Stayed for one night during December. The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our room was in the newer part of the building and we were quite comfortable. There is nothing overly remarkable about this hotel but as a traveler who prefers to stay in the downtown of a city, this was an affordable option for a quick stopover. Downtown hotels in Moncton can be hard to find for under $150/night and this was a welcome discovery.

I made the reservation for a Saturday night as were we're going to a work Christmas party and we didn't want to drive home after a few drinks as we live outside the city, and the hotel was very close to the venue. The young lady at the front desk was fine, not overly friendly and asked if we wanted to upgrade from the double bed. I opened my iPad with my confirmation and challenged her on the double bed, which she shrugged off saying, oh, yeah, queen bed. Then we were told breakfast was only ... Read more

We stayed at this property Sunday and Monday of this week. From the moment we came through the door the staff was professional and very friendly. The lady at the front desk gave us a couple of recommendations on dining choices in downtown Moncton which is a short walk from this well placed location. The room was well appointed and clean and there is a hot breakfast included with the nights stay. If you are looking for a place to stay in downtown Moncton I would definitely recommend the Rodd Monc... Read more

A perfect getaway and a prime location for shopping with great dining close by! Staff were friendly and helpful. Price was great. Beds comfortable and rooms very clean . Moncton is a beautiful city especially when decorated for the Christmas season and this hotel is a perfect spot to take some time to enjoy the wonderful restaurants, shopping and attractions within walking distance . We have stayed here several times and never been disappointed.

The hotel is an older facility that has had modern updates. I was on a business trip and wasn't looking for the amenities/extra facilities and didn't have an opportunity to take advantage of the breakfast. The accommodations were acceptable, clean and neat, good lighting and lovely decor. The hall ways were well lighted and wide. There are steps from one section of the hotel to another, so if you have difficulty managing stairs, tell them at the time you make reservations. The bathroom was cle... Read more

Good value, great staff, and a fabulous view of the "chocolate river" tidal bore. We stayed for three nights, over a weekend, and were briefly disturbed by noise on two of those nights--once from guests in the room next door, and once from people in the parking lot below our room. Breakfast area was clean, well maintained, and offered a good selection. Staff were friendly and competent.

My wife and I stayed here for one Monday night in October and had a great sleep on their comfortable mattresses. Maybe because we each had our own bed! The room was nice with a river view, refrigerator, and large TV to watch Monday night football. The breakfast was enough to find something to eat for anyone- I had an egg and ham slice on an english muffin, cereal, and coffee. I wish there would have been a banana or some other cut up fruit other than whole apples and oranges though.

We spent 2 nights here on our trip out east so that we could spend a whole day at Hopewell Rocks. This hotel is very convenient for that as it only about 35 minutes away. The location in town is also excellent as it is walking distance into town for many restaurants and also for a nice walk along the river and a chance to see the tidal bore. Like others, I agree the room and the bathroom are fairly small but didn't find it to be a problem. We were on the 4th floor in the newer hotel section and ... Read more
