The room was clean ...but the bed was too soft....also being told that we could not access any extra towels due to them going missing was rediculous...the contenential breakfast was a joke as you had to cook some of yourself...also the lack of offering a small coffee pot in the rooms was disappointing...and the fact that we had to intermittently play plumber due to the toilet not flushing properly and there was no overnight on sight employees to contact about it....

I reserved for one night and finally stayed more than one week. The room is clean with a good bed, the breakfast is really great as well as the staff is very professional. Internet speed is correct and when once I had a small connexion problem, the manager corrected it (restarted the router) during 10 minutes.

The price I found quoted on line was certainly reasonable and the hotel was close to the airport, my destination the following morning. The manager was attentive, friendly and capable. The room was not fancy but it was clean, modern and in excellent condition. The only negative was that, being right on Hwy 97, it was a little noisy at night.

The room was clean and spacious, the manager polite and helpful. Recently renovated. Good access to wifi which worked well in the room I rented near the back of the hotel. The only tricky part is getting into the parking lot when coming from the Kelowna International airport, which requires making a U-turn a block past the hotel. There is a breakfast room with waffles and standard continental offerings.

HoJo Kelowna is a great place to stay... clean, nice people, adequate breakfast and on the highway 97, so you can't miss it... just east of Hightway 33. Have stayed there before, and will stay there again. Make sure you dial directly to the HoJo Kelowna!

There is nothing outside , even a small play ground for kids, the managing was terrible , there were running by a family !!!!!????? Costumer service is very bad , bad smell come out in the room ,don't consider even smal breakfast ,is just like cheating with a hot area. I never back to this place.

My family and I were just looking for a half-decent property to rest our heads for a long-weekend. We were pleasantly surprised to find a clean, quiet property for a reasonable price even though we booked last minute. It 's pretty non-descript from the outside, but it looked like our bathroom had been redone recently. The hotel was close to everything we wanted to be near, including great shopping and the lake.

I had to travel to Kelowna for my sonā??s flag football tournament and by the time we decided to go every hotel was booked for the weekend with the exception of the Howard Johnson. We felt we were lucky to finally found a room but by the time we checked in we realised why this place was the only one that had accommodations on the city. This hotel has been around for probably 40 years and the property shows that itā??s completely run down. Our room was filthy with hair on the tub and the sink. Th... Read more

The hotel is out dated yucky carpet & right on the highway 97. at the time we were there major road construction on the 97. Dave the manager made sure to put us in the rear to make sure we were not bothered by the noise. The breakfast is coffee and bread products. :(. The road crew ruptured a gas main in the middle of the night while we were there and we had to be evacuated. Dave went above and beyond to make sure everyone was looked after during this time. Great job Dave!

When first pulling up to this hotel, I wasn't expecting much since the outside doesn't look all that great. Check in was no problem but I didn't realize they didn't have an elevator as someone with us is in a wheelchair, -but we were helped by the front desk and after shuffling some things around he got us a ground floor room. Considering the were completely booked up this was much appreciated. First impression of entering the room was that was way nicer than what I expected. Everything was ... Read more

Construction on road made access very inconveniant. When we checked in temp was 34 degrees outside, air conditioner was turned off impossible to sleep first of two nights as room did NOT cool down. Hotel very old, shabby. Breakfast not worth attending Front desk staff excellent though and went out of his way to help us with lost objects in room. He gets A+

We stayed here because there were no other places available for the size of our group. The hallways were way too hot. They stunk like garbage. The rooms were not cleaned very good at all. There was still hair in the bathtub. On the toilet. And on the Floor. There was also old earplugs and hairclips beside the bed.

Thankfully my bed sheets were clean but unfortunately I found the this property old, rundown, very well used and grimy around door knobs. I kept my shoes on after one look at the carpet, the air conditioning filters were very dirty and there were many lightbulbs missing or burnt out in my room alone. The continental breakfast did not offer any yogurt, hard boiled eggs, any fruit other than bananas and we were watched like a hawk when using this breakfast room. Security into our rooms was susp... Checked into this hotel within a hour we found blood stains on the bed, one giant piss stain and a bunch of white disgusting stains you could probably guess what those were. Wouldn't be surprised if it was crawling with bed bugs. So then I went to check out and I saw another couple leaving saying there room smelled like raw sewage. We both were showed another room that were just as disgusting. Then I was assured by the front desk lady that I wouldn't be charged and yet they did anyways and they... Read more

I mistook Howard Johnson to be a reputable hotel chain on par with the many hotel chains out there to choose from. NOT SO! NOT HERE! At 2639 Hwy 97, Kelowna, what you get are unwashed bedsheets complete with hair and crumbly bits throughout the sheets as well as the entire room. You get a bedside lamp with no light bulb. You get unwashed counter surfaces with sticky residue. You get a half used open container of shampoo. I will never book another Howard Johnson again.

