Stayed there with spouse and small grandson and had been there is past and found it good for the price however this time we were put in a room (132) outside the main building and was not impressed. Very outdated, looked like a motel room from the 60's when travelling with my parents when I was a kid. Had to go into main building by going around to front entrance as once you were in this area, you could not get back in through door that led you out. There is a night club across the road near the IM... Good location. Not as flashy as say the Marriott or Sheraton which will face the falls, but it's a very short walk to the falls. Located opposite IMAX and the tower. The hotel staff are great. From doing the little extras like helping print your bus ticket to the friendly housekeeper who shares interesting stories to the nice bar tender who gave me a drink on the house. Overall great experience. I'll consider coming back to stay here if I ever return to the falls.

When we arrived, the receptionist didn't explain us anything, all he wanted is us to sign the form with the extra charges, hotel tax and parking. And be vigilant as they tried to swindle us by charging $18 instead of $15 for the parking. When we got to the room, they gave us a lower category of room than we booked. When I went back to the reception, the receptionist was saying that I was wrong. When the manager finally decided to move from the back office to help the unqualified receptionist, th... Read more

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Old Stone Inn for a weekend. The hotel is charming with a very inviting lobby, cute patio area, and interesting history as a flour mill. The check in process went smoothly although the front desk staff wasn't particularly friendly. Getting to the room was a chore as we had to go up several flights of stairs and through many doors with our luggage. The room itself was clean although a bit oddly designed and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel was quiet even th... Read more

Booked thru Groupon. Clean room, nice and helpful staff, great location! We stayed in the luxury King room. Bed was AMAZING. Incredibly comfy. WiFi was a little troublesome at first, but we eventually got connected and had no issue. The pool looked clean and well maintained, although very small. Yes, there is a mandatory service fee and parking fee. But as long as you know that going in, you won't be upset. We got free wine vouchers at the hotel bar with our Groupon package. The Staff we came in to contact with were very helpful and friendly, and our room was more than adequate for our one night stay in Niagara Falls. Although the main entrance/Reception, dining room, etc was very quaint, the guest rooms/corridors are in need of a little updating (nothing major, just looked a little tired). That said, it was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The downside to this hotel is that the bedroom walls are thin and we were disturbed by a couple next door coming back ... Read more

We have only spent one night in the Old Stone Inn, but it was realy nice. The rooms are big but rather old furnished. But that is not a negative point as it corresponds to the stile of the hotel, built in an ancient stone house. Inside you have a realy good restaurant, the Flour Mill. We tried it in the evening (the menues are different for lounch and for dinner). My wife's absolut vegetarian papardelle were excellent and my roasted Ontario Duck Breast also. The hotel has a very good location; you can walk and be in 10 minutes in the main attractions of Niagara. The hotel is very comfortable, good bed and good classic decor. The staff is very professional, good reception service. A buffet breakfast with fresh fruit and natural juices could be presented and a coffee machine in the room will fulfill the experience of the boutique hotel.

I had my elderly parents arrive before me after driving quite along ways. They would not let them in prior to the four o'clock checkin time. They had to wait in the lobby for three hours. It wasn't until I went to the front desk at 4 did I receive the keys. I had a specific need and they could it accommodate it. Also, I needed a washer and dryer for two items. . They gave me directions to the closest laundromat.

Booked beautiful standard room online but upon arrival, noisy and not discreet neighbor in adjoining room. As it was our honeymoon, we requested move to another same room type within Inn. Instead, staff moved/upgraded us to the honeymoon suite, treating us like class for our first trip to Niagara Falls. Inn was just outside main hub, so it was very quiet but within 10 min walk of everything- Falls, Museums, Casino etc. Will stay here again next time we vacation in Niagara.

We loved the stone work of the building and the beds were very clean and comfortable. We had a small dog and this hotel was much less expensive than the pet friendly hotel on the American side. There's no view of the falls as it's a historic property, but there's a trail down the hill (lots of small steps) that leads straight to the Flower/Rosegarden and King George. Super convenient. When we arrived our room had a smokey smell and I talked to reception and they immediately switched us and sent someone to check the room. It was a good location and my kids enjoyed the pool. Our AC didn't work the first night so we requested a room change which we didn't get until 2pm the next day and wasted our entire morning waiting around for them. Also the wifi sucked and they preauthorized more than they were supposed to off of my card. They also weren't helpful at all in explaining the invoice for the charges made and the invoice was different than what the lady showed me on her computer screen which I thought was really sketchy.

Extremely disappointed with my stay of the hotel. The shower head was not properly functioning, dirty towels left on the floor upon arrival. Bathroom stink was dirty and stains on the carpet. Booking.com pricing was a lot less than what the hotel even charged us. The conversion rate was not even close and was over charged. Would not recommend anyone staying at this hotel.

No exercise room.... Everything else was up to par. Room wasn't available for unreasonable amount of time, although upgraded to suite for compensation. The restaurant in the hotel was delicious, but over priced and small portions.

Was worried by the reviews I read, but this place was great! 2 adults, a 3 year old and a 4 month old, with a dog! The room was spacious, the staff were very friendly and accomodating. A walk to Clifton Hill, Skylon Tower, and the Falls. Recommend this hotel to all ???.

