My room as in an older section not the newer tower section but it was clean and efficient. The small pool and exercise room were located centrally and were a nice perk after a long day. No breakfast was included in our room package but they do have a restaurant on site. Plenty of parking and good access to local businesses. Staff was very helpful when the reservation was a little messed up and straightened everything away in short order.

My family and I stayed here for 5 nights over Easter weekend and it was a great stay. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. We started our stay in a traditional room, and because I had booked at a discounted rate I had expected this. Though these rooms were a little bit dated, our room was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The bedding in this room was new and the beds were comfortable. Also, the room had a fridge and microwave which was awesome for a family travelling wit... Read more

This hotel is in need of some serious updates. We were in the older section - it seems this substandard area is reserved for teams and if the price was reflective of the rooms, I would not be writing this review but at $144/night it was definitely way overpriced. Upon entry of our room it sounded as though the window was open, it definitely was open and upon further investigation we realized that it did not shut properly. This meant that we needed to drown out the sound of the highway by keep... Read more

We were Very happy with the room, facilities, and sevice we received. Right down to the personal note and treat received in our room welcoming us to the conference, to the staff, food, and amenities available. We were impressed and would stay again!

I stayed here for business. We always try to reserve a room in the tower because they are renovated. Stayed for a total of 4 nights and found the floor very quite except for the last morning we were there. We were across from a meeting room and the voices were a little loud, Beds were very comfy with lots of pillows to choose from. Breakfast was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Perhaps the tower rooms are better, but from what we saw this is a very tired hotel. Stayed for five nights last week for the National Volleyball Championships. The rooms our group had were very far from the check-in area. After the first couple of half mile walks to the room (not kidding) we decided to drive. Rooms were booked all at the same time and well in advance with a preset rate, but we had three different rates charged while we were there. This was fixed, but provided a bit of a hassle.... Disgusting mouldy smoky rooms masked with air freshener. The pull out couch was basically taken from a torture chamber. No fan in bathroom, paint chipping everywhere. Bugs in bathtub. Bugs in pool. Never enough pool towels. Continental breakfast was charged even though it was supposed to be included. $10 for yogurt is the going rate I guess. There was a music festival in town and youths took over the hotel, the halls and exterior were littered with beer bottles, the halls smelled like weed, they... Read more

I can't recall ever staying in worse accommodations. We arrived @ 3pm to a stack of dirty dishes in the hall (left from someone's breakfast). The 'covered' glassware in the bathroom had a dead spider in it. The extra cot came without a blanket (my son froze). My passenger window was smashed in the parking lot for $3 in change.....cost $250 to replace. Oh and I finally called front desk at 10pm to get the dirty plates from the hall that house keeping had forgot because the flies were starting ... Read more

i was super impressed with the room I stayed in (deluxe king, on the 4th floor). the décor was freshly updated and there were a lot of little touches that showed the designer had put a lot of thought into how travelers use a room. examples of this include: heated bathroom floor, ambiance light in the bathroom, cellphone charger already provided next to the bed, and easily accessible ironing board and iron. i liked especially that the floor is not carpeted. but instead has a very attractive wo... 1st most of the staff are pleasant and friendly. We were in totally shock to see the room we were assigned after seeing the lobby, breakfast area and indoor pool. There is a new "tower" at the front but the rear of the building is old & smelly for the amount of money they want per room. No Fridge like it stated, bathrooms are in horrible shape !!! Now the bed, pillows and linen were very comfortable and clean but TV didn't work most of the time ... power went out and emergency generator tak... Read more

The spacious modern rooms with large functional bathrooms are better than average. Very comfortable beds, ample room amenities, and quiet AC make this a great choice for short or long stays. Plenty of shopping and restaurant choices in the vicinity. Service is great and it is obvious they are committed to ensuring your stay is a pleasant one.

