We stayed in a Club room at the Sheraton Hamilton the weekend of May 6,7,8. Staff were very friendly, and it was very fast and easy to check in. Room was large and beds were so nice to sleep on. The breakfast in the Club Lounge had plenty of food (eggs, waffles, cereral, etc) that was included with your club room. You walk out of the Hotel into an underground mall that had plenty of brand name stores. Would definitely stay there again!

Called early morning day of arrival to see if there was fridge in room. Because we booked a less expensive room there wasn't but the very friendly girl said they would put one in our room complimentary. She then offered a microwave complimentary also!.When we arrived we were told we had been upgraded and put into a river view room-no extra charge! Very clean, comfy beds, nice pool and spa and wonderful staff!

My experience was awesome. We received a complimentary upgrade to a king suite with a view. Needed a steamer for our wrinkled wedding clothes. 'No problem' they said and had house keeping bring their's up within minutes for us to use. Rooms were always impeccably clean after house keeping came through. The mattress on pullout bed was thin and uncomfortable. We called guest services and they had a very comfortable roll out bed brought up, again within minutes. My only complaint about this hote... This hotel is so nicely decorated! Everything was so clean and welcoming. The parking garage is a bit confusing, but it's nice to be able to park in a garage and not have to worry about weather or finding a parking lot close to the hotel. This hotel was within walking distance to dinner and the First Ontario Centre, which was great! It's nice that it joins in to the mall as well- a little mini village without having to hop into the car. The room was very nice, a huge King sized bed and lots ... Read more

We had a great stay with Sheraton from the moment we checked in. Greeted with smiles, and recognition of our occasion. The hotel had really gone above and beyond to make us feel at home, and celebrated. We ate in the restaurant for dinner, it was delicious, and the wait staff were lovely and so courteous. We enjoyed our evening out and came back to drinks in the bar. The waitress actually came back to greet us, ask us about our show and recommend dessert. The fact that she remembered us, after a... We booked this hotel at the last moment, have secured tickets to take our grand daughter to Cirque du Soleil. We chose it for location, but would choose it again in the future, just because it was such a great hotel. Check in was easy and the parking convenient. The pool, our usual first stop when we have our grand daughter with us, was large and bright and clean and not too cold. The hot tub was right beside it and there were lots of towels. The best part was that the pool was salt water - so... Read more

We came from a wedding and we had to have a late check-in, which they easily accommodated, so I appreciated that. When we got there around 1am we were cheerfully greeted and were able to quickly get to our room. I also appreciated that I could check-out later and have a quick check-out (just drop the key cards in the box). The garage was a bit confusing, but I was happy to have a spot. The room was beautiful, but I think the bed was absolutely the best! It was so comfortable, I could hardly get ... Read more

The beds were so comfortable and the bedding was simple but beautiful at the same time. The staff were amazing and the room service was outstanding. This property, located in the heart of Hamilton is really convenient for business. Across the street from the Hamilton Convention Centre it was perfect for my business trip. Check in was fast and effortless with very efficient, warm and friendly staff. Room service was quick and the food was very good. This is an older hotel but good effort was put into the renewal of the facility over the years! It appears to be the only downtown hotel in Hamilton and as such very much in demand when comes time for conference type facility and lodging. When my wife and I checked in this weekend for a conference, there were four staff at each of the front desk station with no guest in front of them! Generally a good hotel. We stayed on Club Level and the extra facilties seemed worth the extra fee. The hotel felt a little old and dated. Only 3 lifts and lots of waitng in busy times. Biggest problem was the number of homeless people and beggars hanging around the front of the hotel. On one occasion my daughter had to retreat back inside the hotel to escape a drunk or drugged person. We wouldn't walk the street at night. No law enforcement to be seen. The whole city seems to suffer fro this.

