hotel is brand new, opened July 2016, was clean and comfortable. Odd location though, with shopping and movie theatre. Stopped only for the night to pass through Nova Scotia, was convenient to highway. Good breakfast, with hot food.

We had a one night stay. The staff was friendly and the rooms clean and bright. Would have liked to be able to close drapes completely to be able to sleep in later. Swimming pool still under construction but this location only had been opened one week so understandable. The hotel provides a hot buffet breakfast but other meals had to go to another restaurants. Would visit again.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights as our daughter was in town for a sports tournament. The hotel is new as it had just opened within the past two weeks. The room was very clean and still had the new smells, beds were really comfortable, bathroom was a nice size with lots of soft towels. The pool wasn't open as they still had some tiling to complete, but we were advised when we booked that it would not be open. This is a relatively new development and the landscaping and future developmen... Read more

We had reservations for a hotel in new Glasgow for the overnight before our flight out the next day but saw this brand new hotel online and switched as it is a little closer and brand new. It has actually been open about 3 1/2 weeks now and looks and smells that way. The rooms have Native American art inside as this is quite near a Native American culture center. The beds and bedding are super comfortable. The bathroom is spacious and well laid out. The windows had a great pulldown shade that ... Read more

This Hotel was a few weeks old. First of all the front desk staff was amazing. They were kind and welcoming and very friendly. We had such a nice time checking in that we wanted to stay longer. The room was brand new and spotless. Breakfast was complementary and plentiful. We loved the make your own waffle station and whipped cream! I would definitely stay here again!

We booked this as our last night before flying out of Halifax airport. It was perfect! The beds were the best we had all week (most of which was on Cape Breton). The room was large and well laid out - perfect for rearranging/repacking all our luggage for flying after a week on the move. Room had an excellent king bed with plenty of pillows, plus a flat screen TV and a small fridge in the room. The shower was a bit too modern for me - the temp adjustment was on the opposite end from the faucets... Read more

We stayed here last week unexpectedly when Delta canceled our connecting flight to Halifax. We drove from New York and tried to make it to Lunenburg to make up for our lost time on our itinerary but could't drive any further as we were exhausted. We were already planning to stay this week as a stopping point on the way to Charlottetown so had already researched the hotel. For both stays, we booked the King Bedroom Studio room which I believe is their largest type room. Being a 25 year Honors... Read more

This Hampton is a little over an hour north of Halifax. If you find Halifax booked in the summer, this is an inexpensive alternative if you headed toward Halifax. Rooms were clean, standard Hampton with the standard breakfast. The property is not right on the highway, but with the Hampton signage you can find it. Room was inexpensive, less than US$100. Pool was out of service, but this was noted on the reservations page.

This hotel just opened one month ago. Pool wasn't open yet. We were offered admission to the rec centre down the road which we did use and had a great time. I had booked through the Hampton website and it said in 2 spots that there was a pool so beware and call ahead to check. Breakfast was great. Room was clean and smelled brand spanking new. The laundry facilities and the fitness room are close so I was able to fit in some exercise while I waited for the laundry.

I know the hotel has only been open 1 month, but you'd think it was only open 1 day when we arrived. Poor front desk service, lack of knowledge on how to use the computer system, breakfast staff were not able to keep up with food or utensils. Room itself was as expected, clean and new. Could still smell the paint which was a drawback. Wait until they have "worked long enough" to do their jobs well before you stay here.

I wanted to give the hotel a higher rating because it's new, very clean, and the staff extremely pleasant. But, there were a few quirks that cause me to rate it average. Maybe I should drop it to poor, but the staff was so accommodating, I'll stick with average. First, another reviewer commented on the barn door used for the bathroom. There is a gap when the door is closed such that privacy is limited. Further, I discovered that if you're in the bathroom and someone comes to your door, you... Read more

I really expected to get more out of this stay but the air conditioner was so loud that I couldn't even sleep and the shower would run as I was trying to fill the tub for my son to have a bath. The hotel is very new and was opened in June 2016. The building and room was very clean and modern. The beds were not as comfortable as other Hampton Inn's I've stayed in. The hotel was very difficult to find, since it was not yet on google maps. Not located near restaurants so we had to drive about 10 minutes for dinner. Check in process was smooth and quick. The breakfast was not very desirable so we decided to go to Tim Hortons. Okay if just traveling through Truro.

There was No fan in bathroom, there was a lack of hot water for our bath, and the bed sounded like it was on a metal boxspring. For a new Hilton Hotel(4 months) the usual Quality in construction was lacking. The quality of finishings was lacking, when compared to other Hilton Hotels we have stayed at in the past.

Excellent hotel - very reasonable prices. Great value for the money. New hotel not far at all from all of Truro's amenities. Breakfast was great and eating space was large compared to other hotels. Absolutely recommend it.

These guys do it right from the moment you arrive to the minute you check out. A complete package of high quality facilities, great staff and a first class room! Will definitely book again in the near future! Make sure you don't miss the exit from main highway!

Provides excellent accommodations with a quality staff. While booking my stay this was the only Hotel chain to offer a business rate and flexible booking. They have been very quick to respond to all my needs.

Looks to be a newer property and things are in good order. Our check-in was smooth though not the service experience was not great. The room was good although we had a couple of big flies in it, one dead on the pillow and one buzzing around. I didn't think much of it though I've not seen that before. The bathroom had a good toiletry set and plenty o... Read more

Super clean, and great staff. If you are a light sleeper be sure to request an EVEN numbered room to avoid road traffic which was an issue to some of us. We mentioned it and were relocated immediately and had a nice, quiet, wonderful stay.
