The location is excellent, walk to everything. 5th time there. Nice and quiet . Excellent customer service at front desk. The Buchanans Restaurant is always fantastic Good service- great food and fantastic chef. The room we stayed in was fine- better houskeeping would be an asset This is the second time that the room was not cleaned when we stayed here. We stayed for two nights this time and the 2nd day- the sinks, shower, toilet etc , counters were not touched. mugs were not replaced . Wou... Read more

This place is absolutely bustling with activity-- I have not stayed in many hotels where more patrons and staff are buzzing hither and yon. This creates a very lively vibe to the hotel. Amidst it all is a staff that is clearly accustomed to and well capable of dealing with such traffic. Their comportment put us at ease and helped us get acclimated instantly, without being overwhelmed by it all. They were happy and congenial. And helpful too-- they offered us an upgrade up a few floors from ... Read more

This is my 3rd time staying her and each time I was never disappointed. Sure sometimes there are rude customers but it doesn't stop me at all in staying here. The place is a very welcoming and very professional front desk. We were welcomed with a smile and easy check in. Got our room keys and went on. Be early when it comes to booking, we always booked early and we would receive the best view which is facing the falls. This time we were a bit late because it was a short notice, we ended with the... Read more

My standards were exceeded with this hotel. The lobby has a lodge-like Canadian feel. Customer service was pleasant. The room and grounds were immaculate. It's nice having a Starbucks in the lobby for morning coffee. It's a bit of a walk to the Falls (about 15 minutes down hill and then back up to return) but the lower price was well worth it to us since we enjoy walking. There are a lot of restaurants within walking distance. Plenty of parking at $15 per night. We were able to watch a lovely fir... Read more

Stayed here on a Thursday night through a Hotwire deal. It was a spectacular hotel. Looks like a lodge inside. Bed was very comfortable, and the room was very spacious. The cookies at check-in were awesome too! Has a Starbucks-esque coffee shop (for purchase) and a nice Aveda spa. Parking is $15 a night if you choose to park there, but there are other, cheaper options nearby. Great location that is walkable to everything!

It's a good 15 minute walk to the Falls. The room we had was generous in size, but overlooked a walled in roof. Couldn't see anything but the the other buildings that were as tall or taller than our room. Elevators took forever, but the stairs were not accessible to walk up only down. The restaurant for breakfast was a nice surprise - Good omelets, fresh fruit and bagels. Nice big desk for laptop work. Wifi was tempermental. The bathroom wasn't clean, and the pull out couch had sheets, but no pi... Read more

We just returned from a short getaway to the falls. Check in was smooth but upon entering our room and opening the curtains, we were greeted by an awful view. In room 315 the view is of a roof, ventilation fans and HVAC. For over $300 a night we expected at least a view of the city. When we called the front desk we were told there was nothing they could do. After being in the room for about an hour, the noise was unbearable and we went down to the front desk. We were rudely told once again told... Read more

I specifically called to ask advice in booking 3 rooms to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday. After consulting with the person with whom I spoke (sorry I didn't get her name), I ended up booking two fallsview queen rooms for my parents and my brother & family, and a riverview king suite for my partner and I to be the "hospitality suite". I stressed that our room was to be the place that 7 of us could gather. When we got to our room (915), the "suite" part was just inside the door - VERY smal... Read more

Just came back from a 2 night stay at the Hilton DoubleTree Resort (DT) and had a great stay. Review is laid out in 3 parts: Property, Room, Overall impression. Property: Firstly, DT is located just a short 10 min walk to the Fallsview Casino and all the various great eatery options in the surrounding area. Its a good 15 min walk across Fallsview Blvd then down Murray st to the Falls. It's a longer walk to the Clifton Hill attractions (about 20 min+) which makes me feel that this Hilton i... Read more

We stayed in a Riverview Jr. Presidential Suite with a king size bed. The room was huge; actually, it is two rooms, a front room with couch and a separate very large bedroom. We were on the corner of the 8th floor with a great view of the river (not the falls) and perfect spot to watch fireworks at night. If you are not dead set on having a view of the falls, this is a fantastic option to save a little $$ but still have a nice view. Lots of windows and the window closest to the bed has a ven... My boys and I actually walked from the states over to the DoubleTree to spend the night. It was a really nice hotel. Very clean as you would expect from a Doubletree. The boys enjoyed burning some energy at the pool. The warm cookies were good, as always. I will say not to expect you view of the falls to be a complete look down to the bottom of the falls. Discovered a DMDF tax on my bill and when I questioned it, the staff were very rude and arrogant stating that it is a mandatory tax. If you watch Marketplace, you'll see that this is a voluntary tax. Was unable to get any resolution to that issue. Wonderful staff who went over and above. The hotel is beautiful and perfect location where you can walk to the falls but are not in the craziness of downtown. I was thrilled I could crack my windows at night and hear the falls as well as seeing them. The room especially bathroom could have been cleaner, I would have notified the desk but it was very late and I just dealt with it. One towel was dirty and there was some hair and dirt on the bathroom floor. The shower was also tiny.

Stayed at this Double Tree again to give them another chance. Last time we stayed here in 2014 was mediocre. This time was not much better. This time check-in took some time to complete with one family ahead of us in line. The lobby and public areas are very well kept up, but the rooms have been neglected. My guess is over 10 years since our room had been updated outside of the TV. Not sure if it was dirty, but did not feel clean. The hotel is a good 15 minute walk to the falls and Clifton Hill. They charge $15 per day to park yourself in their parking lot.

