We asked for 2 extra towels to be brought up to our room while we were in the pool . As we were returning to our room I could see something on the floor by our room. There were the towels we ordered ! They were on the floor in the hallway! Gross! On our second day the TV stopped working so I called the front desk and they sent someone from maintenance to have a look. He tried to fix the problem but finally decided that we needed a new receiver. After waiting a bit he came back with another rece... Read more

The Hampton Inn in Dartmouth crossing was a lovely hotel and it was located in a great area. Staff were friendly, nice pool with slide, free breakfast, comfy beds so everything was great except for the AC in the room. It is not a central system and the one in my room didn't work properly. I had it serviced by maintenance but it only worked for a few minutes after he left. I asked for another room where the AC was cold but I was told it was the same in every room. We usually love staying at the Hampton in Dartmouth Crossing due to its proximity to shopping, cinema and restaurants within a stones throw from the hotel. My husband stays here on business trips and rarely has a bad stay. This time we stayed on the weekend where many families presumably on a hockey tournament were staying. I'm all for families but the hotel was a zoo with wild children who do not know how to behave in public and parents who seemed to not care. I especially loved the 8am ... Read more

Awesome hotel with fantastic staff and wonderful rooms! We only stay at Hampton Inn and Suites if they are available!!! Clean rooms, lots of space, very updated, pools are awesome for kids. Our children especially like the breakfast room in the morning where they can make their own waffles (with our help of course)! Amazing family hotel!

Not ideal for a romantic get-a-way. The noise in the hallway from children running up and down late at night was irritating, to say the least. The room didn't have the wet bar as advertised on the hotel's website, I suppose that would explain why there were only paper cups available. Also, bottle water was not included. We will not be returning. We should have stuck with Inn on the Lake...we always enjoy romantic get-a-ways when we visit there.

Clean, friendly enough staff, priced competitively with average breakfast. So if average is what you are looking for, then this place is for you. It's easy to access both Dartmouth and Halifax from this location. My only criticism was the breakfast, which was served buffet style as is typical. This hotel is popular with families on vacation, kids' sports teams, tourists, and business travellers so it's always busy, but was especially busy this week. I also saw about 6 dogs while sitting in the lobby. The breakfast is good, especially the fresh fruit (pineapple, cantaloupe, and grapefruit). I was happy to see they use paper plates and bowls now instead of styrofoam. I always cringed at the garbage cans overflowing with disposal styrofoam.

We stopped at Hampton Inn for two nights before departing Halifax by air. We chose Hampton because easy airport access, and free parking. The Inn well position in Dartmouth Crossing, although the shopping precinct is a bit of a ghost town. The Inn itself was exceptionally clean, with all required facilities. Help yourself breakfast being an excellent first experience for us. Swimming pool, gym and laudrymat all good facilities. The only downside was the lack of a bar for the end of day social d... I've stayed at this hotel many times and find the staff to be very friendly and the rooms are well cleaned. I usually like the little notes left by the cleaning staff every day; however they did not do that this time. The internet connection could have been better in that it could stay connected during the entire stay rather than having to log on every day. I will likely stay there again in the future as it is very conveniently located and I enjoy their complimentary breakfast in the morning.

Great dining and shopping a few steps away; quick route to the middle of Dartmouth - quick trip across the bridge to HFX.... Staff are awesome - they remember you from one visit to the next and everyone always seem to be enjoying their job Great breakfast buffet ! And the pool and fitness room are clean and well maintained. Love this hotel and wouldn't stay anywhere else.

We spent a night here on a 23 day road trip. Where this property fell short was the room. It was a king suite, The way it was set up, the couch was near the air conditioner unit so it was very cold. Also, the couch was rather uncomfortable. The bed was in the other part of the room and somewhat warm.

I stayed at this hotel for a week at the end of July 2016. This hotel is located in Dartmouth Crossing, a shopping paradise! You can walk to some stores from the hotel, but others are farther away so a car would help. Dartmouth Crossing is a bit of a drive from Halifax so if you are intending on visiting Halifax a lot, better off staying closer to the city. The lobby of this hotel is quite nice ā?? large and nicely decorated. They have laundry facilities, a gym and pool. I didnā??t use t... Read more

We have stayed at hampton in moncton and fredericton and these locations far exceeded this one. Our carpet was stained and the room has no fridge! The tv was so small we couldn't barely see it. Other locations offer a tub with the king this one didn't. Also no water or beer offered at check it- different then other locations . Staff were also not as friendly.

We decided to stay here on the eve of Canada Day with my family as it was very pricey to get hotels in Halifax. The location was great with lots of restaurant options in walking distance or short drive, Highways to the bridges to Halifax are also close. The hotel has a nice indoor water slide and pool and the kids were taking good advantage of it in the morning before touring Halifax. Breakfast and room were good and we slept well in our nice and quiet rooms.

Breakfast if free and above average. The local restaurants are very good and great service.

The hotel has a great location on the Dartmouth side of the harbour. Terrific staff who work hard to resolve the occasional problem with loud noise from teams staying at the hotel. This hotel tends to be my default place to stay when I a visit the HRM. The free parking, indoor pool, breakfast and nearby food / entertainment choices make this an ideal place to stay at.

Stayed here for 4 nights. Staff are very friendly and professional. Room was clean and fairly large. Television had tons of stations which was nice. The breakfast buffet was okay. Typical buffet when you are trying to feed 100 people. By the 3rd morning I was tired of the food and went to Tim's. The only real negative is plastic glasses in the room and everywhere. Put actual glass in the rooms. Location you cannot beat with so many restaurants and shopping near by.
