Hotel was clean and quiet for a busy hotel. It had a nice looking restaurant, but we did not eat there. We arrived early and we were given a room immediately. It is close to the falls. As soon as you walk out, you can see the Canadian falls from the street, and it is across the street from the casino. Great place to stay for the price.

This hotel is well situated within a close walk to the falls (* the terrain is hilly in this entire area). Check-in was quick and easy; parking was free/included; there is a restaurant on the ground floor. The day staff was helpful, friendly and informative. I was able to purchase a well-go bus day pass at the front desk and there are bus stops very near the hotel.

We got the two day stay package which included one dinner at the Skylon tower. Some things in the area have become rundown and other are thriving. The place was nice. Close to the fallsview casino. Real nice bar and restaurant. The only problem we had was there was a situation with 2 strippers in the room across from us. Stayed one night in late May. Had a room on the top floor which was nicer and more updated than expected (based on previous traveler photos). Location was great right at the top of the hill so very easy to walk everywhere without having to take the hill lift near the horseshoe falls. The only issue was with check-in. While we did arrive early and before check-in time, we were told to come back around 12:30 and a room should be ready (I am platinum). We came about around 1pm to be told that ... Read more

We visited couple of places when we went to Canada. We decided to go for Holiday Inn instead of Sheraton. The rooms were clean but you can easily see the aging. The location is great. Walking distance from the fall. Also, they give you free breakfast for kids(catch is that you have to eat with them). This throws off the free breakfast as options are not that great.

This is a nice hotel in a great location. It tries hard to maintain some standards and values. The breakfast buffet, for example, has proper hostess seating arrangements plus a separate menu if you don't want the buffet. It's good value and interesting 'people watch!' Anna the host appears to have eyes everywhere and there are lots of staff to clear tables. Janis the server deserves a mention because of her patience when dealing with a table of non- English speaking tourists. Stars both of them.

We were greeted pleasantly and found the room to be an average Holiday Inn room from the 1970s or 80s re-done. Not bad. The location is perfect. Just a short walk to the falls. What was not so good was the WiFi. For some reason it was hardly usable in our room. When we called the desk, the answer was "We've gotten a lot of complaints about that". The other not so good was that there was no refrigerator in the room but they offered to rent one to us for $10. We were not pleased.

Our main complaint was cleaniness at Cocco's Restaurant. While having breakfast there 2 mornings, and dinner there 1 evening. We found that when people left their table, it was just cleared, NOT wiped, then the table was reset for the next party to sit at. Also, while having dinner one evening we were in view of the food being prepared, as we watched the sous chef, spinning his finger in a clean dinner dish while waiting for the chef to prepare, then put the food in the dish he had his hands i... During a 2 week trip across Canada we've stayed mainly in Holiday Inns. This was generally acceptable but no extra effort was made, which we've seen in other venues. 'Free' wifi was available, but didn't work 95% of the time in the room or in the lobby. Despite complaining twice and being assured of action, nothing was done. The hotel was very nice and had a balcony that basically overlooked a parking lot. However, we were able to see the fireworks over the falls from our balcony. Hotel room was clean and bed was comfortable.

A decent hotel in Niagara Falls. It is reasonably priced, you get free parking, the room is clean and comfortable, and it is a reasonable walking distance for walking to Clifton Hill and the Falls. The only real downside is that you can not see the falls from this hotel. I would stay here again, especially during the high season, when the other hotels near the falls are outrageously priced.

It's cheap and clean. What more can you ask for. The service was fine, not entirely friendly but ok, for what little contact we had with them. We paid $119 for one night. Checked in early, and checkout wasn't until noon. Slept great! The place is showing its age, a little run down and outdated, but very clean and comfortable. Room was quiet, AC was great, wifi so-so. Walking distance from the falls and Clifton hill. Casino right across the street (we don't gamble) but great Grand Buffet inside... Read more

Clean and free parking! The place was nice and so was the staff. The hotel is located close to falls and you can walk down to the falls. Because of my mom being in a wheelchair we took the Wego down (located across across the street) . We were on the first floor facing the parking lot. The room is accessible but if you are in a wheel chair go in backwards to get in the room and the stripping between the hall and room is high. The bed is high and if someone is in a wheelchair they will have a h... Read more

This hotel is a quick walk distance away from the Falls. And right across the street from Falls View Casino. Lots of restaurants close by. It's an older hotel but comfortable. We would stay here again.

Location is good, 5 mins walk to falls and 15 mins walk to Clifton Hill. There is a lot of activities around Clifton Hill, so we don't have time to enjoy their pool, but it looks good. Room is ok, I saw a buds in bathroom during the night and another one on the wall.

Our first overnight stay in Niagara Falls. We stayed 5 nights and only used our car 2 days! Walked to Skylon Tower (next door), falls, parks, fireworks, Clifton Hill area, Hornblower boat to the Falls, countless restaurants, and more. WEGO tourist transportation has a stop right across the street and took us to every place we wanted to visit that was beyond walking( you don't have to walk, WEGO will go all the tansporting if you want).. Former reviews mentioned repeated internet problems but... Read more

It's a perfect location, close to the falls. And just around the corner of the skylon tower. The rooms are spacious and all have a balcony. Good value for the money. Breakfast was not the best but it's what you get in this kind of budget

This was a big let down for a holiday inn very run down. Needs to be updated Wi-Fi was spotty @ best. Had to be near the room door to get anything that's when we noticed the ants. The staff was fine no problems there the coco's restaurant was also a let down.

