Nothing special about this place. Parking is underground and costs $27 per day regardless of the room you have. We needed a crib and it was brought to us quickly and at no extra charge. It's an average hotel for an average price and nothing more. Right in China Town if you are looking for that area.

The hotel's exterior looks really tired-- needs a good power washing to start with. However, the interior and rooms have are all really remodeled. Pool and hot tub were nice and really warm. It is a little strange that you enter the hotel on the first floor but check in on the second floor. So, we were there four days and only saw a staff member upon checkin. Wifi much faster then embassy suites up the road. No free breakfast. Comfy bedding and quiet. Would definitely return.

Despite the drab exterior and confusing entryway, this is a charming hotel. The lobby with its koi pond and marble walkway is a calm place to sit and rest a minute. Staff was helpful and friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. Hotel is very convenient to Metro and the Palais des Congres, and the Quartier Chinois has great lunch and dinner options. Only one thing marred my stay, and that was the large gap between the door and the floor, which let in light and noise from the hallway.... Read more

The hotel is in a great location. It??s only a ten minute walk from Old Montreal and the stunning Notre-Dame Basilica. The room was clean, modern looking and well sized. The bathroom is spacious and had a nice shower. We stayed on the ninth floor and had a balcony with a lovely view of the city. We stayed 7 nights and really enjoyed our stay in the hotel and in Montreal. We felt that there was room for improvement with the breakfast. The buffet food was a little disappointing. We also ate in ... Read more

Not being familiar with the city it was hard to tell what the best location was to stay. I'm glad we decided on the Holiday Inn. This is located in the Old Port section of the city a few streets from the water. It is also one block from Notre Dame Basilica. The subway is across the street and that connects you to all of the underground city. There are many nice places to eat about 2-3 blocks away. In the morning there is a Tim Horton's and Starbucks across the street as well. The hotel was moder... Read more

I went on a church group trip with over 100 of us and we were booked at this hotel, outside isn't much to look at ,but in the lobby area is really gorgeous with a pool filled with koi fish and a walkway over the pool, lovely indoor garden with seating area ,this is an open area that has a siting area with several large screen TV s and also a dining area with Chinese themes as this hotel is located in China town. Rooms where spacious with a small table and armchair with ottoman and queen size bed,... Read more

I stayed for two nights in this hotel. Excellent location across the street from the Metro station, at walking distance from Old Montreal and one Metro stop from Underground City. The only flaw, they should have like small place to sell some snacks or a least some coin machines. We arrive late a night a most place to eat around 10 pm.

The hotel has the feel of having been around for awhile. The décor is bit old and, because it is in the Chinatown area, with a Chinese theme. But don't let its appearance put you off. The service is excellent, the room was neat and clean, and the breakfast was yummy. I was even able to cooked my own waffle with maple syrup!

I am going out of my way only because this hotel goes above and beyond They are so deserving. With The FI in Montreal and hotels at a premium in Montreal I just booked two rooms for clients and was pleasantly surprised that because i have stayed there previously i was not taken advantage of,the average pricing for the F1 Weekend was being charged at $359.00 a night, I was charged 179..00 a night. The were so nice to accommodate. On a recent visit I was pleased to see the renovated underground... Read more

This hotel is ideally placed for China Town, old Montreal and the underground, which is almost directly opposite the front entrance. On a good day it is 20-25 mins from the airport but that can easily double due to traffic and ongoing roadworks. Very pleasant staff, well appointed rooms (an in-room safe rather than a safe deposit box in reception would be preferable) and the reception area is highly unusual, but enjoyable. The bar area is comfortable enough but we didn't use the in-house restau... Read more

It has been years since I have been here. And much has changed. And not all for the better. First of all. The air conditioning did not work. And it was very warm. Like uncomfortably warm. It was warm in the conference room and in the ballroom. Secondly, the hotel 'lost' most of the reservations for the out of town guests. This put a major damper on the occasion. They were not very helpful in getting alternate accommodations. Nor were they apologetic. The hotel room was fine. The view lef... Read more

