We booked a high floor falls view room with a jacuzzi tub. We were expecting a decent view, but were stunned when we got to our 22nd floor room. Floor to ceiling windows with a birds eye view of the Horseshoe AND American Falls. We had a beautiful view of the river and rapids leading to the Horseshoe, and it was very private since there were no buildings across the water; only the state park. The staff was very friendly and very helpful, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. You could get... Read more

Nice hotel, spacious room, great staff and a spectacular few!! Going to Niagara Falls you need to have a room with a view!!. The Marriott is at the end of "hotel row". It was more quiet than staying in the middle of the town. The conceirge, Jo was extremely helpful with restaurant reservations, and tour suggestions. Thanks Jo!! Would definitely stay here again!

I have been a rewards member for years and stay only at Marriott for the most part. I seek them out! The location of this Marriott was GREAT! The accommodations were GREAT! But, truly the GREATEST was a young lady that checked us in. Her name was Alejandra. Alejandra truly EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS AND WENT OVER, ABOVE AND BEYOND!! Alejandra has the gift of customer service. Not all employees in the industry have the 'gift of customer service'. She is a credit to the industry!! Alejan... Read more

The high rooms in the hotel give you a most spectacular view of the Falls, both the American and the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, plus a glimpse of New York State. The rooms in the hotel are superior, especially those with a jaccuzzi bathtub , with glass doors that open up to the seating area. Unlike most other waterfalls, it is a surprise to be looking down at it rather than up. It is at it's most spectacular when it is frozen to a mere dribble in a very severe winter. If you can be lucky enough ... Read more

We stayed here for three nights and thought you could not beat the view! Add the fireworks at night, and it is quite amazing. Everyone in the hotel was friendly and helpful, especially arranging tours and recommending restaurants locally. However, the hotel is very busy, the desk clerks were clearly overwhelmed, and it is EXPENSIVE. We had 4 beers and it was over $40 US not counting tip. Dinner was outrageous and not that great. When first checking in the front desk person was telling me I did not have anything booked for the weekend. That he could not find my name this was very frustrating to me and eventually he found it and apologized and upgraded our room for the inconvenience. I stayed on the 12th floor in a corner room with the best view of the falls. I was even able to see the fireworks without having to leave my room. This hotel positioning was fabulous if you want a view of the falls from your bedroom windows. It truly was awesome. It is easy to get to all the attractions on the Wego bus system, which leaves from just outside the hotel You can buy a pass cheaply. I had a little confusion when I arrived in Toronto. Which if the Marriott hotels had I booked into. There are 2 side by side. Confusion cleared. I was on the Marriott FALLSVIEW (formerly Gateway to the Falls) Check-in was seamless and the Receptionist was very friendly. The lobby area spotless. A tour operator was just as you walked in. This was my not stop once I had offloaded my luggage in my room. My room was on the 18th Floor and when I entered my room, the view stopped me in my tracks. ... Read more

Great room great service. Booking tours at hotel was more expensive than it would have been to book at welcome center across the street. The only thing we didn't like was the "pf" promotional fee- which we were told is optional - and some vendors ( tour, spa) willingly removed but others ( Starbucks, gift shop) did not. The area businesses all contribute to this fund and must make enough money from tourists to cover cost.

I decided to bring my wife to Niagara Falls for her birthday. When I called the Marriott Fallsview, I asked for something special. From the moment we checked in, and the desk person stepped out from behind the desk to hand us the room key, I knew I had made the right decision. We were upgraded to a Jr Suite on the 20th floor, with the most amazing view of the Falls! The hotel anticipated everything we would need, and we were not disappointed! We give Marriott Fallsview the highest rating!

I feel like the pictures on booking this hotel were slightly misleading. The view is outstanding and cannot be disputed, however we paid extra for a superior room and it did not meet expectations. it is good hotel near the fall. You would enjoy the best if you get Fallsview room.Your room should be on higher floors to get best of it. Overall good experience.Hotel is expensive. Parking is charged. you can park your vehicle near IMAX cinema hall at a better price.

Extremely bad experience. Old rooms, threadbare hallway carpeting, cafeteria breakfast experience. Overworked concierge desk. The only good thing about the hotel is its view of Niagara Falls. Otherwise, this is a glorified two-star motel pretending to be a full-service Marriott. Most of the guests are tour groups or one-night tourists. The hotel restaurant overlooks a side street with no view whatsoever. Very, very disappointing.

