Staff was great. Our room was clean and comfortable. Lots of hot water. We ate at the restuarant in the same building. It is called Niche. Food was good and staff very friendly. We checked in at 3...easy check in process...easy internet access. We were within walking distance of waterfront. Hotel was quiet and beds were great.

Great Hotel, next to the boardwalk, lots to do near by... Staff was pleasant, however we were surprised by the $45 parking fee... We had a suite overlooking the water... The hotel had a clean pool for our 15month old baby... Our suite had a fridge and coffee maker...

Best hotel I've stayed at in Halifax. Warm and friendly concierge and excellent room service. The attached restaurant Niche is wonderful for food and drinks. The hotel is located right near the water with lots of shopping and sight seeing nearby. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. I've stayed a few other places prior to the four points but will never go back anywhere but this hotel. Highly recommended.

Great Hotel, close walk to downtown, friendly staff, easy underground parking, the pool was closed for a few hours, so the friendly & helpful staff called the hotel across the street, The Marriott, to see if my little girl could use their pool and she could, made a very happy little girl. Hotel was clean, affordable, staff were great. I,d highly recommend this hotel

The hotel is lobby area is refreshed and welcoming. Check in was a bit slow due to a new trainee. There are 2 elevators for the hotel and expect a bit of a wait especially during busy times. They are quite slow and are used by the staff for housekeeping carts and supplies. The hotel is a couple blocks from the boardwalk and close to many good restaurants. Alexander Keith's is just 3 or so blocks away. The BIG issue with the hotel is they ran out of umbrellas for their guests at 8am. The previous... Read more

I did not care for this place at all, but I honestly didn't expect to like it. I just needed a place to stay in downtown Halifax for one night after arriving via airplane from the States while on my way to more picturesque places in NS. It's a Sheraton; so, it's a average hotel brand, but I did feel like this particular one was below average. First, the hobby is seriously sub par. Second, the room smelled like it hadn't been aired out in years and like it had once been a smoking room. Third, it ... Read more

My wife and I really loved staying here. We had a complimentary upgrade to a junior suite and made full use of it. The King Size bed was really comfortable and was great for lounging in. The hotel is very close to entertainment and there's a night club connected. Parking was secure and indoors. The staff was friendly and helpful. There's a small gym, pool and a four person hottub in the basement.

Visit started pleasantly, received a friendly welcome and a room promptly after arriving. The room, unfortunately, is nowhere near the value expected for the premium price. We have a room with a separate living space. The bedroom is separated from the living area by a door which is nice and the bathroom is spacious. Unfortunately the age of the hotel shows in its old AC units and obviously quick fix renovated tub with a shoddily installed tub cap. The furniture is severely warn and in disparate ... Read more

The location is perfect if you are looking to spend time in downtown Halifax. It's a block away from the waterfront, and you can walk almost anywhere. I stayed four nights. The hotel was clean and comfy. The staff were helpful and kind. I would definitely stay here again.

I requested a quiet room as I knew I would be studying for an upcoming exam. I was given a room facing the courtyard, which from the reviews does seem to be the quieter side. Unfortunately, a family with loud, rambunctious children were staying a few doors down. I believe they had two adjacent rooms as the children kept opening and closing the doors and running up and down the halls. I brought this up at the front desk upon check-out and the woman became rather defensive stating that they can't... Read more

I stayed here for business meetings and, though my stay was short, everything was pleasant. The room was clean, staff were friendly and had no problem storing baggae to accommodate our crew. Will stay here again! My only issue was the service at the restaurant but that gets a separate review. Overall it was great and the location is perfect - within walking distance of shopping and great food!

This hotel is located close to the waterfront and provides typical Sheraton quality with high marks for cleanliness and front desk hospitality. The bed was very comfortable on the soft side and the TV and Wi-Fi worked good. We could not find the restaurant in the morning, but there are a lot of dining options. There is a charge for self parking.

Our family had a 2 night stay here recently. The rooms were clean, large and well appointed. Parking is right below the building in an underground lot, which was nice for security reasons. The front desk staff went out of their way to accommodate us, finding us a microwave and responding to a maintenance call to our rooms (turned out to be our error, not a maintenance problem!). First of all, I don't think most summer visitors want to spend much time in Halifax. Yes, the fort is interesting, the public garden is a nice 20 minutes and you can take a walk on the harbor boardwalk, but then you should leave town. The Four Points suffers from the same problem as almost all members of the chain: it's just not nice enough to be a regular Sheraton Hotel. It's older and a little dumpier. We spent three days at the hotel. Its location is excellent -- close to everything downtown, within walking distance of museums, the Citadel, restaurants, etc. HOWEVER, we found the hotel quite noisy. Sounds echo down the corridors. The best thing about this hotel is its location, just a few steps from the waterfront area in Halifax, you can easily walk to the pier and enjoy a lobster roll while deciding which water activity to participate next. Complimentary wifi, nice lobby area, we did not get to try any of the food options though, precisely because of the good location, a lot of good restaurants are available at walking distance.

