Chose the Hilton Garden Inn for it's location. It is literally 3 minutes from Halifax Airport but you miss the airport ramps etc. We heard NO planes or traffic. Beds were comfortable and they have a bar open until 11:00pm and a full restaurant open till 10:00pm, so if you arrive back hunger you can snack or have a full meal. It was a good experience.

We had a one night stay at Hilton Garden Inn hotel. The hotel was clean and comfortable with nice and responsive staff. Comfortable bed and pillows, a coffee maker in the room was very convenient. I would have rated it "Excellent" if the Air conditioning unit wasn't as noisy in my room. Otherwise it was great.

Pros: clean, looks nice, close to airport Cons: in the middle of nowhere, no grocery, restaurants close by. Food at the restaurant is horrible!!! Staff: It was our Anniversary and my husband went down got nachos and a slice of cake for a late night snack. Cake was ok, but nachos were horrible!! Not edible, cold, just gross. He got it just before they closed, and I had to put a toddler to bed so I thought I'd call front desk the next day. His bill was $30 for nachos and a cake!! He didn't ta... Read more

Very clean and comfortable . Despite being a short drive or shuttle to the airport there was no noise form the airport or anywhere else. There are no other restaurants close by so we had supper and breakfast at the hotel. Both meals were fresh, well prepared and very good. Service at the front desk and restaurant was excellent. Would stay here again.

The Hilton Garden Inn at the Halifax Airport was a great place to stay the night before flying out early the next morning. The room was spacious and spotless. We actually ate both dinner and breakfast in the hotel (not a lot of choices nearby) and were pleasantly surprised at the level of quality and personal attention we received. We would be happy to stay here again.

Stayed at the Hilton because of an early morning return flight home. The hotel is conveniently located, comfortable and the staff were fantastic. The only (minor) downfall is that the restaurant menu is a little bit limited. As this is the only place to eat in the immediate area, you might want to check out your options. The room was very comfortable however and the staff ensured that we were up and ready to catch our shuttle at o'dark stupid. Thank you Hilton, we'll be back!

I recently stayed here on my last night in Canada - unfortunately due to a very early flight I was not there long enough to take full advantage of this fantastic hotel, but I would totally recommend this place. The room with two wonderfully comfortable beds was well appointed, reception staff were very efficient and welcoming and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

We arrived early for a tour of Nova Scotia. The free shuttle from Stansfield to The Hilton also includes the shuttle to Holiday Inn Express - do not miss the shuttle by not knowing - the signs on the shuttle get confusing. The Hilton is supreme in service and in offering guests options upon options. Since we were early we took the shuttle from the Main Street at the side of the hotel - the bus stop is marked #320 into Halifax. Great; Great; Great.... Great hotel with a great restaurant and a great parking choice. Because we can park for weeks at a time it allows us to drive ourselves out to the Airport. Had a wonderful stay at this Hilton in Halifax. I chose it due to it's close proximity to the airport. I needed to drop off my rental car the last day and get on a flight so being this close made the logistics possible. Had a wonderful breakfast and probably the best Egg's Benedict I have ever tasted! Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet rooms with comfortable beds. Rapid digital check-in with no issues at the front desk and they even allowed me to check in hours early.

This is a typical Hilton airport hotel and that's good because there were no surprises. You can always anticipate a clean, modern and comfortable stay. Of course there is nothing to do around the hotel, but we chose it for our final night in Nova Scotia solely because of its proximity to the airport. It cost a little more than I would have liked, but it was delightful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the staff was lovely. There is a shuttle that picked up us at the airport. We generally like staying at Hilton Garden Inns. They are usually new, in great condition, very clean and have good restaurants. This location followed that pattern as well. We generally everything acceptable during our stay except for the bouncy, hollow style mattress. It a silly thing to skimp on as the mattress determines the quality of sleep. Except for the mattress we had a nice stay.

I had requested a feather free room and had even called a few days prior to make sure that there were no feathers due to allergies. Unfortunately, there was a feather pillow o... Read more

We only spent one night but we used their shuttle service from the airport and it was very timely. We then had breakfast with our travel group and it was a buffet and well done. We would stay there again.

Located about 4 km from Halifax Stanfield International Airport and 30 km (18.5 miles) from downtown Halifax, the Hilton Garden Inn is ideally situated for exploring the city and environs. It should be noted that due to the distances, it is best that one have personal transportation to reach the city and surrounding sights. The hotel is comfortable, with nicely appointed rooms and an easily accessible public area at the front of the hotel. It is laid out in the typical Hilton Garden Inn floorp... Read more

Lovely rooms with comfortable beds & especially the pillows. While I was flying out for only a couple of days, I was surprised that I could park at the hotel for free. Staff is very friendly :) I will definitely return.

