Hospitality is a priority at this wonderful boutique hotel in Old Montreal! My second experience and have to say...I recommend the St. PAUL to all my friends when they visit the area. Personality and charm from the entire hotel experience. It is the place to stay! Was upgraded to a beautiful Black suite which made my birthday weekend...over the top! Be sure to check out BAROCCO around the corner for dinner & Olive & Gourmando for breakfast! St. PAUL....Thank you, for your hospitality!

My husband and I had a suite (so not the regular rooms) at the hotel at the beginning of May. We paid 420$ for one night. This price is without any extras, with a 15% off promotion applied on it, but does include the 28$ a day parking (which is optional). We are both from Montreal, 400$ a night is quite steep for us, but we wanted to have a special night. The hotel is very nice looking, the personnel was attentive and nice. The suite was quite nice looking too, great views of the city. We had a ... Read more

We travelled to Montreal for a friend's 50th birthday weekend and the Hotel St. Paul was a mod base the perfect location for exploring Montreal's very charming old town and port area - very close to both and all of it's many restaurants and shops. Though there isn't a dedicated concierge (at least not that we noticed), the front desk is generally very helpful - even if they got stymied by a Saturday afternoon request to have a blazer pressed within 24 hours. Eventually they figured it out and ... Read more

When you first walk in it is a little empty and dark. Then you get in the elevator and it too is dark - black walls/ dimly lit. I was getting a little nervous. Elevator opens up and the halls are black, dimly lit. So dim you I can barely see. Yikes! Then I opened my room and all was well. Huge rooms! Really comfy bed. Separate dressing area and my fav a huge bathroom!!! Nice fluffy and thick white towels and bath robes. Very spacious counter top and lots of really nice toiletries. Room service w... Read more

We stayed in St Pauls for three nights during May. The rooms were very clean and spacious for the price. Bathroom was lovely, had a huge bath. Beds were also very comfortable. Staff were friendly and service was in general a very high standard. The room comes with a continental breakfast which normally I do not like. However I thought theirs was particularly excellent. The décor is what shall I say different but the hotel was excellent. Room came with free wifi which we appreciated.

While the room was clean, the hallway was dirty, and dark. I just took 20 minutes to come to the room. The breakfast staff was not notified that there were two guests per room even after we repeatedly checked with the reception.

I had a very pleasant stay in Hotel St Paul: it has a great decor, well designed & spacious rooms, an extremely helpful and kind staff, and all this at a great location. Breakfast apart, which was a bit limited and boring after a couple of days, it's a perfect place to stay in Montreal.

This hotel is located on the edge of old Montreal and only a couple blocks from the Metro. There are plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance as well as historic sights. The staff was very helpful all the way through the stay with them. The lobby, elevator and hallways are very dark which was really strange but the room was bright with big windows. I stay in Montreal several times a year and try each of the Hotels and the St. Paul is diffidently a must stay. The Signature floor and Suites are the way to go and the staff easy to work with for travel plans and the small things.

This is a very nice hotel in the lower part of the city. It is adjacent to another luxury hotel that you share some amenities with. The staff is all very friendly. It is right across the street from the Museum of civilization. The only drawback is getting up to the upper city.

Located in an imposing Beaux-Arts building in Montreal's Old Town, the Hotel St. Paul has had a very cool, minimalist makeover. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming from the fire-lit alabaster cube in the lobby to the ethereal muslin drapes in the room. It doesn't feel like a big city hotel. There's no spa, but the hotel offers a massage service and the gym is well-equipped, plus free wifi throughout the hotel, small pets are welcome.

Friendly attentive staff but weirdly dark and tired place. Maybe I'm not the proper target audience for this place but I found the dark back lit ( mood lighting ) in hall ways disturbing. Sadly it seemed more an effort to hide the very tired stained carpet than actual styling. Our "black suite" was spacious but again all the dark walls and light just made it feel cold.
