A group of four on a road trip from Calgary to Vancouver. We stayed at this hotel for two nights. The room was clean comfortable and well appointed. As advised in previous reviews, the beds have been replaced and are very good. Reception staff were efficient, friendly and helpful with recommendations for places to see and things to do. The only sour note to our stay was on our last night. We had done a lot of running around and just wanted to have a meal and go to bed, ready for an early start t... Read more

We were unsure of this hotel due to some of the reviews, but generally we have had a great stay. The beds and linen were excellent, very comfortable. Breakfast was either full or continental buffet. About 20 min walk to town. The rooms were a little tired, and hot. A relative simple change which would in my opinion up the standard is to provide proper glasses and mugs rather than paper/glass.

I stayed here after my trip to Banff and on my way to lake Louise. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable which is important to me. Unfortunately my room was a little worn. Some of the carpet had been worn away. It was not a major problem for me. If you don't mind walking then it is a beautiful location and quiet. It is just a bit of a walk to the main part of Jasper

Didn't read any reviews about the Chateau Jasper before we came. We had a room in another hotel Booked but due to an asthma attack (older fireplace in room) couldn't stay there. So we had to locate another hotel in a hurry! We asked to see a room at Chateau Jasper and loved it! Very bright, well appointed and great bed and bathtub! The staff were so very accommodating during a power outage and handled themselves very well. We were given the option of moving but chose to stay. The hotel was ver... Read more

On arrival we were given room 131 (2 queen sized beds) and told by the receptionist this had just been renovated so they would appreciate feedback. The room was a good size and decorated with pleasant furnishings. The queen sized beds with super bedding were the most comfortable of all the 6 hotels I stayed in during my 2 week visit. My only criticism being the bathroom was too small with the door opening too close to the toilet. I didn't feel having the kitchen area with sink was necessary and ... Read more

Stayed here for a two night stay having previously stayed in Lake Louise. Good size room overlooking road (which appears to become a car park for coaches at night time). Free parking, free Wi-Fi, in room safe (which was a bit too temperamental closing for me to use, so didn't), fridge, coffee machine, air con and two double beds. Warm room even with air con on so ditched the duvet for a sheet and blanket, which helped. Bathroom OK but door took quite a bit of room. A short 15-20 minute walk into... Read more

My friend and I spent a night in Jasper as we had much to do and see. The weather wasn't the best but that was ok. The hotel is on Geike St., two streets off Connaught, the main street. The staff allowed us to check in early as the room had been cleaned. The room was a two double bed that faced the Discovery Trail and the road to Pyramid Lake. The beds were comfortable. We had a mini fridge located in the closet with the safe below it. Bathroom was spacious and the tub was a bit longer t... Read more

We had 2 nights at The Chateau Jasper. Our rooms were great. We asked for a twin room and were given 2 wonderful comfy Queen Beds. It was ideally located for a short stroll into the gorgeous little town of Jasper or to sit in the park area. The woods ran behind, so we took a stroll and had fabulous views of Jasper. Staff were very helpful. It was fabulous seeing 3 Elks sat on the grass outside the hotel when we arrived! The Rocky Mountaineer Train Station is actually walking distance too. Would ... Read more

A lovely hotel in a very quiet part of Jasper. The room was very large and the wifi was free and very efficient. The staff are delightful and the evening meal was of a good quality. The beds were extremely comfortable and the complimentary coffee in the room was greatly appreciated. The Spa is a great activity after a long day sightseeing and the hotel transfer to the Rocky Mountaineer train was fabulous. I would recommend this hotel without reservation.

We stayed in Chateau Jasper as base to explore Jasper. Staff were professional. Room was clean and comfortable. Wifi was good. To be expected for the price you pay. Minus- the room rates are in the high side. I suppose it is because we are in a touristy place, everything here is pricer.

This hotel is showing its age...had a stale smell and stuffiness in the rooms and everything was extremely outdated. A 3 star property at best. The location is ok but recommend going elsewhere for breakfast. Pricey and service was very slow.