This is a typical Hilton, meaning the rooms are nicely decorated and the beds are comfortable. We stayed at this hotel to ensure that we were ready to start the security screening on time for an early flight rather than drive 2 hours in the dark. This is not a destination hotel - I suspect many or most of the hotel's guests are simply looking for a way to take some of the drama out of flying. While checking in the evening before, however, the clerk initially said that there was no reservation... Read more

When I plug it as average, this is not to say it was bad at all. It is just your average Hilton at the airport, which is certainly better than many others. However, they ought not get credit for being merely an average Hilton at the airport. I can give them credit for a decent restaurant operation, which is good as this is the ONLY place to eat around here. Breakfast is actually good (try to get a B&B rate), and dinner (while unimaginative) is solid if a but boring. Staff is nice, especiall... Read more

Nice stay with very good rooms! Staff was very friendly. Beds are comfortable. Eggs Benedict for breakfast was excellent. Was a good stay. Easy bus transportation to downtown Halifax! Nice snacks of cookies upon check in..

Great place to stay close to the airport. Good restaurant! Breakfast is not complimentary--but items from the kitchen are well worth the price. I had the pancakes and bacon. They brought around 6 pieces of bacon and more pancakes than I could eat! My husband had the omelet--again was delicious. For dinner he had the stirfry and I had a seafood pasta--both were scrumptious.

We had great service, the room and beds are very comfortable, spacious and there's a fridge and microwave.Close to the airport was important and their shuttle service was great at 4 AM! and we can park the car while we're away. Dinner was very basic and average which was a little disappointing as we had hoped for a nice meal after we were settled in. But we consistently use this hotel when flying as it has always been great.

Location us in the middle of nowhere with nothing to see or do.local metro bus does come by for a pickup at certain time to take you downtown. Rooms are good. Food us average. Gary and Chelsie provide excellent customer service. Other staff need training on providing customer service. If you need a good one night stay close to the airport, this hotel would work.

Good location for a stay before an early morning flight. Shuttle service to the airport operates 24 hours. We left our car in the parking lot for 2 days using the "park stay & go" rate. Restaurant on site.

Very nice, large modern room. Fully-equipped, clean and tidy. 24 hour free shuttle to airport. I was disappointed in that the hotel advertised free breakfast, but did not provide any free breakfast for guests who had to leave very early to catch a plane. I have seen other airport accomodations which provide a free do-it-yourself simple breakfast (e.g., cereal, fruit, jogurt, coffee, pastries); and I don't see why this isn't offered when a hotel advertises free breakfast.

This is a repeat visit for us when traveling through Halifax Airport. Hotel employees are professional and friendly, restaurant food is excellent, and rooms are modern and well-maintained with lots of amenities. This is our lodging choice whenever traveling through Halifax and we'll be back soon.

I've been staying at this hotel for the last 60 days. It's quite comfortable here. the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is well appointed. The restaurant staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Shala, Paulette, Chelsey, Emma and Mike were great. They were the ones I dealt with the most but I'm sure the rest of the staff were equally great. The pool is nice as well as the gym. I find it great that this hotel also has laundry facilities, they were put to good use over a 6... Read more

Absolutely no complaints regarding the hotel itself. Everything you would want. Nice room, friendly, efficient staff, good restaurant, wi-fi, parking, etc. Very convenient to airport and has continual shuttle service. The only downside, (common to all airport hotels), if you are a tourist, there isn't much around it. We solved that by finding a cheap rental car at the airport and used the Hilton shuttle to pick it up and drop it off. Worked great the three days we were there.

Same great service as one would expect from a Hilton. Would stay again. Close to the airport. Clean rooms. Newspaper in the morning. Easy check in and check out. Free internet access and business centre to print boarding passes. Only downfall is that it's a bit expensive considering how far outside the city centre it is located.

The location is great about 5 minutes from airport/car rental return and this is why we opted to stay at the property. Check-in was smooth and pleasant. It was efficient though there was nothing above and beyond in the customer service approach. The room was good and some of the furniture could use some updating as it's seen it's fair share of us. Bathroom: Toiletries were quality, toilet paper was soft, and there were plenty of towels. Parking is in a lot and included at no cost. Breakfast ... Read more

As always I was satisfied with my stay at the Hilton. Staff was friendly and service was impeccable. I had forgotten some hair products and was happy to know that there was plenty of grooming supplies available to me at the Hotel. The pool did seem a bit small but understand as this hotel was close to the airport and is probably used mostly for business verses pleasure stays. I was also pleased to have hit coffee available to me In the lobby as I had a very early morning. Thanks to everyone at t... Read more

Late night arrival handled with ease ... Great to come home to ... After long plane ride it was gratifying to have such a smooth check in and be able to sink in to very comfortable beds. Not having WI-FI available for a few hours seemed inconsequential. Would be nice to have a an indoor pool sometime. A little hard to find, but well worth the effort. Great Staff, great breakfasts ...great Hospitality