I stayed in this hotel for my sister's wedding recently (which was held at another hotel in the area. This was a pretty good experience. No big complaints at all. The best stuff: -friendliest staff I've ever encountered, even by maritime standards. Every. single. person. i saw said hello and asked how my stay was. If we were in the elevator together they chatted a little as well. It felt very welcoming -location is just about the best you can get in Halifax -beds were very comfortable ... Read more

Located a block from Halifax‚??s famous waterfront, this hotel has it all! Guest service received from Emily on check-in was superlative and she recommended things to see and do. Accommodations were well-appointed, clean and their beds were the most comfortable of all the hotels we stayed in during our journey to the Maritimes. I would love to know the mattress type in the rooms as I‚??m in need of a new one! Thanks to all staff for making our stay memorable! We‚??ll be back!

This hotel is in easy walking distance from the boardwalk, the Citadel, and TONS of restaurants, bars & pubs. I selected the hotel for its location, and also because I am a fan of the Sheraton brand and have found my experience at their other properties to be pretty consistent. Although the bed was comfortable and the front desk staff friendly & helpful, I have to say the property itself was pretty dated and shabby. A smell slightly on the musty side, carpets that look like they have seen bette... Read more

The room was fine , it was clean, no frills. It would be nice to have a view of the harbor. There is a restaurant however, we didn't try it. The best feature of this hotel is the location. Easy access to all the attractions and many restaurant and bars in the area.

This is a decent hotel in a great location. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Fitness facilities are great. There are many restaurants closely, the harbour walk is 5 minutes away and the Citadel is just up the hill. When we checked in I almost felt like saying to the staff member to cancel our reservation and leaving. She was cold, sharp and most unwelcoming. I wondered whether staff training in guest services is a priority. Chewing gum while talking is a major turn off for me. A profession... Read more

The hotel was fantastic and the staff was wonderful. I only stayed for 3 nights but my cousin stayed for 6. We had a great stay at the hotel! The harbour is very close to the hotel, just a 5 minute walk. There's a lot that would appeal to tourists on the harbour. The room was very clean and comfy!

We arrived at the hotel being a little uncertain of what to expect. After figuring out how to access the parking before checking in ( just pull in and press the intercom), we were very surprised with our room. We had a room with two queen beds. Our room was very clean and smelled absolutely wonderful, the bathrooms are very nice and the shower was equipped with soap, shampoo and conditioner dispensers. The staff seem very nice and friendly.

We chose this hotel for its location in downtown Halifax , but were underwhelmed with the hotel itself. The hallway carpets were badly stained, no hair blower in the rooms, a $20.00 a day charge for parking in an underground parking lot that does not belong to the Sheraton. I wrote the manager to discuss some of these issues and the response was that next year it will be going through a multi - million dollar upgrade. So this year you pay for the upgrade and stay at a 3 star (or less) hotel. ... Read more

We had a great 3 night stay at the Sheraton. The staff was helpful, very courteous. We used the pool and hot tub Pool was great We thought the hot tub was dirty. We reported that to the desk and they thanked us for letting them know. Everyone working there was pleasant. The hotel was within close proximity to the waterfront, the citadel (if you don't mind walking all the hills. Several great restaurants nearby. While the rooms are clean and nicely appointed, the hotel has seen better days. The halls are ugly and the whole hotel seems to lack air, so much so that it made it hard to breathe. We reserved a room with 2 beds and they sent us to a room with one. Phoned down snd mo one snswered the guest services phone. When we got back to the desk they acted like it was somehow our fault and we were inconveniencing them. The hot tub was tiny and difficult to get into. It was actually a warm tub - not eve... We had an easy, friendly check in, the front desk girl showed us a map and suggested some attractions closeby, the key card worked, WiFi worked, and the room was clean, pretty reasonable standards right? The TV remote hardly worked, and the TV froze a lot, our chromecast for our tablet wouldn't work. The pillows are poor quality and unbearably soft The vending machine didn't work ( when your pregnant and need to eat when the restaraunt is closed this is important) There were no coffee filters pr... Booked a junior suite with a harbour view through Expedia. The suite was awful, across from the elevator, on a busy floor, on street level on a noisy street. The decor was from the 80s. The harbour view was from a small window to the side. I had to jump to see out. I would have walked out except we had prepaid. We asked for a downgrade and then got a lovely room.

