old and in need of repairs--tap dripped all night in bathroom and by the rust in the sink it has been going on a long time--mattress is hard as a rock--pillows are worn out--towels are not good enough to use as rags---tv is an antique and too small---can see daylight around the door---in short do not stay here!!!

Fantastic budget price Firstly this hotel is extremely well cleaned, the rooms are spotless. Great location to amazing restaurants, highly recommend Luigi's across the highway and down a bit. Awesome steaks The owners of the hotel are very friendly and accommodating. We had booked a pet friendly room through a website and was explained to by the owners that the websites do not inform hotels of special requests. We were grateful that they were able to fit us in.

This hotel is near Canadian Tire, Valu Village and a discount liquidation store. The owner at the front desk likes to socialize and thinks he's a bit of a joker, but he's harmless. The continental breakfast was ok but the hotel provided a very small area for it. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Lots of competition with other hotels being right next door.

This hotel is not worth anywhere what we paid. Old interiors in rooms, tv's outdated. Breakfast option is not breakfast just some coffee and dried up pastry. Really needs sone work.

We arrived earlier than anticipated and although our room wasn't ready Sumit (on the desk) upgraded us so that we could check in. For $75 we really weren't expecting much but we were impressed with the initial impression of the room. There was a (smallish) double bed, a two seater couch, a desk-style swivel chair and plenty of drawer and hanging space. The bathroom was basic but had all the required amenities. Most importantly, everything looked clean and well maintained, if a bit dated. All of ... Read more

Staff were extremely friendly and professional. Bed and bathroom were both clean and bed was comfortable.. This is an old hotel that could use some updating, but anyone who stays has to realize that this is a 2 star and therefore not high end accommodation. Was good value for somewhere to sleep for the night and head back out on the road. Breakfast was fine.

The room I had very much enjoyed but my wife had not. I had called the review "feels like your buddies room" because the condition actually does feel that you're staying with a friend in substandard conditions. The air conditioner was working well but was very noisy. The bed was very firm. The room had that smell we are all familiar with! All things that you would expect when your friend does a favour and let's you crash at their place but not at a paid hotel. While I had no problems with it... Read more

The person working at the desk was so helpful to my husband when we had a problem with the truck but the rooms need a redo, the bathtub looked dirty and some mold around the peeling tub surround. There was this awful smell from the carpet and the air conditioner was so noisy it was hard to sleep.

This hotel was very basic and very plain. I stayed here with my Dragon boat team for the Lethbridge Dragon boat Festival. The hotel had very basic breakfast options. The room was very average but clean. The air-conditioner was very small and had to be continually run to keep an average temperature. I would recommend this hotel for anybody on a budget.

The manager is friendly and helpful. Housekeeping needs to be retrained. When we moved into the toilet had been used and not flushed, carpet was not properly vacuumed, blow dryer was filthy with dust and grease-- the cord was black not white. Towels were old and thin, basically worn out. But the bed was comfortable and pillows soft.

The room was old but clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. Internet service was good. Continental breakfast was acceptable. The interior deadbolt didn't work on the door, which would have made me feel more secure. Bed was a tad hard for my taste, but acceptable.

This property is tired. Needs "love". Our window curtain was ripped, the electric cord to the hairdryer hanging in the bathroom was filthy and door flip lock broken off. The interior needs paint.

I am travelling with my dog and Super 8 next door told us they messed us up with no pet friendly room upon my arrival at 9pm. We checked Howard Johnson and noticed they do have rooms left. We went there and everything is smooth and I am really pleased to finally get a room to stay with my dog. The room doesn't smell there are dogs around before and the bed & towels are clean. Breakfast.... is ok I guess. With the price and fast respond, I'm glad and happy to stay here Oh, the air conditioning i... Read more

1st room they tried to put us in was so smelly that we asked to be changed. 2nd room not as bad but still smelled. We were there for a family member's funeral. When we asked to add my daughter and 2 year old granddaughter they said that was fine but the price went up about $20. We didn't stay there for the 2nd night. We moved to a much nicer hotel which had a bereavement rate that was $20 less than the Howard Johnson. And no extra charge for my daughter and granddaughter.

Sign up on the Wyndham rewards website for the best rates. If you are an AMA or AAA member the price is even lower. Friendly front desk staff. He offered us a VIP attraction pass which gave us 3 free admissions to local attractions. It is located on Mayor Magrath Drive & is close to the Japanese Gardens. The rooms are older but very clean. Beds & pillows were comfortable. Large room which includes a table & 2 chairs, desk & chair, armoire, small fridge, microwave, coffee maker (with Wolfgang co... Read more

This property could use some TLC. our room smelled like there had been a fire in there. It looked worn and not clean. AC worked fine. Breakfast was ok. C'mon, what do you want for free? One of our towels was spattered with blood. Not stains, fresh blood. Another towel was dirty. I'd avoid this place. For the money, you can do better. It feels like Howard Johnsons has given up on this property.

The room was very nice, we had booked the suite as we had 4 adults, this room included a pull out sofa. The sofa bed had not been cleaned, went to the office and the clerk said he was sorry many times and gave us the adjoining room for the two nights free of charge. This was great. I would recommend staying here, very comfortable and clean. Friendly staff.

We booked two rooms. They were supposed to be non-smoking. One room stunk of obvious smoking. The bell clerk quickly gave us a new room. yay! The old Tube televisions whined and so we could not watch tv. Our toilet had a leak and a puddle on the floor. Serious need for updating the rooms. The hotel should cost $49 a night and not a penny more, yet we paid much much more. The service was good, the breakfast simple yet also good, the rooms, not so good. Not recommended.

The room was small and dated. Bathroom needed renos and paint. Price was good and that was the best part. No extra blankets. Towels were literally gray in color and edges frayed and tattered. Never seen any like these in this poor of condition before.
