Coming in from the east on the Yellowhead, this is the first hotel you see as you arrive in Hinton. Far enough away from the bulk of the town to be a nice quiet location. The hotel was extremely clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. Nice and easy to get on the highway to drive in to Jasper for the day.

Booked through Expedia. Check in was good and efficient. The room amenities were typical for a Holiday Inn and was clean and well presented. The bed was comfortable. We did not know this room however was right next to the gym and pool/water slide (Room 121). This made the the surroundings very noisy. It was too late in the night to ask for a change of room as we were tired after a long drive. The room came with breakfast included. But the restaurant was very busy at 8 am and we never got a chanc... Read more

Nice room with coffee maker, free wifi, tv, very comfortable bed. Stayed there after flying in from Edmonton and on our way through to Jasper and Banff National Park. You can see the mountains in the distance.

Nice hotel though position does not do it justice. Steak house next door and family restaurant the other side. We had two rooms on ground floor both nice and fairly quite though staff seemed noisy when getting ready for breakfast. Breakfast excellent and all staff very friendly. Pool looked great but did not have time to use it may be next time.

We used this hotel as a base camp for 4 days in Jasper. The hotel is great. Nice pool with big water slide. Delicious free breakfast buffet. Rooms are huuuuuge. My only negative is not about the hotel itself, but the distance to Jasper and all national park activities. It's about an hour to Jasper. It's a beautiful drive, but starts getting old by day 4. It may be worth the extra money if you can find something in Jasper itself.

Very friendly staff, great check in welcome. Rooms clean, roomy, and very comfy beds. Making coffee in the room is possible aswell. Breakfast is above par for these types of hotels. All in all this is a very good hotel to spend a few night on your trip in Canada.

Yes hotel is top quality. Did not expect much but was very pleasantly surprised. The rooms were spotless even though extra items such as sinks, fridges and microwaves had to be cleaned. Staff very good and reception helpful. Breakfast staff again good. I thought this hotel must have just been open a year ago because of the newness of all the rooms etc. Surprised to find it's about 8 years old. This must be down to management and staff.

Room was large and clean, beds were comfy. Staff were very friendly. Kids enjoyed the pool and waterside. Ask for a room higher up. we had a view of a wall and an industrial unit. That was the only downside. Luckily we weren't in the room for long.

Used this hotel as a base to explore Jasper and a stopover location on way to Edmonton. This hotel is excellent. Staff very friendly and room was very well appointed and modern. Breakfast in the morning is the what you expect from HI express and had plenty of options. Only issue was this hotel is used as a base for coach tours so if you hit breakfast at the same time as the large group there is very little seating space and it does take longer. Would use this hotel again as a base for expl... Read more

The hotel is thoroughly modern, clean and professionally staffed. The wi-fi was great! The front desk staff recommended a great restaurant that was in walking distance of the property. We encountered no issues there and would recommend it when in the area.

We were so happy to have found this hotel! We were greeted by friendly staff, ice cold lemon water, a water slide, hot tub and pool! Our room was so nice and roomy for the five of us. Dinner next door was excellent. Breakfast - included - was delicious and lots to choose from..hot and cold and fresh. They even popped a thank you note under our door! We will for sure recommend this Holiday Inn Express!

Nice hotel. With holiday Inn I don't expect too much. We booked a double queen room for 5 people. To our surprise the room is quite big which is very nice and includes an additional sofa bed. The staff at front desk was helpfull upon our arrival and brought additional towels and made the sofa bed. On second night we were missing additional towel, they know we are 5 people so why not leave 5 towels on the room? I tried to call housekeeping and front desk at 8:30pm but no answer. This hotel although a little pricey, is excellent. Staff very friendly and room was very well appointed and modern. Breakfast in the morning is the what you expect from a Holiday Inn Express and had a wide variety of items. Only one small problem, if a tour bus has booked this establishment, get down to breakfast early!