I booked the Niagara Fallsview Marriott Hotel because of its location, and it more than lived up to my expectations. The view of the falls from our 14th floor room was superb. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Marriott Fallsview Hotel. It seems to be at the far end of all the other activity and was a bit of a walk to the falls but on a beautiful day, it was a breeze. It overlooks the Horseshoe Falls and our room had a spectacular view. The rooms have been updated and are beautiful and clean. The lobby seems a little dark and doesn't seem to get a lot of sun, I think because of the treeline. But it's very nice, modern, bustling and has a lobby bar. One evening... Read more

This hotel is excellent and the staff are friendly. But be careful when booking tours at the information counter. The expensive "Magnificent Tours" is not necessary unless you have trouble walking. Why? The "Behind the Falls" tour is right below the hotel. Take the lift down and go into the Visitor Center. It's fairly reasonably priced there. Then you only need to take a very nice, scenic walk along the river to the boat tour. Again, reasonably priced compared to the tour price. (The "Whirlpo... Read more

And the Marriott Fallsview scores amazingly high on all counts. Yes, they have a Spa and a Pool and a Gym and Restaurants.....yadda yadda yadda, but the property is maintained spotlessly, which is amazing since it caters to the tourist trade with a high turnover. The room was nice and the view was great. The restaurant prices were ridiculous! $50 for breakfast for two?!?! That's not counting the hotel taxes that are not listed with the price of the room, which added $100 to the cost of the room. And they charge for wifi? At the price of the room, it should be included.

I've stayed here many times over the last twenty years. In fact, it's been my only choice --every time I've come to Niagara Falls. The views are always excellent and the staff is nice enough...but I've noticed it's been on a downward spiral and this time, it's been evident enough to make me consider choosing a different hotel for last time. The stay was pleasant enough, room clean and spacious but disappointing with expensive dining prices, and at $269 a night I found make a complimentary to pay $7 for a bottle of water to make a complimentary tea/ coffee was a bit over the top

we stayed here in Sept 16. The hotel is a great location, easy walk to falls or the vertical rail carriage. the hotel is very efficient, you can sit with a drink or coffee and see the falls, valet parking all OK. the room (river view) had all we needed, Wi-Fi worked, free if you are a Marriot member. we only stayed here for one night: I would use the hotel again. a good location to use if its your first trip to Niagra, and you want a falls view room, the view from these rooms is super.

Arrived at 2.30 and one room ready. We were told that the other room on same floor would be ready in 20 minutes. After 3.55 we were allowed into the other room, not on the same floor but on a lower floor and when we checked in no safe. Phoned reception and was told that the new policy was to remove safes and get guests to use safe deposit box next to reception. Rooms a little tired and need of upgrading. All in all not a very good start and then the TOURIST TAX which was removed.t

The good: you are 5 minutes walk from the small gondola that takes you right to the Welcome Center to see the Falls. The staff is friendly, as most of the time in Canada. Our room had a stunning view of the Falls. As good as it gets. (Superior room with jacuzzi). The valet service was quick and efficient. The average: the rooms were ok, but need some update. The food in the bar was so so, the atmosphere is loud and not cosy. The bad: the breakfast is below standards. Fruit is not ripe, choice is... Read more

We booked a family suite with 2 queens, separate sitting room (sofa bed), on floor 14. There's no "13th" floor. Anyway, the room was excellent, staff friendly and helpful, and Magnificent Tours is in the lobby! We booked the 6 hr tour and loved it. Our children ages 3 and 4 enjoyed our stay and the tour as well. There was a fridge in the room and a tv in each of the separate spaces (sitting room w/falls view and sleeping area w/beds). How can the Marriott charge so much for rooms? Because it's right by the falls and the views from the bedrooms are second to none. They certainly can't charge what they do because the hotel itself is exceptional. Far from it! We stayed a night in one of the better rooms, on the 18th floor, but the furniture and decor was as dated as the rest of the hotel and it smelled like a previous guest had been chain-smoking in there. It was spacious enough and the bathroom included a giant, two-man jacuzz... Read more

Paid attention to the reviews on Trip Advisor and it paid off. The hotel front desk was very friendly as were the waiter and waitress in the lobby bar. The view from our room was spectacular. The hotel location was very good. Every hotel staff member that we came in contact with was there to please. We drove from Illinois and with GPS the hotel was an easy find.

We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. Great location, and staff at the bar, gift shop and Starbucks within were all friendly and extremely helpful. Ours was a double room on the 9th floor with a falls view. Sunrise is a favorite part of the day and could be viewed from our window. Amazing! And the gentle roar of the falls could be heard in the background. Close to walkway along the river front, and an incline nearby, getting us to our behind the falls tour.

For what we wanted this hotel was great - amazing views (we upgraded to a high floor and it was definitely worth it). Other than that it is what it is though - a big dated Marriot which could just as easily be a big dated Sheraton. It looked very tired and in my opinion is only a 3.5 * standard of hotel. Saying it's 4* given the standard of the hotel rooms and the service is pushing it. The bed was comfortable though. We had breakfast there - very convenient but very average in what they o...
