My first business trip ever outside the UK and my travel anywhere outside Europe! W Montreal was fabulous, great customer service, modern clean room, and I had a great time. The area was nice even though it was a Financial District - plenty of restaurants, shops, places to visit - I just didn't have long enough!

We stayed here recently. I've been to Montreal a number of times but this is the first time I'd stayed at the W. I would not stay again, but this is mainly because this is not the type of hotel that I enjoy staying at. If you want a hotel to have a bachelor party at, or feel like you are on the strip in Vegas, this is the hotel for you. The rooms were fantastic. Clean, nice decor, good design, comfortable beds. The biggest issue I had with our room (and the hotel in general) was the noise. We... Read more

Hotel real run poorly. I have been a SPG member and have been to this hotel before. Something changed. Call downstairs for anything and you are lucky if anyone delivers anything is under a hour. Was told multiple times they did not have enough staff to service my needs. I had a suite and was up all night from people screaming on the patio. I gave it 2 stars vs 1 because they room keys did work ... Got to like the little thinks since you cant get good service or a good nights rest .

beautiful room. It was like a loft, floor to ceiling windows. We were in town for a visit to the american consulate for a final immigration interview. They left us snacks in our room as we were getting in late, and were so helpful in getting us where we needed to go for the prep for the interview, medical apt, and even helped helped us get a passport out of the car last minute. Fantastic service and room

I received an email introduction for a hotel concierge a week prior to my visit. I inquired where I might be able to buy distilled water nearby for my cpap. The concierge offered to to purchase it for me and have it waiting for me upon my arrival. I've never had such wonderful service from any hotel anywhere.

We stayed in the W Hotel for 1 night only as we travelled up from New York earlier than planned and our original hotel could not extend our room for 1 night. The W hotel couldn't be nicer, we arrived late at night, the club was in full swing (which is part of the hotel), the staff were very helpful and they could see we were very tired so they put us on a higher floor so the music wouldn't disturb us. The room was very nice and had everything we wanted. Breakfast in the morning was funky (it lik... Read more

It is a an edgy, young hotel. Service is great. It isn't for everyone. The bar music is loud. Don't expect the relaxing feeling that you would like to get when you walk in to the lobby late on a Friday night - it's a party spot. We were on the 3rd floor in a "marvelous room" - we didn't hear the noise but I was worried. The room itself was decent sized and well designed.

The hotel is located across the street from Square Victoria. Walking distance to great restaurants, old town etc. The hotel is very contemporary. Room are beautiful and large, spacious open concept feel. There is a club atmosphere on weekends. If you want quiet be sure to not get a room on atrium side of hotel. The EAT restaurant is amazing, great staff, food. Special acknowledgement to Elgin.

Location wise it is tough to beat the W, within walking distance of most major spots down-town Montreal. Was there on business this time and had exceptional service. The hotel is always clean and trendy. Was raining on my way out to a day of meetings and was handed an umbrella on my way out. They really pay attention to detail. The rooms are very nice and modern. I usually don't sleep well outside of my own bed, have to say that this was the best sleep I've had in a long time!

I am a frequent returning guest and from the outset, Carole at Guest Liasons was superb in connecting with me beforehand in terms of arrivals and needs. Danika at front desk was a delight to speak to and very courteous and so was Catherine as always!! The restaurant lunch menu was great along with the staff and the overall vibe of the hotel is a breath of fresh air! Look forward to returning very soon - well done and keep up the excellent work.

Bunch of us were here earlier this month. This is a low key W compare to some others I have been to. The thing that makes this place different then other Ws is the staff. Everyone in the staff is very well trained and highly personable. The location is really good as well. I would skip the food here. Try Holders (zagat rated) nearby.

This was truly mind blowing experience. "Fabulous penthouse room" was simply fabulous, front office, bell boys, restaurant team, housekeeping were all very friendly and helpful. The ambiance of the hotel was one of the best W that I have seen. Evenings at the bar was fun, lunch at the restaurant was delicious. Hotel was walking distance to key attractions.

The hotel is very well located. The staff are very nice. Room was comfortable and very clean but the furniture look a little bit cheap. Bathroom was nice but products (shampoo, shower gel, soap) are not really good quality products.

We were upgraded to a Wow suite and Wow is the perfect word for it. We really found all the staff so helpful, including Francoise, our friendly and funny maid. We live in a hotel and travel often, mostly with Starwood, so service is something we're accustomed to. Like most W hotels, this has great style and high design. Our suite felt like a cool bachelor pad. The view of the street from the upstairs shower was cool. The patio was a nice size and it was smoking hot in Montreal during our visi... Read more

I've stayed at Starwood properties many times but this was my first experience staying at a W. From the moment we walked in the front door and received a complimentary upgrade and complimentary breakfasts we knew we were in for a first rate stay. We were not all. The staff are very friendly and don't hesitate to take care of your every request. The room was awesome...very clean, and very comfortable. Nice hotel and the staff couldn't have been friendlier but the check in was not up to par for a hotel of this caliber. Went up for 3 nights for a bachelor party and got to the hotel around 2PM. 3 rooms including the rooftop suite (which was awesome) were not ready until after 5 when check in was supposed to be at 3. Like I said everyone there was nice and apologetic but after we got back from grabbing something to eat and the rooms still weren't ready we headed into the bar. They didn't offer to... Read more

My husband was here on business and I tagged along. Overall everything was great, they messed up our billing information. Rooms are VERY small with a view of a business high rise where they can see everything. There's NO lighting so good luck ironing or trying to do makeup. Restaurants and room service was great. Concierge was a huge help in finding a restaurant we were looking for. Walking distance to everything. Overall good time, just small and dim.

Hotel is a masterpiece. All the amenities of a mega with the intimacy of a boutique. Gorgeous, spotless room that is a designer's dream. Beautiful views, furniture and every detail thought out. Vibrant area; private subway stop; sexy bar that becomes a locals hotspot mini-club at night; friendly and helpful staff; every need anticipated.

We stayed at the W Montreal for 3 nights during Canada Day/4th of July weekend and enjoyed our time. We were in a fantastic suite and it was a great fit for the kind of relaxing weekend we were hoping to have. I stayed at the W Montreal for New Years Eve in the Fantastic Suite and it did not disappoint. The modern open concept unit was lovely and exactly what we were looking for. My friend and I traveled to Montreal for my birthday this past weekend. We had absolutely amazing experience at W Montreal! The hotel is great, but our stay wouldn't be as amazing if it wasn't for the staff, especially Mary (from Style) such a friendly and great person! Valentine was very helpful and accommodating, and of course CaroK, the insider, whose recommendations were right on point! They all made my birthday and our stay so special!!!

The hotel and the staff were absolutely lovely. The location was central...the old port was a 15 minute walk and Mount Royal was only a 20 minute walk or so to the base of it. Super central and super convenient. That said, the reason for my review was because of two individuals who made our trip excellent. The choice on the menu was almost only with eggs. Nothing really available lighter or for vegan. Service was good and it was a good place for a business meeting. Loved staying at the W Montreal for a quick business trip. The room design was really cool with a great view of the park just outside. Also, the waterfall shower head is a nice touch after a long day around the city. We loved eating at the restaurant for lunch -- get the light lobster salad before heading out for the day. Also, the clubby atmosphere at night is exciting. Enjoy!
