Our stay with Double Tree by Hilton Kamloops was not satisfactory. Check-in staff was not offering cookies. Hotel price was not consistent among different staff. One offered us the breakfast buffet voucher if we would stay two nights. Another staff just gave us two breakfast buffet vouchers. At the first breakfast buffet, juice for kids were not charged by staff but at the second breakfast buffet, juice for kids were charged by different staff.

Another thumbs up for Hilton group. Room was spacious, clean with sufficient tea, coffee facilities. Bed was really really comfortable. They had lined up a cookie stand to greet the group so it was great for us to grab a couple for us to snack on before ourbig breakfast onboard the Rocky Mountaineer. Wifi was great. Room amenities was good. They had also set up a coffee stand for our send off in the early morning. It was only an overnight stop with Rocky Mountaineer so it was a pleasant sta... Read more

I found the staff at the Double tree to be very Courteous and Friendly. The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable. Although I have stayed here a number of times this is the first time I have ever experienced any kind of poor service. The food servers were helpful but the kitchen service was extremely slow. At supper I had to wait 40 minutes for my entrée which wouldn't be so bad if they hadn't forgotten my appetizer. When my supper did arrive it was cold. At breakfast bacon and eggs ... Read more

Driving past those highway exit properties (most looking beat down), I was very pleased with the choice of driving into town. (The extra 5 minutes was well worth it.) This is a well-maintained Hilton property. The rooms were a bit small (compared to Doubletree properties I've stayed at in the US). However, the room was clean and well-appointed. The $5 breakfast buffet was terrific. The property is two blocks from the down-town center which has a number of dinner and drink options.

A no nonsense, modern hotel located close to downtown. We reached late in the evening. Their bar and restaurant close by 9 pm. So we had to walk a couple of blocks down to the pubs and restaurants, which were very lively indeed. Nice modern clean rooms and bathrooms. Average breakfast, Could be made better. Efficient check in. Parking is a little away from the hotel. We stayed one night, driving from Banff to Vancouver.

We stayed here as part of the Rocky Mountaineer train tour. The hotel skillfully handled the mass invasion of hundreds of guest with courtesy, patience and cheerfullness. This hotel was very clean and comfortable in line with other Hilton properties. The neighbourhood is the one downside as downtown is not the nicest part of Kamloops. It would have been a fantastic stay except there was a group of people staying next to me on the 5th floor, over the July long weekend, that had about 8 kids between the 3 rooms they occupied. We were booked into this hotel by the Rocky Mountaineer. It was quite adequate for our needs for the night. We walked down the street for dinner. We had two spacious beds and lots of space. The views were lovely from our room as well.

This hotel is situated downtown so easy to walk to great restaurants. Our room had very minimal road noise, which meant we had a great sleep. Staff was helpful with directions. I was attending a trail run event and will definitely stay here again.

I stayed here on my way from Ontario and before I checked in I picked my room and ordered slippers and a bathrobe on the HHonours App, very handy app. The check in staff offered me a cookie (one for me and one for the dog) it was warm and delicious! The room was very new and had a large comfy bed and lots of coffee and tea by the mini fridge. Breakfast was included and parking and wifi were free. Kamloops was kind of boring but we had a nice walk around downtown.

Stayed here one night and breakfast was satisfactory. We hit the road and had driven about 100 miles when my husband realized he'd left his jackets in the closet in the room. I called right away. The front desk person called back within 30 minutes and said they had the jackets at the desk. We were not heading back that way so they shipped the jackets back to the states for us.

This was a tough review to write as we didn't actually stay at the hotel. My husband phoned ahead to make a reservation for handicapped room just to "make sure". Although, room was identified as accessible, there were no grab bars by the toilet nor could he get his wheelchair close enough to the sink to reach the faucets or wash his hands. He couldn't even get his wheelchair up beside the bed. The only accessible part was a roll in shower! What the team did about the problem was where they excel... Read more

The DoubleTree in Kamloops is a great place to stay. It is very central; you can walk to restaurants in the downtown core but the restaurant in the hotel is also worth checking out. Great staff and great amenities. Definitely worth staying here.

With work I am often required to be in Kamloops. My first choice for accommodations is the Double Tree. The staff is great, the property is updated and clean and it has all the amenities I need. It makes being away from home enjoyable.

We had a lovely stay at Double Tree. The room was very comfortable and we had a beautiful fruit and cheese platter in our room for our anniversary from Citrus. It was a lovely surprise. The hotel is in a good location and not noisy.