Super place. We didn't expect to stay at this hotel but were sent there from another establishment. The woman on the desk was very friendly and efficient. There was a small fridge in our room and the room was quiet, clean and neat. We arrived late and did not use any of the facilities. Don't think we've stayed at a Holiday Inn in over 20 years. We were very impressed.

The rooms in the old section of the hotel where we were put are pretty bad. Warning - there are two sections to this hotel, the tower building section (which seems to be newer and nicer) and the short two storey old part (which is old and in pretty bad shape). Make sure you ask which section they're putting you in, because when I called to reserve no one told me about this and I was very disappointed that I wasn't warned. The older two storey section where we were housed is quite a walk from th... Read more

The Hotel is a tale of two City's.....the New section which is very nice and the old "pods" which are at the end of their economic life , but still generating income. I used Hotwire to book my stay and ended up paying a 30% premium over the basic everyday hotel rate. I did call Hotwire and explained this and they chose to hide behide " our standard rate" agreement with Holiday Inn. Lesson learned, I believe we use Hotwire to actually save money and not spend more....never again. No elevator se... Read more

Family is important to missed. My siblings and I had recent visit to Waterloo to attend my cousins son baptismal -and we stayed in this amazing hotel. I even got free coffee at the bar. Exceptionally nice staff, friendly and have pride about their workplace. I recommend the pool and the hot tub early in the morning. It is a fun family affair-kids love to go back.

Stayed at this hotel for Moparfest car show. Hotel room was clean and comfortable. Indoor and outdoor pools were nice and areas clean / stocked of towels. We enjoyed a breakfast which came with our room and service was pleasant. However....when I checked out of my room I was asked if I wanted to keep it on my charge card. Well as I was coming back to the USA it was a chance for me to spend my Canadian money. I told the clerk that I was going to pay cash. When I said this she told me they had NO ... Read more

My boyfriend and I stayed here on August 19th and August 20th 2016 as we were attending a wedding. Because of an event in town they jacked up the prices of their rooms. Two rooms were booked for the weekend, one for us and one for my sister and brother in law. There was a mix up in the reservation and we ended up with only one room for the weekend. The room appeared to be clean but it was a far cry from what we had expected. The wall near the patio door had peeling wallpaper and crumbling d... Read more

We stayed here over Labour Day weekend (great weather forecast) because of it's outdoor pool. The hotel is very average but the pool was the feature that appealed to us. Well Saturday there was a huge kids party at the pool and no available chairs. We didn't want to be party poopers so didn't complain but didn't get to use the pool. Sunday we were excited to get to the pool after touring the area. When we got back to the hotel there was a big party going on with a DJ, poolside games (which appar... Read more

We stayed one night here to visit some friends. I booked directly with the hotel a week prior to arrival. On arrival, the girl at the front desk said that we should be grateful to get a room with them since they were fully booked. I didn't understand where that comment came from since I booked the room guaranteeing the charge on my credit card. I guess if you pay for a room in advance, you may not get a room here. wonderful reception staff and such a clean place to stay. The redone rooms have nice flooring and comfortable beds. The housekeeping staff brought up a crib for my grand daughter and an extra blanket for her. The salt water pool was wonderfully cool and the hot tub a perfect temperature. When I was checking in the welcomed me as an IHG member, clearly my membership info came up on screen and they were aware. Made no difference that I am a repeat customer, The hotel is not entirely renovated despite misrepresentations online when you are purchasing. Still here..checking out if the Tower tomorrow but cannot leave before I comment on the incredibly amazing staff and accommodations. I have been here for a month because of delayed construction on my new home. My room is impeccably clean which is very important to me. This was booked through my company for a meeting, but i had stayed there before. Hotel meeting room was good, food for lunch was great. Bar in hotel was a very good to our group, they usually close at a certain time but stayed open for 2 groups of people which was very kind. The hot tub was warm, but no jets worked at all. that was kind of a let down. I was hoping to relax on my off time.
