We were traveling between Alberta and BC. This hotel is just off the highway. We have a dog. We were put into a room at the back with a spectacular mountain view. The room was very clean, and the beds very comfortable. We were able to pick up refreshments close by, and ordered take out. I wanted to try the hotel restaurant, but we were going to be eating our free breakfast there. Breakfast was fine. All in All a bargain. I didn't go see the pool but heard it was quite nice. Stayed one night, on the road. Hotel is new, and had convenient ground floor access to rooms like motels. Rooms clean and large, with tub. Also hot tub on site. Restaurant looked inviting, esp the bar, but it turned into a hassle: the menu listed various sides included with the mains... except half of the mains did not include sides I later discovered. The staffer who waited on me seemed either new or at her job; perhaps both. Didn't know the menu well, had to ask the cook for deviations on side... Read more

The room was cozy, clean, and more than adequate for our needs. Our family felt very comfortable and slept well. The beds were amazing. As usual, the complimentary breakfast including everything from fruit to waffles and eggs was wonderful. The hosts were super accommodating, even making us a pizza at 9:45 pm. Pet friendly is also something important to us, as our dog goes everywhere with us. They also have a nice outdoor area for pictures of the amazing scenery where you can relax and eat... Read more

Very impressed with the Days Inn Golden. Check in was swift and the desk staff friendly. We stayed in room 201 on the ground floor, didn't hear much noise from upstairs which was a bonus. The most important things in a hotel room are the beds abd the shower and the Days Inn didn't disappoint. Super comfortable bed, soft pillows and a great shower. We arrived at Days Inn after a long day of driving. We were given a room looking south over a deep valley with the spectacular Rocky Mountains in the background. They whole-heartedly welcome pets and do not assign you to a sub-standard room for having your pets with you unlike other hotels. We were impressed by the cleanliness, the spaciousness of our room, the views from our window, the fun of the swimming pool and hot tub. Breakfast wasn't very good quality, very pre-packaged, pretty disappointing, but that was our only complaint. There is a bar and patio which are pleasant after a day of driving. It seems like this is a family-run business, and they are very pleasant people. Overall, good value for your money.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in one of the lower floor rooms. The room was very dirty and in a bad state of repair especially the bathroom. The wall behind the toilet was damaged at some point and had putty slapped on it, but not finished or painted. The ceiling in the bathroom also had the same type of haphazard repair work done to it. The bathroom also smelled badly of urine. We tried to switch rooms, but the front desk agent was happy to tell me with a smile that they had a "full hous... Read more

I think this used to be a motel before, but is now a Days Inn hotel. The accommodation is located on ground and first floors, with an outside external walkway on the first floor. There are no lifts to the first floor so you have to haul your luggage up a flight of wooden steps which looked slightly feeble We didn't try out the pool, it was small and very crowded. This hotel is a bit older than other Days Inn but it was a good hotel. It includes breakfast which consisted of toast, bagels etc. plus cereal, and a few hot dishes. It is a bit out of Golden up on the hill, not right in the town. We stayed only one night passing through. It's modern enough...not a hotel though - it's actually a motel which surprised us a bit. Room was clean and tidy except for the air conditioner...why does no one ever clean those vent filters? Opted for an open window instead (curtains need cleaning more often). It was a comfortable and affordable stay there were no issues during our two night stay at this hotel. There restaurant and breakfast was excellent. Great service deliveries by the front desk. Above all we will definitely stay here again when we return to our home town in the golden. Thank you very much.

Stayed here one night, bottom floor, with mountain view across the parking lot. Nice sized in-room refrigerator, good wi-fi. Double queen was spacious and perfectly comfortable. Truthfully, this was mainly just a place to lay our tired heads during a road trip through the Rockies. Convenient for enjoying the nearby parks, and I'd stay here again to do so. Restaurant on site was also fine, with a nice outdoor seating area. Friendly staff.

This is a perfect place to base your adventures in the Canadian Rockies. The Days Inn is a very economical housing option relatively speaking (US $175 per night) that is in a great location. We paid extra for the kitchen that is behind a locked door in your room. Itâ??s very small like a small walk in closet but does have a nice sized sink, medium sized range and oven, good size fridge, microwave and a tiny bit of counter space. There is a small compliment of kitchen stuff.plates, pans, etc. We... We drove under a heavy rain for 8 hours and were happy to approach Golden where we had made reservations. We were very tired and unfortunately we could not get to the hotel because of a mud slide on the road. So we had to drive back down the road and look for a place to stay. It was not easy because every hotel was full. We called AARP to tell them we couldn't make it and asked if we could get a refund. Days Inn refused to do so, knowing very well about the mud slide. Thank you Days Inn......