This hotel located very conviniently close to the falls. But I have to mention that you need to climb a steep hill to get to it. My Mom has hip problems and it was hard for her. The hotel itself is old and outdated in decor, but very clean. Beds are comfy, and there where plenty of towels provided. Hotel staff was very friendly and polite. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel - Coco's. That is the worst place I have seen in a long time! Bad food. So called breakfast buffet didn't even ha... Read more

I chose this hotel because of the great location and the fact that it had free parking. You can easily walk to the falls, Hornblower and other attractions including the fireworks at night but it is definitely a steep walk back up the hill to the hotel. The room itself was clean, the bathroom was definitely dated with some of the fixtures rusting, and the Wi-Fi signal was very weak. The restaurant cocos was expensive and the food was terrible. The staff was friendly and helpful. If you are... Read more

This hotel was very loud. Both because of the guests and the infrastructure. The air conditioning was incredibly loud in the room. Additionally, there are doors leading between each of the rooms. Our room had 2 doors leading to each of the adjoining rooms. The air passing between the cracks in the doors led to them banging all night long. I had to stuff a wash cloth under the door, which didn't help much. Additionally, the neighbors didn't lock their door, so I could have easily walked into thei... Read more

Good hotel within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the Falls. Large parking lot located behind the hotel which is next to SkyTree. Rooms are fine. Hotel does not include breakfast (unlike most of their other Holiday Inns).

This was a good place to stay for the price, besides, if feels like a discount if you compare American $$ to Canadian $$. Good bed and pillows but the rooms definitely need an update, all of the furniture, AC & heater, phone, coffee maker and bathroom look from the 80's or 90's. The shower was fine but the bathtub looks very old. There were only 2 power outlets and we had to disconnect lamps in order to charge our electronics.

I should have read the other reviews before choosing to stay here. Up since 3am because of a group partying in the room above us. My 5 year old son says it sounds like "fireworks" with all their noise. The front desk tried to help but what can they really do? There goes a good night's sleep we really needed!

Like most hotels near the falls, this Holiday Inn is dated. For example: the furniture for the tv was big enough to hold a big fat tv from the 90's. And the wifi kept disconnecting, just like the olden days. The hotel offers free parking and is a 5 minute walk away from the falls. Which is better than most hotels in this area offer. Our room was large, clean and the bed was small but comfortable. There's no view if the falls from the room though. Instead, we had a view of the ice machine. Super... Read more

This hotel is in a great area and close to the falls and all the main attractions. A 10 minute walk max to anything in the immediate area. The price for our room was reasonable, however the room itself could use some upgrades. The wallpaper was peeling and needed replaced and the carpets could use a good scrubbing. The tv channel selection was very lacking, but I guess you don't go to watch tv. Staff was friendly and helpful. A fridge in the room or some bottled water would be nice. The vending ... Read more

We had to cancel our reservation two weeks in advance, due to a family emergency and the hotel would not give us a refund. They took $178.48 from us and provided nothing in return. They had plenty of time to rent out the room, so they probably made double the amount of money and basically stole from us. DO NOT ever book with this chain of hotels - they are thieves. AND no, when we booked we were not told that we would loose all of our money if we had to cancel.

We had a great stay at this hotel but it does need some upgrades. We had a room with a jacuzzi tub and the jets need to be serviced as does the shower. The restaurant Coco's left a lot to be desired. We stayed at this tired old 70s looking hotel last week and it was truly dreadful, not what we expect with this brand. It was noisy beyond all normal bounds. If you like: listening to the conversation of the guests next door to you; listening to the bathroom habits of the guests next door to you; being woken up by plumbing noises from pipes; or having a room resplendent in every conceivable shade of brown, this might just be the hotel for you. The rooms are dated and basic. The breakfast is not great, and is not a good deal when purchased with the room, unless you want the buffet which I don't recommend. In fact the buffet option only saves you a dollar. I stay in a lot of IHG hotels, this is the worst Holiday Inn that I have stayed in. It's more like a Holiday Inn Express. In fact, several Holiday Inn Express that I have stayed in surpass this hotel. The only redeeming point is the location, its a short walk from everything you... Read more

Being an IHG member, I thought staying at a Holiday Inn would be better than a Holiday Inn Express. In this case that's not true. I booked with breakfast, turns out that gets you the buffet for $10 or one item from the a la carte. Well the buffet was the most lame buffet I have ever seen. Some eggs that were scrambled once, not good now. Limited selection of cereal. Fruit was good, but no yogurt. Basically don't pre-buy the breakfast, you won't want to eat it, you will go a la carte and pay more... Read more

The location of the hotel was fantastic, as it was just a short walk to the Falls themselves (the walk back up took a little longer, but there was a tram near the Horseshoe Falls that could take you up if you didn't want to walk). There were many positives to our stay including FREE parking! (This is a great plus, as parking rates are incredibly expensive!) We also enjoyed the restaurant at the hotel, as my daughter l... My friends and I decided to stay in Niagara Falls for my birthday weekend. We end up at the Holiday Inn because the distance to the falls is unbeatable and free parking as a bonus. First Impression at the front desk: we were greeted and welcomed by Mil, who proceeded to check us in quickly and efficiently and gave us a map of the area and highlighted some of the attractions. The room on the 6th floor was sparkling clean and spacious. Towels were plentiful and cleaning staff was excellent. We enjoyed our three night stay as did the other couple we came with.