The hotel is about an hour away from the Jasper National Park attractions which was further away than I had expected. Overall the hotel was good, clean and looked renovated. But it is far away from everything so we only had breakfast there then left for the whole day until after dinner and literally just slept there. Overall it was a decent budget alternative to staying in Jasper which has limited lodging.

We had an Ok stay. Our room was a little bit noisy but it was a really big room, which surprised us, it had two tvs, a rather big sofa, and a huge bed. It was a generous room that they gave to us and for this we are very grateful. The lady at reception was friendly and helpful. We have no real negatives apart from a bit of noise from being located where it was, but accept that this is something the hotel cannot do anything about. Across the road there are a few places to eat. One which makes s... Read more

I visited this hotel for two nights. The room itself was large with really comfortable beds however the noise coming from the hallway and room above ruined any chance of a peaceful stay. I'm not sure why they would put a room directly off the lobby, across from the breakfast room and beside the elevator. Our neighbors above were so loud we called the front desk where no one answered. My travel companion had to go to the desk in her pyjamas to complain. I think if we had been on an upper floor ... Read more

We had a chance to stay here for a nite in June. We were travelling with 2 kids under 3 yrs and they provided us with a great crib for the baby. They gave us a main floor room which was smart when you have two running around. The room seemed very quiet. The breakfast in the morning had everything you could want to eat, it was great. Overall great stay.

Although our stay was brief, we were very impressed with this hotel. We booked two rooms for our family group. Breakfast buffet was much appreciated because it allowed us to get on the road quicker. The waterslide and pool were great! Also loved the Keurig coffee maker in the room, and the microwave and fridge. Very quiet at night. Busy in the morning but that is to be expected during high season near the mountains. Would definitely recommend this hotel and we would return again.

We stayed at Hinton Holiday Inn Express for three nights on our recent holiday to BC and Alberta, using it as a base to explore the awesome Jasper National Park. It was in a good location for our needs, with a scenic 40 minute drive back into the park. The hotel is very nice inside, and our room was really clean and comfortable. We booked a room with two queen beds for a bit of extra room towards the end of our holiday. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom had an excellent shower. ... Read more

Wouldn't have stayed here if there had been other options. Very busy season based on lack of options in Jasper. $200 American included breakfast with usual meh fare. I am accustomed to that at HIE and deal with it by not eating there. I accept that. The major problem was HVAC. Unable to control it. Worse was the air quality. Didn't realize it was some distance from Jasper center, but it made "all the difference" in out trip. Surprised, we were "up-graded" to a suite and the UT/Va. Tech game was on TV. The facility was wonderful and included breakfast. Our location NW of the park center was perfect for viewing animals we would not have seen if we had stayed in Jasper. Thanks

We stayed here after driving the Icefield Parkway because there were no vacancies in Jasper. This review is based only on the Executive Suite. Really tough for me to assign a rating for the entire hotel, but I have to go with one star. Hinton for us was the top end of a Glacier/Banff/Jasper road trip. I decided to splurge on the executive suite for three nights for the extra beds and space, to give our family a break (me, spouse, two kids, plus grandma). It is the largest, best room in the hotel, and it was truly bizarre. It's in the basement. Seriously. Your only view is of the window ... Read more

Everything was great at the hotel. We had to ask a few questions regarding the breakfast included option. Be careful that you are booking the correct Holiday Inn. This one has a $10. breakfast that is well worth the money! We did not have time to use the pool or exercise room, but we did have dinner right across the street at the Spaghetti house - that was good (not the spaghetti, but the Salmon was super)

We have stayed here 3 times over the last 8 years on our way to Jasper. It is a typical HIE. The rooms are clean and well maintained. We had a king bed on the 3rd floor. The pool is small and does not open until 8. They gave a small gym which is typical of a hotel gym. Breakfast is included in the rate and is a good start to the day. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great rate as it was off season.
