Great service from the young people who work there. Clean, great beds. The breakfast is average but the service makes up for it. They helped set up tours even though it was off season. They made excellent local recommendations and were very helpful.

This was a really cute boutique hotel. The staff was fantastic, room was nice and the location was great. The breakfast was delicious and they had lactose free options which was great for me. I would definitely go back to this hotel.

Great location within walking distance to downtown. Breakfast items were all very delicious and options provided for vegetarian and gluten free. Everyone was very welcoming and our room was nicely furnished and very spacious. Would suggest putting some chairs and tables outside on the lawn to allow guests the ability to sit outside to enjoy some fresh air and a snack or cocktail.

Like staying in a beautiful apartment with a kitchenette not at all like your typical bed and breakfast room. More like a really nice hotel but with all the ambience of a bed-and-breakfast. Including a fantastic breakfast with choices perfectly cooked. We will be back and it's the place to stay in Charlottesville. And the staff is outstanding.

Located on a quiet street adjacent to downtown C'town, this enormous converted house is a wonderful place to stay. Rooms are spacious, clean, and quiet. My bed was wider than I am tall! Plus, it had a nice seating area, desk, and kitchen. The house also had various seating and social areas, as well as DVDs to borrow. The vibe was very chill and basically felt like a well-appointed college dorm. The breakfast was fantastic, no doubt thanks to graduates of C'town's culinary school. The hotel offer... Read more

Harbour house is a older home nestled amongst other older homes that offer B&B. The staff is excellent and the location couldn't be better. The only downside - the bed and pillows need updating/replacing.

We stayed here four nights. It is a lovely place to stay, despite a few shortcomings. The location is very convenient, close to downtown, but in a very quiet residential street. Our visit got off to a good start, with a warm welcome from the young man on Reception. Throughout our stay, all the staff were polite and friendly. We booked a standard room and it was quite charming, attractively and comfortably furnished and equipped with a flat screen tv and microwave. Everything was very clean a... Read more

Loved our stay. Complementary breakfast was excellent. A must try is the pumpkin bread French toast. The Harbor House is a three-story completely remodeled dwelling. Our room, dining room and seating areas were very nice. Make sure that you find out which floor you're going to be on in case you have difficulty with stairs since there isn't an elevator.

A beautiful boutique hotel in Charlottetown. A perfect location between Queen Street and Victoria Park. We stayed in the West Room (third floor) was large, nicely decorated, comfortable and quiet. There was a kitchenette on the same level, shared by three rooms, as well as a fridge in the room. There was also a balcony off the sitting area on the third floor. The breakfast room was delightful. Besides the continental breakfast you could also choose from several cooked foods, which were del... Read more

Stayed for just the one night as part of a twenty-night East coast tour. Left feeling thankful it was only the one night. The walls were paper thin so that the guy/girl snoring in the room adjacent might well have been in bed with me! The beds were hard too (yes, no doubles available) so I hardly slept a wink. The room was also the smallest I've slept in in North America with an en-suite the size of an English telephone kiosk. The room was seriously dowdy and unloved too, so-much-so that I fo... Read more

Great location for walking in the downtown area, beautifully maintained with an attentive staff, tasty breakfast and located in a lovely setting, both inside and outside. The internet worked well and the television included many stations. I enjoyed every minute!!

We were booked into the Harbour House for one night however on arrival decided to stay for two. The location was percfect within walking distance to everything in Charlotteton. This meant a change of rooms but that wasn't a problem. The staff were friendly and couldn't be more accomodating giving us a quick tour before we got into our room. The first room - room 6 was lovely. It had a small balcony and a small kitchen. The bathroom had a lovely bath and was very clean and tidy. The room we had ... Read more

I stayed at The Harbour House in late June. The inn is very well kept. The room was impeccable with all the comforts I would hope for. Breakfast was delicious and very generous. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely one of my all time favourites.