The door frame to our room was broken. The door had obviously been kicked in at some point and not repaired. The striker plate was replaced but it was barely held in place by the two screws. The unit was clean but was very run down and had a somewhat unpleasant odor to it. I would definitely not stay here again. This is what I might expect from a 50$ a night place.

The staff was extremely rude! The room door was pieced together. It obviously was kicked in , probly more than once by the fixes. The air conditioner was clogged. I have never stayed in a place so bad. This will be my one and only stay at a Howard Johnson's hotel. I can only hope the ones in the united states are better but not willing to find out.

check in was quick but surprised that the 2nd floor rooms were accessed by stairs, no elevator. The only real issue was that while we were told there would be someone in the office all night to let him in the locked stairway, when my friend came back at 130 in morning the office was closed so he had to phone me to let him in building.

There was a road construction in front of the hotel when we were there but getting in and out from the hotel to the road was not an issue, other then the dust. Our first impression of the hotel was that it is more like a double storey motel. We checked in late in the afternoon so it was pretty quick as there were no other guests around. We had a King size bed in an average size room, clean bathroom however the sink was on outside of the bathroom. It has a Microwave and an empty fridge, it came ... Read more

The HoJo in Kelowna was a hot mess-literally! Although the air conditioner worked, the controls were broken so it barely functioned. When we showed up, the sink had not been cleaned, the pillowcases had stains on them, and lamps in the room were missing bulbs! And to top it all off, the mattress felt more like a box spring so our sweaty sleep was uncomfortable too.

It is a clean and a decent hotel. The price is not that really expensive. We enjoy the breakfast and was able to sleep well. The hotel receptionist the guy, sorry forget his name was very hardworking, smiling a lot, helping us if we need assistance in the breakfast room and accommodating. We do not hesitate to recommend this hotel to my relatives and friends just in case they will come to Kelowna.

Breakfast was a joke. The poor guy behind the counter running into the breakfast room to clean the floor and re-fill the food stuffs was embarrassing. The 'cut out' for the air conditioner was a bad sign upon check in. The raging party all night that stretched from the room to my left to the room on my right (same group)...I phoned the desk for help to at least quiet the group down ..a little ..I don't mind them having a good time ...its just that they were running from room to room. Stayed at Howard Johnson in Kelowna recently and was reasonable. Hotel is a little older and dated, yet clean and comfortable. Our room's bathroom had recently been renovated. Showers were hot, bed comfortable, air conditioning worked. The hotel is quite a ways from the water, too far to walk. No fitness center. The breakfast was decent, in fact on day 2 of our visit a young lady was making waffles for us (thank you). The room for breakfast is small, seating for 12, so getting a seat can ... Read more

This is an older place, and is in need of some updating, and paint. However, it was clean, and bed was comfortable. One of the lower priced places in Kelowna, so can't expect it to be a 5 star. Breakfast was a limited continental breakfast, but fresh waffles were good. Owner is very pleasant, and willing to help out in any way.

Have stayed at other Howard Johnson hotels but this one is certainly not representative. We booked online for 3 nights. When we arrived very tired from the long drive too tired to start looking for another room decided to tough it out. As some of the other reviewers say you get what you pay for. In this case not very much. Never again at this hotel.

The facility was in poor repair and advertised breakfast but it was not to be served until 7.30 which is to late for people traveling. That's the first time we have ever encountered that. The facility even looks poor from the road and you would likely not stop if if you did not have a reservation.

This hotel is right on the highway. I asked for a room on the back and they stated they are more expensive and for more people. So don't stay here if your a couple wanting to relax! we could hear the person in the other room sneeze! It was terrible and I couldn't cancel it waste of money.