I'm really glad the reviewer named Flyer011 got such a great rate for Formula 1 weekend. We, unfortunately, did NOT. We paid full price PLUS a premium because we booked months in advance. Lesson learned: wait until the last minute. Then you won't get ripped off like we did. We actually had a nice stay. The staff at reception was warm and welcoming. Our room was clean, and our bed was very comfortable. There were even pillows labeled "softer" and "firmer", which I thought was a nice touc... Read more

We chose this hotel for its convenience to the convention center and because we could access the hotel's breakfast buffet for a (reasonable) additional fee. We planned to remain for an additional 2 1/2 days following our conference. Our stay was excellent. The rooms have just been redone in the past year. A choice of 2 firm and 2 medium pillows are on each double bed. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was generous with fruit, chafing dishes of scrambled eggs, rotating meat... We were visiting Montreal for the F1 Grand Prix, and found the hotel's location to be extremely convenient to accessing the park, wandering around and eating in Chinatown, and visiting nearby sights. The subway is diagonal/across the street, and the stop is fairly central to other main ones for easy transfers, etc. The hotel was very clean and service was good. My partner and I stayed at the Holiday Inn right in the remaining part of Montreal's once much more vibrant China Town and across from the downtown Convention Centre. I loved the hotel's Asian ambiance. Its on-site Chinese restaurant is first class. All-round great hospitality experience.

When I booked this hotel, I was assured that the room I was booking had a view and in fact I paid extra for the view. Well, I arrived at the hotel after a long drive in from Kingston only to be greeted by front desk staff who was rude and obviously had race issues. I showed him my government I.D., he looked at it and then asked to see it again; then he looks at me and the photo on my I.D. and starts to question whether the photo is of me and what I do and where I work etc. I have never been cros... If you are visiting Montreal this is an amazing location. Not only was the hotel recently renovated. You can literally walk to old Montreal within 10 minutes. You can also walk to St. Catharines within 10 min for shopping. The staff at the hotel are so friendly. Now let's talk about the service. The IHG Rewards call centre made a mistake and cancelled a night. Annie Champagne (Front Office Manager) went above and beyond. She resolved the issue, had my night rebooked with my rewards. The outside of the hotel could use some updating, but the customer service made up for everything. The hotel staff went out of their way to make sure that our staff was comfortable and that we had everything thing we needed. This is a very decent mid priced hotel if you want to be close to the Old port but not pay Old Port prices. This hotel has been renovated and is quite clean and we'll maintained. One negative is no fridge in the room. An all around good place to sTay.

I have been coming regularly to this hotel about once a month over the last two years. The interiors and rooms have been completely renovated and rooms are spacious. Definitely to be improved are the restaurant and breakfast offerings. Price is fine with a Corporate rate, without it prices are not in lune with what you are getting. Close to Old Montreal and this is the real strong point.

Very nice inside, lobby has a large pond with walkways above where you can stroll and look at the large goldfish swimming about. Very clean. rooms were clean and nice. Stayed here during Jazz Fest (July 2016) and really enjoyed our stay. Location is fantastic, a few blocks to Metropolis and other venues. Right in the heart of Chinatown but still quiet. We stayed on the 7th floor and it was clean, quiet and very comfortable. Had a great night sleep. Breakfast buffet was really good, although you have to pay extra. Parking was also extra, but very convenient, so worth it for us. We would definitely stay here again.

This hotel had a very welcoming staff for check-in and check-out. The rooms had recently been redone and were good, the bathroom being the best part. The beds don't appear to have been replaced as the king beds have body prints on the left and right side, seemingly from many sleepers over time. Parking rates were not cheap but not unreasonable either. I would certainly stay here again but it is not exceptional.

We stayed here for 1 night with our two kids (ages 5 and 8). Parking is located under the hotel and is accessible from Rue St Urbain. It currently costs $28 per day and will be charged to your room (remember to bring your ticket with you to the check in counter). The lobby is very interesting with all of the Asian decor and the large pond with various fish (the kids loved that). Dark rooms with a perfume smell that made me nervous - good service at reception. At $272 per night plus $28 per day for parking, it didn't meet my expectations entirely. View from room was of roof top with lots of graffiti. Don't think I would stay here again if I could avoid it.
