This is a 3-star hotel w/ standard room that would cost you $130 anywhere else. Site is 1 km from University of Guelph, a very nice campus. HI asked $192, tax & breakfast included. They are able to command this price because local economy is quite good, that's why I was in town. Wifi works OK -- a necessity for business travel. In spite of exterior "mod" facelift, room interiors are v/ old (25 years). My allergies were acting up, it may or not have been something in the room. For thi... Read more

Returned here just recently for a two day professional seminar and enjoyed every minute of my stay even more than the previous business trip a few years back. The bar is bright and airy along side the dining room with great food and drinks. I particularly enjoy the hot sauna along with the pool. Sauna interior needs a facelift but at least it is hot. Hope to return soon just for pleasure and to explore the area.

Large balcony is tyre, but not lovely. Looking into the interior of hotel, dining area and pool. No real daylight coming into this room. Bed was a double and very hard. Stay in Guelph quite bit and always stay elsewhere. I decided to give this hotel a try and was pleasantly surprised. I was upgraded to a suite on the 5th floor which was very nice. Loads of room and very clean. My iron was not working and they had a replacement up to me within 10 minutes. What really sets this hotel apart was the people, check in was very quick and friendly and the service at breakfast was exceptional. I will be back!!~

Fantastic guest experience. I don??t know if I have had a more pleasant experience. In this day and age of watching costs and expenses, it was pleasantly surprising to actually be treated like a valued customer. The so many little things that were done were truly appreciated. It is difficult to create a staff culture of caring and kindness that puts the guest experience first and foremost. Your team has mastered it. I will not hesitate to refer clients, colleagues or customers.

We stayed here, because wedding reception was located here. The room we stayed in was ok size with a very small bathroom . The view from sliding door was the hotel lobby and pool, not nice. The bar was small and only was open until 9pm on a Friday night. I was hoping could just stay and enjoy evening at hotel without going out, not happening here. For the wedding we had issue that we had to be quiet if we went out to bathroom from the wedding reception. They had a security guard to enfor... Read more

Stayed here with our pets while attending an event at the hotel. The hotel is nicely maintained and has large rooms making it easy to set up a crate for your stay with pets. The staff was friendly and helpful during our stay. Rooms on the west side of the building face out onto the pool and lobby area so would not be ideal if you wanted complete quiet. The inside of the hotel in the lobby/atrium area looks lovely, with high ceilings and lots of light, but appearances are deceiving as the rest of the hotel does not live up to that bright and beautiful space.