Check in was quick and easy with complimentary warm chocolate chip cookie! The room was large and comfortable. Although full breakfast was included, the staff were absent for most of the breakfast and were slow to fill dishes that were almost empty. However, it was a large breakfast and the price was right. Would definitely stay at this hotel next time.

Stayed here while our son was playing in a hockey tournament. The hotel staff was so friendly, welcoming and helpful. Don't always get that when you come with a group of teenagers. The rooms are clean, beds are super comfy, wifi was great, breakfast was delicious. Will be staying here again for another tournament. Highly recommend this hotel for your team trip to Kamloops

I recently had an overnight stay at the Kamloops Hilton. We were part of the Rocky Mountaineer group so every morning started very early. BEN was so pleasant and kind on that very early morning he made our morning. The rooms were clean, efficient , and updated. The front staff also was helpful with a late night pizza delivery. #benrocks

Great place to stay and an excellent choice when in Kamloops. The blockout blinds are excellent...so good infact that i overslept! Only small niggle would be that there needs to be a seal installed between the wall and glass shower scfeen, as the gap (at the shower head side of the cubicle allows water to exit the cubcle, right onto the toilet paper holder and floor. Excellent service from the lovely lady at breakfast (sorry i forgot your name!)

Luxurious bedroom with stunning views. The bed was extremely comfortable and the only downside was it took us a while to work out how to switch the lamps on! All the staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth staying at this hotel although it was a few blocks from the town centre.

Comfortable, secure, and clean. Modern finishes. Front desk and bar staff unenthusiastic but efficient. Food overly simple and over priced. Posted rates ($399/night) would be too much but got a deal online so it was worthwhile.

Clean, quiet, comfortable! Rooms are modern, clean, and bright (natural light). I appreciate the small fridge in each room and the comfortable beds. Breakfast buffet has extensive selection and dining area is spacious. Front desk staff are very friendly, professional, and helpful. Fresh, warm cookie handed to me upon check-in is always a nice treat. Lobby, lounge, hallways are clean and welcoming. Parking pass provided for ample parking space outside hotel. Highly recommended.

After arriving to Kamloops 8 hours late following our train derailing on the way from Vancouver (another story entirely), we arrived tired and hungry to this hotel at 1am. To our pleasant surprise, they not only had prechecked us all in and handed us keys at the door, they had prepared "meals to go" for us to each carry to our rooms. Well done! Arriving late after an ill-fated Rocky Mountaineer derailment, Double Tree handled late arriving coaches, tired people with a drink on arrival and room keys at the ready. The following day due to further delays with the train large numbers of people were marooned at the Hotel. Double Tree couldn't have handled it better. Benjamin was brilliant and , bless her Kimona was rushed of her feet at breakfast. All staff were great.

Recently had to stay in Kamloops to visit family at the Royal Inland Hospital, and chose the DoubleTree as located just a short walk away. Kimberley made my stay stress free, as provided a parking spot before I could check in, so I didn't have to pay for parking at the hospital. Room was very clean and quiet. I was given a free breakfast voucher too. Buffet breakfast was very good - scrambled eggs, toast, bacon/sausage, hash browns and juice/coffee. It was very busy in the restaurant though,... Read more

The hotel is located pretty much downtown. It looked very busy. When we arrived, there were many suitcases lined up in front of the hotel front door. The inside design was very unique. There were standard welcome warm cookies and two bottles of water for Diamond members. For Diamond members, there were also one complimentary beer.

The room was clean and well appointed. Obviously, there has been a renovation and new furniture installed. However, a number of nuisances exist. The bathroom light switch is inconveniently located by the room's door and behind the bathroom door. This means you have to close the bathroom door to turn the light on in the bathroom. The light switch for the ceiling fixture closest to the closet is all the way across the room from the closet. This means that you have to walk across the room to turn o... Read more

Clean, modern, friendly and convenient sums up our recent stay at this Double Tree. The rooms were well appointed and the toiletries really nice It was close to everywhere we wanted to go. Only wish the bar stayed open later. It was only 10pm and a Saturday night. We were entertaining guests and after a concert could not get a drink at the hotel or the downtown. All the finer restaurants close up early and our only choice was loud bars that weren't what we were looking for.

It is an old hotel that has been renovated. So, the room is small and you bump into doors. Stand up showers, blocked by door!! Wi-Fi is annoyingly sensitive and drops out frequently. Breakfast is standard Hilton stuff, nothing to get excited about. Coffee....absolutely great!!
