We were overjoyed with our experience here. We were given a complimentary upgrade for the two nights that we booked over may long. We ended up extending our stay and were once again given the complimentary upgrade. The restaurant serves amazing food, and the lake front patio is fantastic! There were parties going on all around us and we barely heard any of it! The bed was so comfortable! I really don't have anything negative to say except there is only one elevator...but really, it didn't impact... Read more

Went to Kelowna for a dance convention. Before we traveled, I asked around as to a nice place to stay as there were no hotels available where the convention was being held, and was told that for families, this is the place to go. Check In/Check Out - Very easy, very painless. At Check In, the desk staff took time to provide a layout of the property and answer any questions I had. Room - No complaints here. Stayed in a 1 bedroom suite and even though we are a family of 5, we never felt cramp... Read more

This is a beautiful mid-sized hotel with an unbeatable lakeside location. Lots of amenities including several pools hot tubs. I really liked the outdoor and indoor dining areas. My lakeview room was outstanding although the wait for the elevator was frequently long and it makes a scary noise going from the 3rd to 4th floor. There was also 3 different taxes on my bill which I felt was excessive.

If you don't care about good service or good quality then this is the place for you. This hotel property is beautifully situated on the lake but unfortunately they do not follow through on their service or quality of food. The hotel staff does not care about their customers; they are only there for the pay cheque and not for the love of their job. 90% of the staff (mainly the women) had major attitude. I tried to pre-order room service for breakfast the next morning but I was told that they don... Read more

Stayed here for business - close enough to downtown, but far enough away to be quiet in the evenings. The grounds were nice, right on the water with a boardwalk in front to connect you to the beach and the El Dorado. The room was very spacious; however, the bathroom was a little space and cramped. Will likely stay here again. Though there were some disappointing dealings with the hotel - they did not advise they were placing a hold on my credit card (which is normal for a deposit to be held), b... Read more

For our anniversary we treated ourselves to a lakeside view suite in this beautiful resort. From our many windows or the balcony we enjoyed a picturesque view of the lake , bridge, boats, and beaches. We enjoyed the resort's waterfront boardwalk, landscaped grounds, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, hot tubs, health centre, and waterfront patio for eating. The r... Read more

This is simply our home away from home. I have stayed here twice already and I have always felt at home. It is clean and comfortable and it feels very homey. Waking up to the lake front is a bonus. The kids love staying here as well because they don't feel they are cooped up in a small room. I will definitely be back here again.

I recently attended a work related meeting at Manteo. As part of the meeting we had a private buffet dinner. I attend these types of events often and was simply blown away with the high quality and variety of wonderful, tasty food and it's fabulous presentation. There was not a rubber chicken in sight! I would highly recommend this resort for an event around a meal...if they are consistent you will not be disappointed!

Overall a great place to stay. I never had any issues with the state of the resort. Even with weddings and conferences going on right below our room we had no issue. A gorgeous view out our balcony. I have no concerns with staying here again or recommending. My back struggled with the hard mattress but for me this seems to happen at every hotel.

Our soccer team traveled to Kelowna in April. Eighteen teenage girls can be a challenge at a hotel (or at any other time really) and the Manteo staff were exceptionally patient and accommodating. The rooms were a good size, the restaurant a good quality, and the rates were got as a team were amazing. Go there.

Nice hotel, staff wasn't helpful. We were put in a wheel chair accessible room despite not booking one. It only had one bed and was significantly smaller then most other rooms. Especially frustrating when attempting early check in for a wedding in the hotel and we were told because we had booked that room, it wouldn't be available until later.

Stayed 2 nights here. Room was nice with balcony. Outdoor pool and hot tub was good. Only issue was the elevator. This is kind of a large hotel with only the one elevator and it is quite slow. Nice little boardwalk in front of hotel. Like the Smack Dab restaurant in the hotel. They have a breakfast buffet for $10 for hotel guests, which was really good. They are not forthcoming with information regarding their party bookings. Ask the question so they don't put in a room right in the middle of the party. Also if you pay with interact, you are penalized by having to put in our case a $200 deposit, prepay our room and not aloud to charge anything to the room. If we had paid with a credit card we would of had to put $150 deposit pay on check out and charge what ever we wanted to the room. Not a very trusting organization.

It would have been better planning to put any racers (this hotel was promoted by the race) in the other wing of the hotel rather that directly above such a loud event.

Overpriced, but the staff are lovely and smack dab is great. The steak was amazing and they had great local taps that we hadn't seen in the Vancouver area. I say it's overpriced because we had a "Mountain View" room which consisted of no mountain or view... Other than the next door neighbours' yards and muddy creek behind the hotel. Would recommend saving yourself a significant amount of money and staying elsewhere and just enjoying the restaurant. I repeat though that staff are all great!

This resort is fabulously located in the Mission area of south Kelowna, right next to the Eldorado. There is a lovely boardwalk along the water connecting the two resorts. However, the developer obviously scrimped on the quality of the construction. There is only one very slow elevator servicing the main hotel building which, during the summer when the resort is catering to weddings and conventions, makes for long waits. The rooms had amazing views of the lake and the staff was really nice. The food and wine at the wedding was excellent and the wedding planner answered all our questions promptly. Dont let the phoyos fool you, the hotel is located off a busy street.. doesnt feel like a resort. Checked in for two nights after about a 12 hour commute. The front desk woman was super unenthusiastic, didn't explain anything about the hotel and seemed bothered we were checking in. Our room was OK. Located with a view of the parking lot (what is described as a mountain view...). Our room was directly above the loading trucks so each morning it was less than relaxing. There are 2 pools at the resort, one more for families and then a quieter pool that you can see the lake from; service at the smaller pool wa... Read more

I have stayed at the Manteo resort before which made it easy to attend the resort again. Unfortunately we were disappointed with the cleanliness (ie. worn out carpet etc...) which was challenging with young children. The room was the only disappointing part of the resort as the service was great and food was excellent.

My husband and I stayed at Manteo for one night on an anniversary trip weekend. We loved the location and waterfront views at the hotel; it was lovely being right on the water. I found the staff to be very helpful and friendly, and we were able to walk about a kilometer down the road for dinner and to a drugstore/grocery store. The hotel is also an easy (<5 minute) walk to a couple of really nice beaches. We got an excellent rate for our room, less than $200/night for a partial waterfront ... Read more

The view of the lake from the waterside rooms is spectacular. Pay the extra money for the lakeside rooms. As you sit on your balcony watching the sunset over the lake, you will be glad you did. Service is friendly and very professional. We didn't stay long, but could tell that there are numerous things to do on-site at the resort. Indoor and outdoor pools, putting greens, gym, marina, and small beach. The boardwalk along the water is very nice, especially in the evening as it is all lit up. The ... Read more

We were unable to come to Kelowna at the time we had booked for and the hotel agreed to give us a credit for the 296.00 as they could not refund as it was a promo and non refundable. The food and service at the onsite restaurant (SmackDAB) is among the best I've experienced. The fitness centre is above-average for a hotel/resort.
