the main entrance/Reception, dining room, etc was very quaint, the guest rooms/corridors are in need of a little updating (nothing major, just looked a little tired). That said, it was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The downside to this hotel is that the bedroom walls are thin and we were disturbed by a couple next door coming back ... Read more

We have only spent one night in the Old Stone Inn, but it was realy nice. The rooms are big but rather old furnished. But that is not a negative point as it corresponds to the stile of the hotel, built in an ancient stone house. Inside you have a realy good restaurant, the Flour Mill. We tried it in the evening (the menues are different for lounch and for dinner). My wife's absolut vegetarian papardelle were excellent and my roasted Ontario Duck Breast also. The hotel has a very good location; you can walk and be in 10 minutes in the main attractions of Niagara. The hotel is very comfortable, good bed and good classic decor. The staff is very professional, good reception service. A buffet breakfast with fresh fruit and natural juices could be presented and a coffee machine in the room will fulfill the experience of the boutique hotel.

I had my elderly parents arrive before me after driving quite along ways. They would not let them in prior to the four o'clock checkin time. They had to wait in the lobby for three hours. It wasn't until I went to the front desk at 4 did I receive the keys. I had a specific need and they could it accommodate it. Also, I needed a washer and dryer for two items. . They gave me directions to the closest laundromat.

Our room was not ready when advised and we had to sit in the lounge waiting over an hour (while many others checked in successfully). When we finally got our room it was not as described. Booked beautiful standard room online but upon arrival, noisy and not discreet neighbor in adjoining room. As it was our honeymoon, we requested move to another same room type within Inn. Instead, staff moved/upgraded us to the honeymoon suite, treating us like class for our first trip to Niagara Falls. Inn was just outside main hub, so it was very quiet but within 10 min walk of everything- Falls, Museums, Casino etc. Will stay here again next time we vacation in Niagara.

We loved the stone work of the building and the beds were very clean and comfortable. We had a small dog and this hotel was much less expensive than the pet friendly hotel on the American side. There's no view of the falls as it's a historic property, but there's a trail down the hill (lots of small steps) that leads straight to the Flower/Rosegarden and King George. Super convenient. When we arrived our room had a smokey smell and I talked to reception and they immediately switched us and sent someone to check the room. It was a good location and my kids enjoyed the pool. Our AC didn't work the first night so we requested a room change which we didn't get until 2pm the next day and wasted our entire morning waiting around for them. Also the wifi sucked and they preauthorized more than they were supposed to off of my card. They also weren't helpful at all in explaining the invoice for the charges made and the invoice was different than what the lady showed me on her computer screen which I thought was really sketchy.

Extremely disappointed with my stay of the hotel. The shower head was not properly functioning, dirty towels left on the floor upon arrival. Bathroom stink was dirty and stains on the carpet. Booking.com pricing was a lot less than what the hotel even charged us. The conversion rate was not even close and was over charged. Would not recommend anyone staying at this hotel.

Our family of eight had to get two rooms and considering the high cost of everything at Niagara Falls, I wondered how this hotel would really be for the relatively competitive price we were able to find online. First of all, the location turned out to be ideal! Of course, you can't actually see the falls from the hotel, but you walk out the front entrance, turn left and in five minutes you are walking down a staircase into Victoria Park and Niagara Falls! The only reason we are giving this hotel a 3 is because of the 1904 Bar located on the premises and the look and feel of the lobby (we like old places) and a comfy bed. That's pretty much where it ends. For the extremely high cost they charge for an average room you would at least expect that it might be a little more "fresh" looking and would be free of dust and mold, free of a chlorine smell (we were not near the pool) but unfortunately that was not the case. Some of our party had spotty quality in terms of drapes that needed attention, lights that did not work, and the dreaded clock alarm set by last occupant that housekeeping neglected to cancel. So generally satisfactory but be sure to let management know if you have any issue as they will be quick to sort them out.

Good value. We had breakfast at the inn and service was great and food was good. The room had an electric fireplace and it was nice to have it in the room. Staff were friendly and helpful and we will definitely stay again when we visit the falls. The carpet is getting tired however the fact pets are allowed, it didn't matter to us.

Stayed at the hotel for two nights as anniversary gift from kids. The room was nice but only had one chair in it so hard for a couple to sit, talk, and have a drink. We did ask for another chair be brought to the room but it never showed up. On the Friday night checked out the restaurant and asked if needed to make reservations for Saturday night but they said no worries and no need. Came back Saturday afternoon to book a dinner time but now only time left was 8pm which we took. At arrival fo... Read more

We stayed one night here and it was great! We brought our pup along and they were even accommodating to him. We arrived around 12:30 and check in wasn't until 4. Heather in the restaurant opened the bar early for us so we could watch our Nittany Lions play! We had a fantastic time with her! We were able to have her as our waitress at dinner as well and she was wonderful there too! Our stay was wonderful and we would highly recommend choosing this hotel for your visit. Bad customer service, front desk agents never greet us. They overcharged me without any notice, I called back and they said it was for extra cleaning. We stayed for two nights. The first day when we check in, just in an hour, housekeeping knocked our door to see if we needed housekeeping. During our stayover we didn't request any housekeeping service. On the second night, we asked for towels and they told us to pick it up ourselves. The day of check out we paid in cash. And after coming back to ... Read more

Room was very comfy, a nice quiet hotel to rest and relax.... close to the attractions, walking distance, restaurant is okay... Con: Side door to the parking lot would lock when going out side to the vehicle and then we would have to walk around the hotel back to front to get back to the room.

