I stayed at the Days Inn Hamilton during the last weekend of April 2016. I came in with low expectations due to the decent price I paid of 113$. I guess I should have read more reviews because although I had low expectations, I was expecting to stay in a hotel as the Days Inn is a hotel change, but instead found myself in the worst MOTEL I've ever seen. When I arrived there was a mother and a daughter checking in and another woman waiting, then myself. I waited about half an hour to check in... Read more

This hotel is consistently clean, and the rooms are normal size. Decor is a bit distressed and showing some wear, especially on the floors. Breakfast is very basic continental, but well maintained. First floor rooms away from the parking lot are the quietest.

The two-queen-bed "accessible" room in Days Inn Hamilton has a high threshold that a wheelchair user can't get over without help. Luckily my friend and my mother had me to help, when they were entering the room, but once it was time to get out again, my mother had to get the desk clerk to give them a hand. He was incredibly helpful - he even moved the dresser that prevented my friend's wheelchair from getting past the first bed into the room. The website also said that the toilet had a raised se... We came in very late, and the parking was full. The clerk told us to park on the sidewalk, and promised that we will not be ticketed by police. This was true. The neighborhood as well as parking lot did not feel very safe in the evening. Inside everything was OK, the room was very big and good, though some signs of recent leaking on the ceiling. Very inconvenient way from QEW.

The hotel was clean. It was non smoking, no rooms set aside for smokers. It was also not pet friendly. Even though the breakfast was included, I will not stay here again.

In town for a wedding and wanted something economical, which this was. Staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the room, although "non-smoking" must have previously been a smoking room. The smell of stale tobacco permeated everything and was almost gagging. The linens and room were clean which made it tolerable for the short stay.

The room appeared very clean and up to date. I HAD A PROBLEM WITH BEDBUG BITES. ..I know this could be isolated situation and most hotels are inspected regularly. . I reported to management so they would not book room to another before they addressed the issue. .. if they had been less defensive and more proactive I would not have reported this here but I was not confident any action would be taken...

Disappointing to say the least. Run down, toilet was plugged so I was given a plunger to fix. Eventually moved to another room. One person/receptionist working by herself for a 60 bedroom place:( Complimentary breakfast...even the apples were old and bruised. As long as you have low expectations you will survive.

This was my second stay in the last 5 years at this conveniently located downtown location. The hotel is less than a mile from the First Ontario Centre arena and downtown itself. It's about a 15 mi-20 minute walk to the arena. Directly across the street is Denninger's, an amazing food and cafeteria style restaurant with many daily choices. I absolutely loved this place. My only regret is that they open for breakfast at 9 AM and not earlier. As far as the hotel provided breakfast, it really needs... Read more

If you want a short stay for say a concert this establishment works. It has an interesting round lobby. Breakfast area is small but has enough variety for food including a waffle-maker. Rooms have not been upgraded in a while but we found the beds clean and fairly comfortable for a short stay. Mini fridge and microwave were a plus. View out the window was a brick wall but we weren't there for the view. Staff was pretty helpful.

t's a clean, well serviced hotel that gives anyone a comfortable place to stay while out and about. Is it a fancy 5 star hotel? Not at all, but it most certainly isn't a dump. The breakfast was sub-par, but really, when it comes to hotel breakfast, it was pretty standard. Room was nice and clean. Bathroom was well maintained. Front desk staff was always respectable. If I ever find myself in the area again, I would definitely stay here again. Cheap rates and a comfortable stay. Thank you, Days In... Read more

We had quite a bit of luggage, and a sprained ankle. We made the mistake of assuming that there was going to be an elevator. We asked for a room on the first floor, but there was no rooms left . Luckily this is only a two floor hotel. The breakfast was ok, we were just surprised that they did not take the dollarama stickers off of everything.

Duvet and sheets were ripped. I went to the washroom in the morning and there was a bug of some kind the ran scurried from the light of the bathroom to the dark of the room - it had 10 or 12 legs, kind of like a centipede. GROSS! The room smelled and it was cold in the hall but hot in the room. The shower was disgusting. There was a tile loose in the floor of the bathroom and the grout was coming loose. There was a coffee machine in the room but no coffee... Only good thing is that the ro... Read more

My husband and I spent a week end at the Days Inn Hamilton in late June 2016. Please know that we are not fussy at all. All we want is a good bed and a clean room. The room per se was your average room for this kind of hotel, no frills, tv, fridge, air conditioning. We were attending a conference so we were out most of the time. Upon arrival, around 7 PM,the woman at front desk was dealing with 3 guests checking in and it took her forever to sort things out. She then checked us in and reluctant... Read more

This is an older 2 storey walk up hotel. It is dated but is functional. Overall the place is clean but needs a coat of paint. The TV's are older flat screen being about 10 years old. The bathrooms are clean and have been updated to some degree. They provide a small fridge and a microwave. The area is a little rough but never felt unsafe when walking around in the evening. I like the location and stay here on a regular basis for business.

So this is not a new hotel as the description says. The whole place is dated, worn and tired. We paid $120 CA per night for a room that was less than average and smelled stale. We paid $120 per night for a room that smelled of smoke, a bedcover and shower curtain with unidentifiable stains on it, toilet that leaked, shower head that didn't spray water so much as spit it at us, mold on the walls. Parking is free however there was an event overnight so the parking lot filled up and we couldn't use it. Had to park a block away on some shared space with the church. Didn't chance it at the breakfast. Cleaning staff left trash cans in the hallway. Never, ever, ever again.

Thankfully it was only one night that I was at the Days Inn. It is pretty centrally located in downtown Hamilton, but the area around the hotel is very sketchy. The staff at the front desk were disinterested and rude - for example one of them was sat behind the desk with earphones in.
