We stayed at the InterContinental Montreal for a conference this last week, then we stayed an extra day for a little vacation. The room we were given was extraordinary except for a couple of little hiccups. On the 24th floor, we could see the whole city of Montreal, and it was wonderful. The bed was very comfortable and the size was worth the extra price. The service was sometimes very fine-from the woman checking us in and the maid service, but the servers at the breakfast were really not good ... Read more

The concierge, Jameel, was far and away the most helpful aspect of our stay, making excellent recommendations for local eateries and attractions, as well as making our reservations; we were treated to a free dessert on the hotel's behalf at our first dinner. Aesthetically, the hotel is superb, lending itself well to a fairly relaxed atmosphere. On the downside, we found the beds to be somewhat small, though it's of note that we were sleeping two to a bed. Additionally, we were underwhelmed by th... Read more

Rooms are very small and too much filled up with furniture. One gets the impression that the best days are over. Breakfast was not a good experience. Quite unfriedly staff sending me away when I entered too early. Even at opening time of 6:30 the buffet was not ready... this is critical if business day starts early. Luckily there is a Starbucks close by.

This hotel offers all the amenities necessary for a short stay, well located, good restaurant, good room service. The first concierge was far more interested in talking on her phone than in helping me. The second one, the next morning, was far more helpful.Otherwise everyone I dealt with was pleasant and courteous.A god place for a short stay!

Like all Intercontinental has great people working there. Rooms good size, great ammenities and very comfortable beds. The first day the escalators were not working so had to use the only elevator going from street level to the first floor where the loby is, which was an inconvenient, but by the next day everything was in order. The hotel is situated in a plaza with several restaurants and fast food, but surprisingly were not open on Sunday. Just 5 minutes walking to Old Montreal.

I booked the Intercontinental based on their great reviews and I was not disappointed. We were warmly greeted upon entering the hotel by the valet attendants at front. After waiting a few moments, we were greeted by the receptionist and have a very quick and easy check-in process. The receptionist was very informative. The room itself was nicely decorated, and spacious (I had a corner room on the 22nd floor). The mattress was divine, the pillows could have been a bit better, but no complaint... Read more

We stayed here a few years ago after they had remodeled and it was a great stay for the money. I usually prefer smaller boutique hotels but most of the ones in old town are very expensive. This is a great location it is close to Gare Central and Victoria Station-I would say on the fringes of old town so that it is easy to visit old town but also other parts of the city from here. Great location, beautiful decor, classic (and classy) hotel. We stayed in connecting rooms at IC with our 2 teen-aged granddaughters and were totally satisfied with the experience. All of our special needs (hypoallergenic laundry) were handled flawlessly by the Hotel. All of the Hotel staff were friendly, professional and helpful. We will definitely stay at IC the next time we visit Montreal.

This was not the nicest hotel I've ever visited but it is very nice and I have only one minor complaint. First, the facilities are nice and clean, as was our room. Nothing was really exceptional but there's nothing to fault either. Second, the staff was likewise very helpful and pleasant except for one of the concierges, who was mildly arrogant and condescending. My initial impression of the hotel was not too good. However, once all the issues were resolved, I enjoyed my stay. I checked in to my room and the room had a very bad smell. I called the reception desk and the lady at the desk was arguing with me about that the hotel is full and that she could not offer me an equivalent room. We chose the Intercontinental as we had stayed in their excellent Madrid hotel again we were not disappointed. This hotel has all the usual refinements of a top class hotel, good rooms, good service, helpful staff and great amenities. You would be hard to find a hotel with a better location right on the edge of the old city and waterfront with a metro station on its doorstep and the main shopping area only a few blocks away

Good-sized room, very nicely appointed. Nice pool (indoor, but under glass), good location, nice lobby bar. Excellent Concierge, very helpful in a range of fronts (eg. When we arrived late and asked where we could get a pizza from, she no only knew an absolutely excellent place, but she jumped on the phone right away and ordered it for us). They organized an excellent babysitter for our kids too.

When I wake up, the first thing I need is a good cup of coffee - I don't want room service coffee or a trek down to a Starbucks even if it's in the lobby - I hate espresso machines - or no machines - in hotel rooms. This hotel had a well-stocked Keurig machine my whole stay. The hotel is clean, conveniently located, and has a friendly staff. It's also located in a development with shops and stores. I recommend it.

Thanks Intercontinental for making our short visit to Montreal great!

Beautiful hotel with a great location. Can walk to all the sites or take the metro right across the street from the hotel. The breakfast is wonderful and our room was beautiful. The Concierge is very helpful with maps about what sites to go see and how to get to them. We also did the Hop On Hop Off bus which we should have done the first day to get the layout of the city. Montreal is an incredibly old and beautiful city.

This hotel in Old Montreal is in an impressive old building. As part of a complex, entering and departing is not straightforward, but one can get used to it. Rooms are well appointed, and the club lounge at the lobby level is well kept too. Service is standard corporate for Montreal. which is to say the assumption is the client is anglophone not francophone. The large size of the hotel reduces charm to a minimum, especially if there is a convention group on site.

Stayed as part of a group leaving from Montreal and arrived a day early. Although we arrived at 1:20am, the front office was manned (although a bit confusing as not on the ground floor) and very helpful. Nice sized room and good view across the park. Very centrally located particularly to old town. Only issue we had was the bedding - the thick Donna made for a hot nights sleep.