I will start from what what good - bed and bedding. What was bad: everything else. We were placed in a room with swimming pool view, when asked to change room - customer service rep tried to convince to stay "well, u can just close the curtain". Swimming pool water was icy cold... Shower in the room had very low pressure. wannabe-fancy restaurant with wannabe fancy furniture and fancy pricing yet very average food (breakfast). Lobby looks very nice on picture however in reality this ... Read more

We were able to check in a little earlier than the stated 4pm. The room (315) was clean and the fireplace was actually gas-fired (not a cheesy electric one). The furniture was nicer than most hotel rooms. The room itself was quiet, but the revelers outside at 1:30 in the morning were disturbing. Nothing the hotel could do about it but it did reverberate off the patio door glass. Was nice to have a sink and mirror outside the bathroom so it didn't get covered in fog. Bed was firmer than we are ... Read more

The hotel had an excellent location and the bed was quite comfortable. Did not appreciate the adjoining door to the next room. Neighbours were very noisy and could hear everything they were saying. At checkout was not even asked how the stay was or if we had any issues during the stay. :(

Stayed there one night with my husband. The hotel is lovely I like the old school feeling.it is really a boutique hotel. The front desk was friendly The room was big enough and really clean The only thing is that you can hear the noise as I kept hearing people walking and coming back from parties. But I will come back

Good place to stay with dogs. The beds are comfy, the access to most of Niagara Falls is nice, and the price was right for what it is. It really doesn't seem like a boutique hotel, more just an old motel, that they've closed off/updated the common areas. I agree with another poster it is a bit of a maze to get certain rooms without great signage. The rooms didn't have much character, just a bit of a step up for any chain hotel of the same price. If coming back to the Falls with the dog I wou... Read more

Was hoping to have a nice romantic weekend in Niagara. From the photographs and room descriptions on their website I was happy to book. The lobby is beautiful when you walk in but as you go through and up the stairs the walls and carpets are dingy. I booked a room with city view and got one that overlooked their tiny pool and lounge chair area. The finishings in the room were lovely, the furniture was beautiful, but the room didn't have a mini fridge or microwave (basics for any hotel stay). I... Read more

We booked two rooms for an overnighter and got two 'Courtyard Queens'. These rooms were not in the quaint old part of the hotel but on wings out back. The rooms were dated and in need of some upgrades as the bathroom door wouldn't close because of shifting. They were noisy because of the walkby guests. There were add-ons too like the parking fee which was unreasonable considering they gave you a slip to put in the window to distinguish your vehicle from freeloading tourists. Breakfast in the... I had a fun time when I stayed for a local charity event. However I was disappointed that I paid a premium discount rate for a standard room, no view, no amenities, broken patio door, cold pool. I have received so much more for less at other hotels in the area. For example, I have had a falls view room with a whirlpool. I will say that the staff were friendly and the lobby & dining room were lovely to look at.

We stayed here 5 yrs ago and expected the same great experience. Obviously under new ownership, they have increased their prices and enhanced the decor in the lobby. However, this is the extent of the 'upgrades'. DO NOT EXPECT high-end service or quality. Front desk staff were short with us, rude and unwelcoming. We booked a Queen suite, and were surprised to walk into a standard room with two double beds. Front desk offered no compensation or refund for the downgraded room. The shiny lobby is t... Read more

The Old Stone Inn just so happened to be the first good looking choice on a "pet friendly hotels in Niagara Falls" google search, and it exceeded my expectations. The staff was very friendly and the interior of the building is gorgeous. It was all set up with glittering seasonal decorations and it looks like an older hotel that has been kept up beautifully. Our waiter the first night, Matt, chatted with us and gave us tips about Old Niagara and a few of his favorite wineries and was a wonderful ... Read more

We arrived on a bleak and windy day. Disabled parking was available at the entrance to the hotel. Check in was efficient and helpful, although you need to be sure you understand the additional charges for parking and 'services/facility fee' etc. These amount to about CAD$25 Daily on top of the advertised room rate. Our room, 316, was in the newer part of the building. The usual amenities were provided including hair dryer, bath robes, and a good amount of large towels. The bathroom was clean but... Read more