Rooms were amazing, staff were amazing. BUT I was confronted by an extremely drunk and aggressive homeless man, staff moved him on but he came back. I was scared to go outside by myself as they come up to your face begging and when you say no they scream drunken slurs at you. The homeless often wandered through the lobby and made everyone feel unsafe with their bags. I would only go outside with someone else and if it was day light. This hotel is located downtown on a busy street which makes for some difficulty unloading luggage and checking in. My first impression was one of concern due to the commotion in the lobby from two very loud and boisterous women. This hotel is downtown and is connected to Jackson square shops. Convenient location if you are going to a hockey game or concert. There are many restaurants nearby and a food court downstairs. The third floor outdoor space was very nice. The gym was ok. Very hot and not many tv channels if you don't bring your iPod. Service was great. Out front I saw guests smoking and they were occasionally harassed by beggars. The doorman would shoo these people away. Very helpful staff

When reserving the room the man on the phone did not want to give me the best deal available so I booked online and saved over $30. Bed was the best part of the room. Very comfortable. Service not great. Parking terrible. Room not clean.

What a nightmare. Spent the weekend there a few weeks ago to attend our nieces wedding. Requested early check in on Saturday but room wasn't available till 3.00 with about 600 other people all checking in at the same time. The elevators were the biggest problem - 45minutes waiting and no staff came to help out. Finally got to our room and could not get into the room as the maids were cleaning the rooms still at 3.00 and the carts were in front of the doors with no maids around. We had to move th... Great room. Quiet. Clean. Updated with great new bathroom. Glass walled shower type of deal, no tub (so if you have tub-needing kids, maybe theres a different room available?) Good internet, easy to log on. Had mini fridge. Parking was easy and safe. Able to get late checkout with ease. Starbucks by lobby. Great stay.

I was very pleased to find that the Sheraton brand holds up in another property across the continent. Firstly, in a town where you don't know the area and don't want to bother with learning, it is great to have an inviting bar and lounge area to look forward to coming back to at night. The overall feel of the hotel is that it is well kept and modern. The beds and pillows were comfy and rooms were clean. I also appreciated the credit they offer if you don't need linens and towels changes. We we... Read more

I spent two nights at the hotel with my sister while we exchanged carer roles for another family member. We requested a quiet room and that is exactly what we got. We heard nothing at all once we were in our room and the beds were amazingly comfortable - perfect after a stressful day. The staff in the lounge were friendly and efficient and we enjoyed a quiet drink there both evenings before going to bed. Check in was quick and effortless. There were no problems with finding parking in the ho... Read more

Parking on arrival is a pain. You pull up out front if you can get a spot. Inside the check in desks are very small and I didn't even realize it was the check in. The person on the desk was very inexperienced and check in took a long time. You have to take two different elevators to go from room to party. Hotel parking in almost nil so you have to park in the mall parking area, which is a bit of a walk to the hotel entrance. The room is nice and clean inside. Very loud though to other roo... Read more

I thought it would be smooth sailing as the hotel was in Hamilton. They have valet parking with no one in sight to park your car. The luggage carts are locked up so if no one is available you have to wait. The check in was great once I got there. The room was good, clean and the maid came each day. The restaurant is a disaster. Hot, 1 server for the whole lounge, 2 hour wait for our food and no real accountability. I would keep searching for a hotel if I am in the area again.

Awesome hotel and great location. Be careful which street you walk down because it is a bit of a sketchy area. there are a lot of cool local restaurants around and a beautiful park nearby. There is an awesome Starbucks in the lobby and the pool and gym are great.