Service was excellent at the front desk and the restaurant which is also much less expensive than the restaurants in town. Perfect place for a stopover. Room was modern with a a small kitchenette. The outside fireplace and licensed patio provides a relaxing way to wind down after a long drive.

We stopped there on our way to the Rockies and it was OK. Allthough it is next to the Highway, it was not noisy. Great outlook to the valley and a fun pool for Kids. Breakfast was average and they have one way plates, spoons, forks and knives, so a lot of extra garbage.

Overall it was a good stay. I bit pricy for a Days Inn however it is summer. The pool was a little cold and that was said by a couple people that we where also taking with. Kids loved the waterslide. Room was clean and beds are comfy. Staff is friendly and the morning complimentary breakfast is great. Eggs, sausage, toast, pancakes, hot and cold beverages. The rate was comparable when booked directly or even look here on Trip Advisor. Would stay here again and would recommend. Cheers

We were wanting to stay near Yoho National Park and booked this because it was pet friendly. Unfortunately they only had double (two beds) rooms available that were pet friendly so it was much more expensive than what we needed. The room itself was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The breakfast was barely passable (soggy sausage, defrosted eggo waffles) but the coffee was surprisingly good!

The room was clean enough and the toilet had issues but the room did what we needed for a nights stay. The free breakfast was nice, a little crowd but we found a place to sit. Overall it was a little over priced for what you get.

The first room smelt wet & mouldy. Luckily we were able to be moved to a front facing room near our friends. 'Breakfast included' in our room rate was continental breakfast, very limited selection, on paper plates, paper cups & plastic cutlery dispenser!!! Charged the highest amount of taxes out of 8 hotels in BC/Alberta. This room rate was up there considering... Also, Reception couldn't assist with any info on the local area. Don't stay here!

We stayed here during our vacation last month and I must say I was quite impressed with the staff service. They went out of their way to help us whenever needed. We were given a warm welcome and when we inquired about places to see in Golden, the front desk staff gave us a detailed map of everything around town including brochures. They assisted us very well with any information we asked. The rooms were neat & clean. Well maintained. Comfortable beds. The pillows were a bit fluffy but the front... Read more

We had just an okay stay in this hotel. On the bright side, the bed was reasonably comfortable and the place was clean. But there were a lot of negatives: the toilet needed plunging, the bathtub backed up during our showers, the wifi didn't work for more than 20 seconds at a time, and the kitchen was very poorly equipped. As we were going out for the day, I phoned and left a message about the toilet and bathtub. Nothing was done by the end of the day, so I asked about it at the front desk. They ... Read more

The hotel is easy to get to. The room was clean and reasonable priced. The pool was clean and since i went around 9PM there wasn't that many people in the pool. Just some young boys, who stayed on their side of pool. The restaurant (dinner) was actually pretty good. Really enjoyed our waitress. Their free breakfast is pretty standard and nothing special. Pretty typical Days Inn.

When I first walked into the room I felt it was grungy. It realy wasn't too bad, it just felt bad. After a close look - I see it needs a reno badly, unless the rpice drops below $100. Spent one night here and the building is new, the staff attentive and the room was fine. Comfy bed, good wifi, fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The room was neat and clean. Added bonus is the inside pool with a water slide -the room was a bit cool for me but for Canadians who are used to the cold it must have been balmy. This is an older motel that has become part of the Days chain and has undergone significant renovations. Renovations have resulted in a clean, pleasant environment. The thing that is most amazing is how sound proof the rooms are considering the number of lorries on the steep hill beside it. This is the Trans-Canada Highway, so there are plenty. We were not disturbed at all by them. The room was a reasonable size and the bed was comfortable. We could have used a suitcase holder in our room. The f... Read more

Bit of a hike into town (great big hill) and there's not much nearby for dining. But the lobby is new and immaculate, rooms are large and mine backed out on the valley/mountains. $20 pet charge. Breakfast was ok so far as motel breakfasts are concerned. This is a great place to stay if you're in town on business, or just crashing before some ski turns. Probably not where I'd bring the family for a ski holiday however.
