The building itself needs much updating, the best part of the place is the water and dock. The staff were friendly enough but didn't go out of there way to engage us. We stayed with our family while heading to Nova Scotia, wouldn't stay again.

A great location close to King's Landing. We took the family to the King's Landing Christmas dinner and had an opportunity to check in early enough so that the grandkids had a chance to enjoy time in the pool before we went for dinner. My wife and I have stayed here a number of times over the years and have always enjoyed our stay. The place is getting a bit dated and could use some paint and touch ups but still a great value in the Frederiction area.

Over Christmas (Dec 25/26th 2015) we had a family reunion planned at the resort and while my wife's family live close by, we had to book three rooms for ourselves. While the facility is somewhat dated, the professionalism and friendliness of the staff more than made up for any shortcomings. We had booked a conference room on Boxing Day for a get together of around 30 family members and as my wife was organizing games for the children, the manager of the day had suggestions and assisted my wife... When I was searching for reception venue The Riverside Inn wasn't at the top of the list but after the first meeting with the staff and walk-around of the grounds my husband and I fell in love with the venue. We are so very happy we chose the Riverside Inn for our wedding. The staff are wonderful, friendly and professional. They were able to accommodate many of our requests from making our own menu (buffet BBQ food, with s'mores and banana boats all gluten and dairy free), and ordering in speci... Read more

Sure the scenery is nice and the staff at the desk are too but over than that - do not waste your money! The hall ways were discusting and not vacuumed in weeks! There were tree branches in the hall ways even! (Wow) the pool is out dated and filthy. I wouldn't even send a dog swimming here. The stairways had holes in the wall patched up..the room was out of this world. Very dirty and the beds are from the 80's. The breakfast even is not Included. For 89 a night you may as well go closer to town... Read more

I had a great experience at this location!! I had my wedding there on July 16th, however I had family and friends stay a few nights before this date and after and the service was excellent. My big day was a success and the staff were extremely accommodating and answered/assisted me with all of my questions! I could not have imagined a better day and the grounds are so beautiful. The suite I was in was terrific, it was so spacious that all my girls were able to get ready in the room and the make ... Read more

Though beautifully located with the river behind, the place needs a big overhaul and upgrade. The receptionist said 'rustic' and it is. It was tidy and clean..just needs some TLC. Price was fantastic and Fredericton is 15 minutes away. Great stop on way do east

As an overnight, en route pit stop it was adequate. We stayed for the cheap price. This place has so much potential to be outstanding, it's a bit of a shame. It needs a serious reno. The area and grounds are truly gorgeous. However, the owners need to show some pride and get this place up to date.

We planned a family getaway for a week and we thoroughly enjoyed !! The place is beautiful, serene and tranquil on the river. The staff was very nice and went out of way to help us out. The rooms are spacious and neat. Overall it was beautiful experience and we made lifetime memories with the family.

We stayed one night en route to PEI. We enjoyed the pool with the kids. Had it to ourselves! Price was right at $88/night and the circa 1990s decor was no worse than staying at my parents place and it was clean and bright. Playground for the kids is great! We'd stay again.

We stayed at the Riverside Resort and Conference Center for one night as a stopover on the way to Cape Breton. We arrived late at a few minutes after 10pm and on arrival, the receptionist seemed uninterested. However, she did offer to ask the chef if he could whip us something up to eat since there was no place nearby to eat and the restaurant had just closed at 10pm. I should've realized something wasn't quite right when she got into an argument with whoever answered the phone in the kitchen... Read more

The previous reviews are very accurate. It's a nice place but the Hotel itself is old and is not in the best state. If you are there for 1 night it's acceptable. The staff was very helpful and the restaurants are also pretty good.

We stayed here for one night during our transit from Nova Scotia to Ottawa. We were blown out with the service and the location of this resort and decided to stay here whenever we visit New Brunswick next. I would definitely recommend this place for your stay.

We booked this place on our Atlantic Canada driving tour this past July 2016. The promotional photos and marketing made this place look a lot nicer than it actually was. This resort is old, dated in its decor, and needs updating badly. Our room was nice and big, but again, very dated. This place is called a resort, but it does not have a resort feel at all. Not only are the rooms dated, but the lobby and restaurant also. On the positive side of things, the staff were very friendly and helpful ... Read more

This is one of my favorite spots. It is located on the beautiful Saint John River, adjacent to the Mactaquac Dam and equal distance from both Woolastook and Mactaquac Park campgrounds. It offers a friendly environment with quality home style cooking along with some tasty variations to local favorites. The staff is super friendly and location is perfect for business meetings, family functions or special events. It is also accessible from the water and has complete docking facilities.

Wow. Old tired mess. No automatic doors...what hotel these days has no automatic doors...says wheel chair accessible. My husband has a crushed foot...this was not easy at all. Sure it's not a great idea to travel with an injury but it was needed. So I finally get to the reception where booking in was great very easy. I was looking forward to the hot tub and said to the receptionist...oh I see you have a hot tub! She says yeah we do but it's old..oh my I thought. The room was fine I guess but di... Read more

greeted by a poorly lit parking lot, uneven walkways and unleveled entryway, we made our way into this outdated venue, to our room where the keys didn't work. the dining room seats ere uncomfortably low, albeit wide. and the food was over cooked (my rare steak was well done) and clearly things are coming out of bags and cans, not fresh at all... but the prices are high enough to fool you into thinking you're ordering quality. the venue is understaffed, so expect to wait for everything. our d... This is a full-service hotel and conference centre, set on the banks of the St. John river. The onsite restaurant serves excellent food, and the servers are friendly and efficient. Front desk staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs. Although the building is ageing somewhat, it was built to very high standards and still gives an upscale feel. We enjoyed our stay, and booked ourselves in for a second night.

The building is a little older. As pointed out by a other review there are no automatic doors. The rooms were clean but the wallpaper was damaged, bathtub was stained and some tiles were cracked. The pool was cooler than I would've liked it. We didn't stay in long and my five year old found it chilly. The hot tub was a hot mess. The Jets don't work, the paint and enamel was coming off in chunks. The view and grounds are beautiful though and the desk staff was friendly. We went to the dinning ... Read more

The building needs some TLC, but our room was lovely (top floor), the staff super friendly, and the grounds beautiful for a nice stroll. We stayed for 4 days just to have a little break and it was perfect for us - in every respect. Well priced, super clean and again, the staff were great.

This was one of the worst places we've ever stayed. We went there for a ringette tournament with kids aged 7 to 12. Girls. Right off the bat, the staff was very curt with the check in. The clerk informed me only 2 breakfasts were included in our room so we had to buy 2 more for each day we were there!! This cost an additional $12 per day. Got to our room and there was no bar fridge. The room was ok...so I went to the desk and asked to have a bar fridge. The front desk lady told me they are all b... Read more
