This is a well situated hotel outside Charlottetown close to the industrial park. The Express formula is beautifully executed by the local operator. BUT, Friday evening was a night I won't forget nor repeat. The hotel staff did nothing to cure the problem of 20 or so unruly kids charging up and down my hallway. Its 5:30 am on Saturday morning and it has started again. I know that motels / hotels in the Maritimes ban visiting sports teams from their property because of the complete lack of r... Read more

The staff is always very friendly and greet you with a 'Hello' and a smile as soon as you walk in. As soon as you're checked in, you're offered a complementary drink as you head off you your room to get settled in. They're very accommodating and willing to assist with any questions. Breakfast was a typical Express starter, but staffed by smiling folks who made it pleasant. Short drive to downtown and located right on Hwy 1, easy access when we returned eac... Read more

We stayed for two nights May 17 & 18, there were fresh cookies at 3:00, at 5:00 soup was put out and 7:00 popcorn. Upon arrival a welcome drink is offered. Jenna, manager also booked our rooms for Fredricton so we didn't have to worry about looking for somewhere to stay while travelling on a long weekend. Sad. - Bed was not comfortable (soft and bowed to the middle) - 5am sunrise ... you will know it is early because the curtains are useless - WIFI: 55-65MBPS ... seriously???? This is a standard Holiday Inn Express. It appears a little aged, but it is in very good shape. It is located outside of the town centre so one needs a cab or a car to get around. The room had a good size and was nice and clean. The WiFi is free and most of the time the speed was ok. There is a free breakfast buffet with the usual choices. A little downside to it is, and that is true for all Holiday Inn Express hotels, that plates and cutlery are all disposable. The front desk staff were very fr... Read more

I have stayed at this hotel a number of times when in Charlottetown on business. It is past time for a renovation. Rooms tend to smell stale - like old cigarettes even though it is a non smoking hotel. The service is great. Can't complain there. Just the place needs a freshening up.

We arrived Friday night to a warm reception, we found the hotel quiet even thought it was full both nights that we were there. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Hotel staff was very pleasant and the hot breakfast was second to none, they keep everything fresh and were on top of anything that needed to be topped up. Our stay was very enjoyable. You won't be disappointed.

This hotel is top notch for a Holiday Inn Express. The lobby area is very comfortable and the breakfast is superb. There is also an indoor pool that's a real treat even in the fall. There. Is a nice excerise room on the first floor with nice equiptment. The rooms are very spacious and quiet...

This hotel is old but has been refurbished. The lobby it beautiful and the hotel is spotless. The front desk young lady, Marjorie, is an asset to any hotel. Pleasant, personable and courteous. Our room apparently was next to the laundry. Sounded like a jet engine taking off. The door to the outside entrance had a three inch lip that is a fall hazard.

I booked the Holiday Inn Express for its price (great price!!), but am reviewing it because it is a great hotel! Even greater because of the great price. Our room was very comfortable, quiet, and very, very clean and the breakfast was outstanding! We stayed two nights and wish we could have stayed longer. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel!

As hotels go this one is truly a bore. The rooms were small and cramped, beds were less than average, linens thin, but clean, needs a bit of an overhaul in bathrooms. The breakfast was substandard comparatively. While housekeeping was late in making up rooms, the staff, however were very accommodating and energetic. The price is right, but if you are looking for something a bit more classy and comfortable, look elsewhere. The location was not too bad, but if you do not have transportation it is ... Read more

We stayed earlier this month and although it's nothing fancy, the hotel is clean and does the trick for comfort and it's close to everything. The pool was great but the jets in the hot tub didn't work. The continental breakfast was sufficient however I searched for a vending machine for like 15 mins following the signs and finding none. Not sure if there are none but they should remove the signs if they have been removed.

I stayed at this location for an away game for soccer. The next day I had to leave in a hurry to go to my soccer game which was 20 mins away. I accidentally left my laptop in the room without knowing. They were kind enough to find the laptop and DELIVER it to the field for me. I had no clue I had forgotten it until they delivered it. This was a huge life saver as it has literally all my work on it that I needed for the following day (monday). For this act alone, they have earned my future busine... Read more

This hotel was excellent. It was placed perfectly on the highway by the new build of business activity in Charlottetown. This hotel had its own charm and hospitality. Wednesday Thursday we had the most delicious soup prepared by the hotel just help yourself. Some nights popcorn and cookies and beverages too. These nights vary but make you feel ever so welcome to this hotel. The rooms were very nice and at this stop we also used the guest laundry which was clean and neat. There is always e... Read more

I have stayed at this hotel a number of times and never reviewed it. I travel to PEI once a year on business and have started staying at this Hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful and on my last trip they spent a great deal of time helping me find a place to eat. They have nice promotions such as cold beverage upon check in and on my last trip there was hot soup to take the hunger pains off. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the sleep quality is good. Breakfast was friendly an... Read more

The hotel was easy to find and conveniently located if you have a car--it's on a busy main road that would not be pleasant for walking and is a bit on the edge of town. The facility itself is OK, maybe a little outdated--it did not seem like a typical Holiday Inn, maybe it was something else previously. My one big gripe is that the front door does not automatically open, you have to pull it open yourself while loaded down with suitcases and bags, etc. My little gripes are several. The toilet... Hotel served us well on our quick trip to the Island. The staff was delightful. Breakfast was good. We enjoyed the indoor pool but the hot tub jets didn't work. It was a comfortable room with good value.

The Holiday Inn Exress in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, is a great place to stay for a couple of days to explore the island. It is a few miles from the harbor resturant area, an $11 cab fare into town. I have never been disappointed in a HIE hotel and this one met my expectations. The rooms are clean, the property is well maintained and the staff is terrific. Breakfast is always good. Looks ljke a fairly new hotel.
