We stayed here for Osheaga weekend. The room was a pleasant surprise. Two tv's, large space overall. Next door was two coffee shops, restaurants and close to the metro. It was so central that we found it easy to get around. The room had a sectional sofa, small fridge and kitchen sink. The sofa had a lot of crumbs in it. Other than that everything was clean. We enjoyed it.

If you are looking for reasonably priced accommodations in the centre of Montreal, you have found it. Rooms are spacious (we had a double room which had two double beds). Because they are residence rooms during the academic year, there is plenty of drawer and closet space, and the small bar fridge was welcome. While it is not fancy, it has all the amenities you need and has a location that can't be beat.

Clean rooms, tiny bathroom, good wi-fi and nice big window with a beautiful sunset view from my room! I had no clue that la citadelle was McGill residence as well as a hotel until i arrived. Location is great, lots of places to visit in walking distance. Way over priced in my opinion but it was the best i could get during the summer downtown.

Excellent location for many attractions. Short walk to metro stop. Grocery store and drug store within half a block. Nice bedding and towels, also nice to have a Keurig and small refrigerator in the room.I called front desk and asked if they furnished hair dryers and was told no. Packed one and they were furnished. Not very good information, especially when you travel with carry-on luggage. Room service is not every day. Different atmosphere than a regular hotel. Nice clean and neat, I would sta... Read more

We just stayed here 2 nights. Front desk reception were very pleasant and helpful. Room is very spacious but plain. Small bar fridge and coffee maker. Great tv. Hairdryer and iron. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Room was pretty clean and acceptable. Small sitting lounge in lobby. Also a microwave available just off lobby. No food or other amenities on site. No parking on site but is available right next door underground at $20 per day. Also another lot right around corner. Location is ... Read more

The stay was great, the room was clean but our toilet didn't work for the majority of our stay and I found that the shower had very little pressure. Other than that, the room was great! There was no noise while trying to sleep. The location was near everything that I was in Montreal for.

It's one of the greatest hotels where I have stayed compared to the price. The staff is young and everybody very kind , friendly , fast and available. The room is EXCELLENT: big, with wonderful view, bright, clean, better than in the photo. I was there for work so I had to pass long time working in the room and it was spacious and comfortable. Last day I asked to stay in the room until 2 PM even if the check out was at 11 and they were so kind with me and allowed me to stay (only because there w... Read more

very clean, large with 2 nice beds. Great location and price since all hotels are very expensive for the race. Subway station close by. Eaton shopping very close and good restaurants near by. It is a University dorm that operates like a hotel in the summer month

Loved staying at la citadelle. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is someone at the reception 24hrs. They will hold your luggage after checkout until you're ready t go home. The rooms were clean and hotel-like, hard to tell it's student residence. It was quiet. The bathrooms were clean. Great find for the price and location. Located in the heart of the city and minutes away from the metro. I'd definitely stay there again.

My wife and I stayed at this "hotel" on a tour of Canada. The premises are in fact student lodgings, but 4 star, The room was spotless and very comfortable with everything you would need just as a proper hotel room. The only minus was there is no cafe or breakfast provision. We did however find a great bar/restaurant next door problem solved. Travellers should not mix these premises up with La Residence du Voyager also on Sherbrooke Street, which is a much inferior hotel.

The Citadelle hotel is pretty well located. Close to the Mc Gill University, a few minutes away from the city center and with an affordable parking next door (at the EVO hotel). Very large rooms, good wifi.

Very well situated right downtown. The room was very nice--clean and modern. However, the housekeepers didn't stock or restock the coffee maker so we weren't able to use it. Also, the parking was very expensive.

Really enjoyed our stay here. For the price you pay it was definitely worth it. Very central location, clean room and bath. Dylan at the Reception was nice and respectful. Would stay again. The rooms are small, but functional

Very impressed with this hotel. It offers all the essential amenities at a great price. It is also in walking distance to centre town Montreal and not very far from Le Vieux Port . The rooms are spacious.

The location of this hotel is hard to beat - just minutes away from downtown, Saint Laurent, and McGill. The room I stayed in was very nice, on the 16th floor. The hotel room was simple and had everything I wanted. I would stay here again, it was a very nice place.

We stayed here for 4 nights while on vacation. Firstly the location cannot be beat! Right on Sherbrooke street, only a few blocks from Saint-Laurent, Old Montreal, Old Port, and the mountain. We stayed in a single room, with a queen bed - the cheapest option at 129$ a night. To compare - the Hilton Garden Inn just beside La Citadelle was 339$ per night. The room we stayed in was spacious and clean, with a mini fridge, plasma screen TV, and a Keurig - exactly as pictured, exactly. The bed was com... Read more