We chose this hotel for its location and spent several nights here. When our flight to Halifax was cancelled and we had to cancel our room for the first night at the last moment, the staff was spectacular and didn't charge us. We were most grateful. Pros: - Comfortable bed + linens - Nice sized rooms - Clean - Helpful + Friendly Staff - Location - Great WiFi Cons - The Restaurant - extremely slow service, despite not being busy - extremely slow. Had a very enjoyable stay in Halifax. Room is very comfortable and spacious. Hotel is attached to a small mall, which appears almost abandoned. The restaurant is in this mall, and I had difficulty finding the right door getting in there. Many, many restaurants within a 5 to 10 min walk, including the harbor area. Hotel has their own parking garage just past the main entrance on the right side. Many cruise ships come here, but you can't really see anything in 1 day. I spent 3 nights here, but cou... Read more

Spent 10 days at this wonderful hotel. Location is central to most everything you would want to do, Harbour walk was just a quick walk down the (albeit steep hill) and Barrington st/Argyle st were a 5 min walk away with many bars/restaurants and entertainment. Rooms were big and service was fine. Room service was accommodating with requests for additional towels, etc. Downside was the restaurant which we had breakfast there once and found it pricy. We stayed for 4 nights in July on vacation. The location really can't be beat. It's within walking distance to the harbor, restaurants, late night bars (but not too close) and we had no noise, etc. We did have a problem with the shower not draining and we called maintenance 2 or 3 times but the issue was never resolved by the time we left. We also requested a king bed but by the time we arrived (close to 11pm) there were none left. We also rented a car and were able to easily park it in the ... Read more

The location can't be beat, you are in the center of everything in the city. The room was very clean, staff pleasant and friendly but the public areas are weathered.......a lot of stains on the carpets, chipped walls and so on. They have a nice coffee station in the lobby which was great when you are waiting to check out. I can't say I would not stay again but it looks like they have hosted one hockey team too many.....

Second time in Halifax for personal reasons and had to use my Air Miles due to circumstances. I was VERY pleased and enjoyed the Four Points Sheraton, staff and restaurant. Bed and room in general was very comfy and happy to be there. If you bypass maid service you get a $5 voucher every full day you are there that can be used for the restaurant, bar or munchies in lobby. Wednesdays they have a free BBQ (finger foods) in lobby for guests ... very nice. Close to harbour, restaurants a... Read more

This property is exactly what is claims to be, and lies as a comfortable, mid-range hotel in a fine location in the city. The Four Points brand is not one that will set one's pulse racing. It is, however, new, well constructed, decently decorated and well plumbed. The restaurant, a co-operative arrangement with an independent chain, is OK, but there are many fine options within walking distance. As with everywhere else I have found in Nova Scotia, the service is friendly and warm; would this... Read more

We had to leave prematurely as there were too many problems with the hotel. The first night it came to my attention that the A/C wasn't working properly, they came and jerry rigged it and said to hope for the best, that is unacceptable. I had originally booked another chain hotel I stay with often for my quick trip to Halifax, but when my Daughter's sports team was booked at the Sheraton, I found it easier to change my reservation from the other hotel and stay here to be closer. Four Points by Sheraton are usually average hotels (not upscale like the regular Sheraton chain), so I knew that going in. Stayed here last week with my mom. We were in town as she had a meeting on Wednesday at the IWK. Not entirely sure what to say here. I am at the tail end of my stay at present. I was struck by the lack of distinction (don't quite know how to refer to it) of this facility. the cafe/snack/store is woefully inadequate, as is the experience of this facility - call me a hotel snob. I have stayed here on two trips over the past 5 months. The staff have been amazing both times. The hotel is in a need of bit of a freshen up especially in the halls as the carpets look dirty. I am so irritated with this hotel that I am writing this as I lay here at 3am kept awake by senseless rustling about in the hall. So disappointed. Came into the city, as I do once or twice a month and decided to stay somewhere new. Also brought a friend along who needed a night away. We shopped until about 6pm when we decided to head to the hotel. There was nowhere at all to pull up to check in.. whatever.. we circled around and I found a spot after 5 minutes.