This is a really nice place. It dates from 1903 but has been fully renovated. and is under a ownership change. Front desk and all staff very helpful. Those who use the Ontario Finest Inns should note that the staff did not seem to honour the membership cards..or new much about the benefits of membership.. However that being said, we were upgraded to a superior room. Bar is really quite nice, and the dining room cooks from scratch..breakfast, lunch and dinner. Nice changed from the powede... Read more

Extremely dissatisfied with the room. The room with 2 queen bed had ONE chair. Two sinks one inside and one outside the washroom, however, no hook/hanger where you can hang a towel. There was no water, coffee maker or a microwave in the room.

We chose this hotel from the internet. Not familiar with the area, but turned out to be a great choice. The restaurant food was great, especially the breakfast. If you are a gambler, some other hotels in the area might be a better choice. Only real negative was the $18.00 per day parking fee.

The best part was that I could bring my dog with myself but other than that I didn't like the hotel. WC clugged easily. There was no refrigerator. And the keep your credit card or preauthorize it to pay 200 dollars in case of extra charges and I didn't like the way he treated with me.

Our family of eight had to get two rooms and considering the high cost of everything at Niagara Falls, I wondered how this hotel would really be for the relatively competitive price we were able to find online. First of all, the location turned out to be ideal! Of course, you can't actually see the falls from the hotel, but you walk out the front entrance, turn left and in five minutes you are walking down a staircase into Victoria Park and Niagara Falls! What a location. The front desk staf... Read more

Low rise building in the middle of all the activities; north to clifton hill, south to the casino district, east to the actual falls & west to non-tourist privaliges. Two room suite /w a jet tub for two, two T.V's, king bed, puppy allowed for $40C/night. Pool, restaurant & bar located on-site. Patronized the Old Mill Inn restaurant, eventful setting, food was uniquely flavourful and wait staff welcoming & very attentive. Free Ice! & a vending machine located by the elevator.

We booked off the internet. Hotel was nice. We had a two queen bed room. Beds were comfortable. Air conditioner worked fine. Room was clean. Desk staff very helpful. If you require an elevator I would suggest saying so when booking. Our second floor room was not accessible by elevator. We brought a scooter for my mother and we could not take it to the room. The desk staff found an empty conference room on the first floor allowing us to charge it overnight. Although difficult, my mother used ... Read more

The location was excellent, it was a 10 mins walk to the falls and 10 mins walk to Clifton Hill. It is a smaller scale hotel. The hotel was cute, the pictures are very similar to the hotel lobby. The first floor rooms were dimly lit so try to book the upper levels. Compared to other hotels in the area, the Old Stone Inn Boutique is not stuck in the 80's and 90's decor. For a one night or two night stay it's very clean and comfortable. The late check in is a bit annoying. The hotel lobby employee... Read more

The only reason we are giving this hotel a 3 is because of the 1904 Bar located on the premises and the look and feel of the lobby (we like old places) and a comfy bed. That's pretty much where it ends. For the extremely high cost they charge for an average room you would at least expect that it might be a little more "fresh" looking and would be free of dust and mold, free of a chlorine smell (we were not near the pool) but unfortunately that was not the case. I realize the hotel is old but ... Read more

There is no refrigerator or microwave in the room. There isn't even a hook on the bathroom to hang clothes. Allowed dog but charge too much, extra $40/night. Clean room. You must access room through main lobby. Our room was last one, at end of hall. They should allow key card access from other doors, for convenience. No shuttle service.

Old world charm meets Niagara Falls. This inn is in the perfect location, walking distance from the zip line, the Maid of the Mist, many restaurants, a casino, and shopping. The room was decorated like an old-style cottage, which we loved. The front desk staff was helpful and kind, and the restaurant served excellent lunch options. There is no view of the falls from the rooms, but it didn't matter to us.

We stayed here from 3-9 September. The room we had (we were told was a last minute upgrade). The room only had a couple of table lamps so was very dark and it overlooked the indoor pool which made the room smell of chlorine, we didn't mention it whilst we were there as didn't bother us too much but we wouldn't stay there again as it was more expensive than a lot of places we could have chosen and the parking was $17.99 a day, very steep, considering the Skylon car park just a few steps away wa... We used a Groupon deal to do a quick getaway and had a courtyard double queen bedroom. It wasn't the cleanest room (some cobwebs in the corners and build up in the bathroom) and the door didn't fit the frame well (so it was hard to open and close without a full body heave), but it was clean enough and comfortable enough. A quaint location as the name suggests. Excellent food. Fresh, large portions. I ate the 10oz striploin. Much room sauce was excellent. Started with a spinach salad. 2 glasses of cab, tirimisu for dessert. Friends ordered the gnocchi and fruit for dessert. They said it tasted fantastic, but the gnocchi was a smaller portion size (9 pieces). Service was excellent. Highly recommended.

The owner was charismatic, knew exactly what to suggested for food and entertainment. Not to mention the food is comparable with the finest restaurants in Italy! Worth the stay people and cheaper than the cookie cutter hotels on the strip!

The Old Stone Inn is definitely a boutique. A very short walk from The Falls, casino and many other top attractions, the Old Stone Inn is a quiet oasis in the centre of Niagara's tinsel and action. Built around a century old flour mill, the hotel is a little quirky; remembering the route to our room was interesting.