The hotel isn't really that close to the falls, but a good, healthy walk. The rooms are well laid out, and the place is quite clean. Registration is quick and efficient. I've been pondering whether or not I should write about my slightly negative experience at DoubleTree Fallsview over the Canada Day holiday weekend or not, because it's understandable that the staff might've felt stressed/overwhelmed during peak season. However, that's not really a good excuse to treat customers the way I was treated, especially considering the obvious pattern that emerged. Niagara Falls definitely isn't known for it's luxurious accommodation (most of the options are seedy motels). The DoubleTree was an excellent price and a comfortable stay. The lobby area has a great lodge feel to it and the rooms are adequate. I did however, get the feeling when we were in our room that we were staying in more of a Hampton Inn than DoubleTree (I expected a less dated room and a more comfortable bed). This hotel is in a great location to walk to the casino and down to the Falls. The rooms are spacious. The only downsides are that the reception staff are really surly and I felt like I was interrupting something when I was checking in. The fridge in the room must have been old as it was really noisy. The staff was helpful, the pools and hot tubs were fabulous, and it was awesome having a Starbucks in the lobby. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was fantastic. The only mild drawback is that the hotel is a little farther out than most of the other hotels, so you'll really get a workout if you don't have a car.

Having this being my second stay at Doubletree, I was inspired to share my experiences with other Niagara travellers. Typically, I choose a hotel overlooking the falls. However, what with the high rates at this time of year and having had such a pleasant experience during my first stay, this inspired me to book Doubletree. And I was not disappointed! In fact, this will be my first choice hotel moving forward. The Doubletree check in provides prompt, friendly service. The hotel honoured all of my... Read more

The price of the hotel and location is sensible for a budget concious family travelling to visit the Niagara falls. It was nice to know that there was Asian restaurants nearby. Request for the 18th and 19th floor to have a distant view of the falls and get a photo of the fire works at night. Avoid rooms adjacent to the suites if you prefer some not to be disturb occassionally by people who woudl decide to party at late night. Careline can help remind such scenarios

As someone who stays in Hilton group hotels regularly ( every 2 weeks ) for business and pleasure I was disappointed by this experience to the point that I will not consider this hotel again for a break . It was booked last minute and as a HHonors member we were given a room on the 15th floor reserved for members. The room its self was fine but our neighbors in the next room were loud and kept my wife , 2 kids and I awake until after 2 am . I tried to call the front desk 3 times over a 45minut... Read more

The hotel was within walking distance to the falls, which was extremely convenient. It was easy to find and the staff were nice. We had some issues with breakfast where the staff double seated our table but were blaming me (and essentially yelling at me) for sitting at the wrong table. They later found out that it was one of their employees' fault. They apologized but the apology did not seem sincere. It was not a great start of my day on vacation.

We stayed in the Doubletree in Niagara Falls Canada in October 2016. We have stayed here a number of times. We like this hotel because of its great quality, personable and helpful staff and good food and service. We have food allergies and are very comfortable eating in the restaurant. The main allergy is wheat, gluten free diet works, and at breakfast inquired about gluten free bread - none but they did bring us gluten free muffins.

First time in the Falls area. We are HHigh Honor members and were offered an upgrade to a suite. 14th floor 2 room suite on a corner with fantastic views of the river (you can't see the falls at this level- but the view of the city was great anyway). We could see the fireworks over the falls at night. Very clean, housekeeping made up the room every day. Entire staff was helpful and friendly. The hotel is conventionally located 10/15 minutes from The Falls and nearby attractions. It is a clean and cosy hotel - we had a great size room. As Hilton Honors members we stayed on the 14th floor and had a lovely view of the river. We even managed to see the fireworks at night from our hotel room. The breakfast at the hotel restaurant was fine. We ate dinner on our second night and service was pretty slow. The food was ok - I think if we ventured out we could have had better.

Stayed here for two restful nights. Decor is very rich and inviting with lots of stone and wood. Staff is helpful and friendly. Beds are comfortable. Two indoor pools and hot tubs(one outside) were a nice place to relax. Location is very convenient to the falls, yet not in a noisy area. You could watch the sunrise over the river and see fireworks at night right from the room if you want to avoid huge crowds for the 10 minute show. Looking forward to staying here again.

Enjoyed our stay at the Double Tree Fallsview. It is located a bit outside of the main and crowded tourist areas but is a short walk to most places. Easy in and out access. Our room was a two room suite on a special floor for HHonors members. Great views. We also received breakfast vouchers for the restaurant. Hotel has an indoor pool and nice fitness facility. Came to Niagara Falls to celebrate my Birthday. Had been several years since we had been and really enjoyed our stay. Did some sight seeing, including both of the Casino's. Took an excursion to Niagara on the Lake to tour several wineries andenjoy lunch while there. Great time! Also had dinner at Solon Tower and then enjoyed a show at The Fallsview Casino. Managed to have drinks at the restaurant overlooking the Falls. All said....a very nice getaway!

Was looking for a reasonably priced Niagara Falls hotel for a reunion with a few friends. Chose Double Tree Fallsview because of location, price, rooms view the American Falls. Wasn't disappointed. Had rooms on the 17th floor with great view of the falls. Staff and service were excellent. Restaurant and coffee/cocktail area (think Rocky and Bullwinkle) were reasonable. No "resort fee" was a real plus, but $15.00/day CAD parking fee was a bit over the top. All in all, though, I'd definitely stay ... Read more

Stayed for a little weekend with our 7 month old. We called several times to make sure a crib would be in the room, it was not. The view was nice and of the river. There was ample parking for $15 per night. The room was fairly clean but the bed was extremely uncomfortable and the tub would make a weird squeaking sound constantly, probably should be fixed. Nice building with a view of the river from the higher floors. Our room had 2 large, comfortable queen beds, a good size flat screen TV, 2 chairs and plenty of floor space.