This hotel was looking tired - in need of a facelift. Nice lounge for an evening drink. Comfortable beds though even if the room decor and hotel are dated. We stayed one night in April on our drive through the park.

Reception staff very friendly and the room was fantastic..2 large beds and plenty of space to walk around only negative no in room safe. Big clean bathroom. Breakfast was not included but could be purchased each morning and was very nice. Free parking a bonus. The hotel is located a 15 min walk from town.

Even though the hotel decor is dated, our room was very nice. We stayed in one of their suites- which gave us a nice sitting area in addition to a large bathroom and very comfortable bed.The hotel is a 15-20 minute walk from town and has free parking which was a nice bonus compared to other hotels we stayed in, in Canada. The restaurant was not too good- our food came out cold, and we felt very rushed by the wait staff.

Good clean accommodation excellent hot tub and pool Reasonable but basic dining (fine dining claimed, but not the case!) Best to eat breakfast out Helpful, international staff, but a good 15 minute walk from town This incurred unexpected extra costs as I have mobility issues They could do with putting on a shuttle bus

Room nice; daily housekeeping. Staff friendly. Wifi good in the room. A little distance from town, bit of a walk, but not too far. Good place to stay in Jasper. We didn't eat at the restaurants so unable to comment. Drive medicine lake to see wildlife; Fraser river rafting was so much fun! .

Stayed June 2016 We had the pleasure of staying in this hotel during our recent holiday Let me start by saying it was to celebrate my wife's 50 th birthday When we arrived we had been upgraded to a suite which was lovely. On entering the room was a present including champagne and chocolates for my wife. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff for this unexpected surprise The room was spotless and the bed was confortable. It had a single jacuzzi bath which I used daily. The hote... Had to move rooms, due to noisy extractor fan which staff could not say if it would stop overnight or not. Moved ok, got a decent sleep. Necessary after long days on Rocky Mountaineer. Pretty dated and drab; breakfast staff incomprehensible; food just adequate.

Overall the stay was quiet and decent. The lobby was updated and looked nice; however, as you walked down the halls and entered the room, it was like a throw back to the 80s.....it felt like I was in an old folks home. It was WAY over priced and would not recommend to anyone. We would definitely just gone straight home (3 hours away) and come back to jasper for the day. Definitely wasn't what I was expecting, would not return to that hotel unless tell rates are lowered, quite a bit. I understan... Read more

Arrived late afternoon & was s bit disappointed at the exterior, it looks nothing like a chateau at all, but check in was relatively painless, and the room was stunning, huge, clean & very wel appointed, the dinner & breakfast were good honest food, but adequate if a little overpriced, the only dowside is that some of the younger female staff are a bit vacant & ditsy, let's hope there assurance that there will be plenty of transport to the station early tomorrow is correct

A lovely hotel well situated in a quiet neighbourhood. Room was big and bed very comfortable. Wi fi free and good coverage. Breakfast was enjoyable with plenty of choice and good value. Evening meals were also good and service very good. Plenty of help from staff about things to do in the area.

This hotel has good staff but is a bit tired looking and long walk from town. The rooms are dated and the furniture old fashioned. The f Good thing is it's very quiet and there is a great place to eat nearby at the Inn. It came as part of a Rocky Mountaineer package and was ok but not Gold Leaf.

For Jasper, the accommodations were okay (meaning I don't think there were really so many options unlike Banff). The rooms were dated and I didn't like that there were old comforters on the beds. The fitness center is also pretty non-existent with just 1-2 machines and some very old weights in a tiny loft area above the very small indoor pool. We paid for the buffet breakfast each morning; the selection was standard. The juices were watered down. The staff were kind and warm but for the c... Read more

Have been travelling around BC and Alberta for two weeks and generally the hotels are overpriced when compared with European alternatives. The rooms are tired, clean and generously sized. A short ten to fifteen minute into town and adequate parking is available. Wifi is also provided. There is not much more to write - very standar... Read more