I choose this hotel now every time I have to go to Hamilton. Right across the street from the Hamilton art museum and I made sure this time I travelled with my granddaughter and attended the museum after lunch at the Sheraton. As always enjoyed the meal, the service was wonderful at the bar/restaurant where I had the penne pasta and shrimp cocktail was fresh and worth getting again because I am definitely going back soon, front desk has Brittney, Cindy, Natalia, Willy and rooms are clean and co... Had a good couple of days at Hamilton between traveling from Toronto to Niagara Falls. The Sheraton is right in the centre of the city so close to the GO station and a short walk to the centre of the city. The big plus is that the reception of the hotel is attached to a huge shopping mall, which has a fantastic food court straight in front of the entrance doors. The guy who checked us in was very pleasant, the room as great with a very comfy bed. The hotel was right next door to a comedy cl... Read more

Chagall's Restaurant at the Sheraton Hamilton. My wife and I dined at Chagall's before attending the 2016 pre-season NHL game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Detroit Red Wings. We tried one restaurant closer to the First Ontario Centre in Jackson's Square but there was 45 minutes lineup. We were presently surprised to find no lineup and a very pleasant setting for a quiet meal. the service was great and we enjoyed chatting with our waitress Laurie. This hotel was the center for a convention I attended in Hamilton. Given the location and age of the property I did not expect much. In fact the property is pretty standard in all regards . It is a standard example of a chain trying to be a destination is a mid sized city. Where it does shine is in the attitude of the front desk staff. My experience with each of them was very pleasant and they each seemed happy with their jonbs and keen to make the stay enjoyable. Not always the case in a... Read more

Right from the first person (Cindy) I talked to at the reception desk till the end of my stay, I have to say it was a great experience. Every single employee was courteous, helpful and had a smile. Must be a good place to work at. I flew into Toronto on a red eye flight so got to the hotel first thing in the morning and Cindy at the reception desk went above and beyond to make sure I was accommodated with my early arrival. My hats off to her and this hotel! Thank u for a very pleasant stay!

Lovely room and view of Hamilton Bay and Burlington Skyway. Very polite and helpful staff. Comfortable bed, up to date bathroom and accessories. Only complaint, if you can call it that, was the ice machine working full time all night long across from our room. Otherwise perfect! Will return and will recommend to anyone visiting Hamilton. So handy to First Ontario Centre.

The Sheraton Hamilton is perfectly located if you want to be in the center of the city for a visit or business. We were attending a concert at the FirstOntario arena which is right next door to the hotel. The hotel was very busy the Saturday night we stayed but the check in process still went very smoothly and quickly. We had booked a room on the club floor (floors 16 to 18) and weren't disappointed - it was a decent size, had two queen-sized beds, was sparkling clean and very quiet. We all ... Read more

Stayed at the Sheraton Hamilton for that city??s marathon. The hotel is centrally located with a friendly staff and clean rooms. The primary inconvenience was the toilet, which clogged the first night requiring professional help. Yes it??s annoying that bossy governments mandate low flush toilets but maybe the management can splurge and invest in the power-flushing variety. An odd convenience: the hotel lobby connects directly to a 1980s vintage mall. Parking was cheap for a city center hotel,... Read more

My husband planned a surprise getaway to attend a concert in Hamilton. The Sheraton is in a great location only steps from the venue. Wonderful front desk staff!! Very helpful and accommodating. Our room was on the 18th floor facing out over the escarpment and river. As long as you didn't swing to the right the views were lovely! ??? The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. Luxurious!!

Picked the Sheraton because of it's close proximity to First Ontario Place, we were going to a concert. Room & parking rates were reasonable. Room was clean, staff was friendly & helpful. We tried to go to the restaurant that they have on site, but they were only serving a prime rib buffet, no menu orders, so we went elsewhere.

We stayed for a dance convention at the Convention Center across the street. The location was perfect. There is a bridge from the second level going over King Street to cross directly into the Convention Center without going outside. Room was a good size and very clean and beds were comfortable. Downstairs there is a Starbucks and it connects to mall for lots of fast dining options (Nations, Food Court in Mall, etc.) Overall, very nice stay.

My husband I and had a wedding in Burlington in early October. Thought it would be a good idea to find a hotel in Hamilton as there is more choice. The overall experience at the Sheraton was alright... a little underwhelming. The photos on the website shows updated rooms with attractive furniture. The actual room is more bland, not too exciting. The main complaint however was the noise level. We had to call down to the front desk to complain, then go downstairs to complain again as the roo... Read more