On arrival staff were very helpful at getting us settled in. We stayed in the basement room which is like a self contained apartment. It had loads of space and was as per the pictures from the website. The only small problem was that some sound from above of people walking around carried below to the room. I didn't have the breakfast but the coffee from the available facilities was lovely. Staff were very eager to help us figure out where to go for food and entertainment in the evening. Location... While the property is beautiful and conveniently located near downtown it has some problems. You will hear every footstep in the room above you. Also while the breakfast room staff was friendly and nice the staff at check-in could hardly be bothered with us. Simply not welcoming, no offer of information and a very grudging offer to carry a bag upstairs. Also we had several families that were staying in the hotel who let there children yell and scream while running in the hallway. No effort w... Read more

Very welcoming and attentive staff members; property is pristine; sufficient parking space; close to downtown Charlottetown; walking distance to Canada's Best Ice Cream (Cow's). Well thought out gourmet breakfast (friendly to Gluten Free, Vegan, Vegetarian and Lactose Free guests). Room is well laid out and very user tech friendly. Power bar is conspiciously bolted near the writing desk for ease of access. Sockets can be rotated to accommodate various direction of plugs. Power bar has two... Read more

My daughter and I enjoyed our week stay at the Harbour House for many reasons. We loved the location, a lovely quiet neighbourhood close to several restaurants and near the harbour and boardwalk. We found the kitchenette in our studio room was handy for rpreparing some of our meals. The staff was very helpful with information and advice. The only down side was that we could hear the people walking around above us so we had trouble getting to sleep several nights. We would choose a different... Read more

This is my second time to stay at The H.H. in Charlottetown. The staff are excellent - efficient, friendly and helpful. The H.H. is a beautiful quaint older building in the heart of the city. My room the "West" was very nice and well equipped with a small refrigerator. In the common area there is a full kitchen that is available should you be interested in preparing your own foods. AC unit was a modern super quiet wall mounted unit. My room had 2 very comfortable beds. Breakfast - delicious and ... Read more

Excellent, excellent boutique hotel. Wonderful staff (thanks Katherine, Kalene, Matt and Zack). Location is within walking distance to all the sights, Charlottetown is a very walkable city. The hotel had perfect temperature controls (it was cool and rainy!), décor, great king bed, terrific amenities for guests through the day and evening (sun room and kitchen). The restaurant for breakfast is large and bright, with several tables set up (we prefer to eat on our own!). Great choice of entrÃ... Read more

not too impressed. very cramped room. had to carry luggage up three flights. breakfast was bland in my opinion. staff was aloof. had a strange little common area outside of room that was connected to some other rooms and you could hear about anything that was going on in the other rooms.

I booked the last two rooms available for a two night stay (book early) and appreciated the friendly communication. The hotel is exceptionally well run. Everything is immaculate and attractive. Both rooms were lovely. The location is gorgeous and short walk to the theatre (we enjoyed both "Anne of Green Gables" and "Anne & Gilbert"). Breakfast is top notch and comes with hospitable service from the lovely staff. The neighbourhood is beautiful. We also enjoyed a quick pre-dinner bite at The Pilot... Read more

We stayed in the modest room. That is an understatement. There was no room for any luggage and the shower was so small you couldn't get your hair shampooed as there was no way to get from under the running water. The toilet bowl was dirty as well. My brother has a bigger room and it was only $30.00 more. It was quite nice. Only one available when we booked. The bed was hard and the noise in the was loud. Go with the suite. It has a kitchenette and balcony.

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Meadow room which is one of the modest rooms . It was much smaller than anticipated. There was barely room to put our luggage (luckily we stayed for only three nights so only had one bag). The shower was so small I had to remove the shower head and let it dangle at my feet in order to shampoo my hair. Bathroom and main room were both clean, the bed was a little stiff but I am impressed with whatever it is they use to wash their linens, as they were soft and also ... Read more

We stayed for one night to catch an early flight. We loved the spacious room. It was so quiet and the bed was the best. We both slept soundly all night. We had an early flight out and the hotel prepared us a little breakfast bag to take with us when we left. It was nice to have a little something to go. But we really wish we could have stayed for the real breakfast. The dining room was all set up and it was just beautiful.

We thought the Harbour House looked great online, but it was even better in reality. The room was spacious, and the efficiency kitchen was classy and well-appointed. The bed was sumptuous. The private balcony was an especially nice surprise and allowed us to take advantage of the glorious PEI weather during our stay. Breakfast (included) was exceptional: a combination of cooked-to-order and continental a la carte. Service at the meal and and the desk was first-rate. Finally, the location made it... Read more

We had a king size suite on the 3rd floor of this boutique hotel. The suite was lovely, clean, and shiny - new. It was close to the restaurants, theater, and harbor. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was yummy! We really enjoyed staying here and would definitely recommend it!
