A group of four on a road trip from Calgary to Vancouver. We stayed at this hotel for two nights. The room was clean comfortable and well appointed. As advised in previous reviews, the beds have been replaced and are very good. Reception staff were efficient, friendly and helpful with recommendations for places to see and things to do. The only sour note to our stay was on our last night. We had done a lot of running around and just wanted to have a meal and go to bed, ready for an early start t... Read more

We were unsure of this hotel due to some of the reviews, but generally we have had a great stay. The beds and linen were excellent, very comfortable. Breakfast was either full or continental buffet. About 20 min walk to town. The rooms were a little tired, and hot. A relative simple change which would in my opinion up the standard is to provide proper glasses and mugs rather than paper/glass.

I stayed here after my trip to Banff and on my way to lake Louise. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable which is important to me. Unfortunately my room was a little worn. Some of the carpet had been worn away. It was not a major problem for me. If you don't mind walking then it is a beautiful location and quiet. It is just a bit of a walk to the main part of Jasper

Didn't read any reviews about the Chateau Jasper before we came. We had a room in another hotel Booked but due to an asthma attack (older fireplace in room) couldn't stay there. On arrival we were given room 131 (2 queen sized beds) and told by the receptionist this had just been renovated so they would appreciate feedback. The room was a good size and decorated with pleasant furnishings. The queen sized beds with super bedding were the most comfortable of all the 6 hotels I stayed in during my 2 week visit. My only criticism being the bathroom was too small with the door opening too close to the toilet. I didn't feel having the kitchen area with sink was necessary and ... Read more

Stayed here for a two night stay having previously stayed in Lake Louise. Good size room overlooking road (which appears to become a car park for coaches at night time). Free parking, free Wi-Fi, in room safe (which was a bit too temperamental closing for me to use, so didn't), fridge, coffee machine, air con and two double beds. Warm room even with air con on so ditched the duvet for a sheet and blanket, which helped. Bathroom OK but door took quite a bit of room. A short 15-20 minute walk into... Read more

My friend and I spent a night in Jasper as we had much to do and see. The weather wasn't the best but that was ok. The hotel is on Geike St., two streets off Connaught, the main street. The staff allowed us to check in early as the room had been cleaned. The room was a two double bed that faced the Discovery Trail and the road to Pyramid Lake. The beds were comfortable. A lovely hotel in a very quiet part of Jasper. The room was very large and the wifi was free and very efficient. The staff are delightful and the evening meal was of a good quality. The beds were extremely comfortable and the complimentary coffee in the room was greatly appreciated. The Spa is a great activity after a long day sightseeing and the hotel transfer to the Rocky Mountaineer train was fabulous. I would recommend this hotel without reservation.

We stayed in Chateau Jasper as base to explore Jasper. Staff were professional. Room was clean and comfortable. Wifi was good. To be expected for the price you pay. Minus- the room rates are in the high side. I suppose it is because we are in a touristy place, everything here is pricer.

Hotel is located towards the edge of Jasper and so is quiet. Room was large and with aircon, safe, toiletries, tea/coffee. Parking is provided. Staff were friendly. We ate the restaurant one night, the service was farcical, in fact it became quite funny. Food was OK but a number of dishes were not available which we only found out each time we tried to order one. Also, the ice machine on our floor was out of order for the 3 days or our stay.

I was happy with the hotel the rooms were very large. It was very quiet. The rooms were very clean. The water pressure in the shower was low but that's minor. The hot tub area was clean and we enjoyed the floor to ceiling windows as we relaxed. It is on the edge of jasper so not in walking distance to main street. Over all it was very nice.

We stayed 2 nights. The hotel appeared a bit old, but the rooms were spotlessly clean and roomy. The food and service in their restaurant were excellent. We were very impressed by the friendly and helpful staff - it makes such a difference to our stay when the staff are friendly. The reception person gave us info on a nice walk which starts at the back of the hotel and we were lucky enough to see an elk quite close to the track - what a bonus! The hotel is an easy walk to the centre of town, and... Read more

Hotels in Jasper are not cheap and Chateau Jasper is one of the cheapest. But at over $250 a night, one would expect better service than we received there in late September.  In our advance booking we requested a room either on the ground floor or near the elevator for my handicapped wife.  We were given instead a regular room on the 2nd floor at the far back of the building, as far as possible from the elevator and difficult to access from the parkade.  The air conditioning and TV in the roo... A clean and quiet hotel , a good fifteen minute walk from downtown Jasper .It is dated decor wise but you don't get a know where you will be staying when on a tour. The restaurant, food was huge helpings but definitely not fine dining. The tour operator advised I would be collected by the hotel from the train but I ended up having to pay for a taxi both ways.

our room was big and clean and the reception is nice, but the staff seemed apathetic most of the time, we had breakfast a couple of mornings and it took forever to be seated even though there were few people in the restaurant. Both mornings we had to wait ages for coffee and the second morning i asked again for coffee and the waitress was agitated and told me we was getting it, but had been held up. she couldn't seem to make it past the 1st few tables like there was an invisible line she couldn... Warm welcome, large suites, comfortable king bed and full amenities. Cheerful and helpful breakfast staff with plenty of choices. Walking distance to town. Good eating choices for every budget and benches to sit outdoors around the town. Interesting shops with friendly staff. Rental car or bus tours to see sights out of town. We had our own transportation and parking was easily available.
