Best Western Charlottetown offered a great location, a really nice room and a wonderful value for the money. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, the free breakfast offered a lot of good choices. Free Wi-Fi worked well. We had a deluxe room and really appreciated all the amenities we could use in the kitchen there.

After having stayed 2 nights in the Best Western Charlottetown I would recommend it to anybody seeking reasonably price accommodation in Charlottetown, PEI with outstandingly friendly staff. The hotel has all of the amenities except a restaurant. But they do offer an excellent hot breakfast buffet. It is clean and completely met my expectations!

This place was bad from The start. I had to try 3 times to reserve our room and still wasn't sure if it went through ( and that's talking to someone at their front desk ). We went with a team and even though we had reserved 2 months ahead of time, they still couldn't group us together even though they had blocked off rooms for us. The building is really run down, the service is bad ( we asked for extra blankets 3 times and they never brought them to us. We were woken up at 4:30am by a random str... Read more

Stayed here for 2 nights on a business trip. Close to downtown, no problems walking everywhere. Good coffee and wifi in the room worked fine. Good value, take a 3rd floor room -quieter. Don't take the upgrade to a 2nd floor suite - near the entrance and too noisy. Hot breakfast was a nice perk, and quite edible. Best thing about it was the staff, especially Tracey at the front desk. Great value in Charlottetown!

I stayed here for 4 nights with my 2 cats and dog. The first housekeeper was fantastic and she came in everyday to give me fresh towels etc. On the third day of being there I received a phone call from the front desk saying a housekeeper wouldn't clean my room because he was scared my cats would run out. Well, my cats hide under the bed first off. And secondly, he could have closed the door over like the first housekeeper did. So I got no fresh towels, no garbage change, nothing. I asked the fr... Spent five days at this location while touring Prince Edward Island as it is most central. Facilities where very comfortable and plenty of room for two adults in a two Queen bedroom. Staff were most helpful and courteous. The only drawback is that they did not have a hot tub, but does have a swimming pool.

Only real problem we found the bed...very very soft..too soft.. Room was clean & kitchen well equipped... Even tho' our room faced Grafton Street..it was quiet at night...and we slept with the window open.. We showed up here in the middle of the night with no reservation because the Inn at St. Peter in PEI has parasites in the beds and we needed alternative accommodations. They welcomed us, upgraded us to a nice king room, gave us complimentary breakfast in the middle of the night and let us check out late so that we could catch up on sleep. The very best service!

It is hard to compare this with other places on PEI, because I have not seen others, but I think it should be torn down and rebuilt. The positive the staff is nice. The exchange rate at the desk is 1 for 1 when at at bank it is 1.25 for 1. Guess the owners do not want to exchange money for their guests. Their dinning recommendations are good. The rooms are old the building is old.

We stayed here for one night in June 2016. While the staff was friendly and helpful, our room was not worth the price. It was reasonably clean but had some stains / marks from years of use - the layout was strange, and the fixtures and finishing were very outdated. Our air conditioning didn't seem to be working properly (which we realized in the middle of the night when we were both completely overheated) - and overall the room needed a lot of sprucing up (or perhaps a complete overhaul). Stayed here for one night and while the staff are friendly and nice this place needs a real update. The rooms have a musty smell and compared to the Hamptons hotel which we stayed on our trip it's really outdated and more like a 1 star and was the most expensive! The only cool pet is the tunnel that connects the two parts of the motel together.

We recently stayed here over the Canada Day long weekend. What a terrible experience. The price was somewhat high so we were expecting a nice place. When we pulled in we entered into a dated, dirty, confusing establishment. They tried to put us in a room across the street from the hotel in what I can only describe as a college dorm. We pushed for a room with the main part of the hotel. The lady at the desk seemed annoyed, took forever and answered several phone calls while we waited in fro... Read more

We did indeed get a room in the basement, which they call the first floor, but is really the musty, drab basement. I know I was in the basement because our window faced the eye level view of someone's back yard. This hotel is well-placed for enjoying Charlottetown on foot. We found it expensive for the quality of accommodation and food. While the staff was very pleasant, many seemed inexperienced. What we first noticed was how big the room was: a sitting place with plenty of couches and television and above all plenty of space to put your suitcases away and other jackets. Furthermore, we had a view on the swimming pool of the hotel. It was all nice and tidy. Shower was working perfectly. Carpets & floors are filthy, no hvac vents in the bdrm of our unit so we had to open the window for cool air; aircon very loud and only worked in the kitchen/lounge area.
