We stayed here for one night. Easy access off of Highway one. The hotel is at the bottom of Silver Tip where golf is available and it looks like a great course. On both sides of the hotel you have beautiful mountain views. There is a place to eat on site. You are only a few minutes to downtown Canmore. It is much more economical then staying in Banff which is a short drive away. The staff were friendly although it took awhile to get the bill right as we paid for one room and had a room we receiv... Stayed on April 13 for one night using point. Clean and tidy hotel rooms and hallways. Friendly front desk staff. No complaints at all. Just one thing to be mentioned that there standard rooms only come with double beds and not a single queen or king size bed. But we were upgraded for free to a king size bed room. Didn't use any of these facilities but they do have a restaurant. We didn't have breakfast there as went out to the town for breakfast.

We stayed overnight last May 16 with the whole family. Coming from Downtown Banff it was easy to locate the hotel. The staff were very accommodating and very friendly when we arrived. Ambiance of the hotel is very nice, comfortable and clean. The Holiday Inn in Canmore is unfortunately typical of many hotels in popular tourist places - essentially coasting and overpriced because it can get away with it. Rooms are spacious, but the fittings are rather dated and the attention to detail in the cleaning is suspect. It's still quite comfortable, but could be so much better with a little attention to detail.

Low rise building of course and consistency with friendly staff from the time we checked in. Don't expect an all-inclusive experience although there is a dining room. Hotel is beautiful, rooms were spacious and clean. Shower could use some upgrades - tap seemed to be 'just hanging on'. Restaurant had good food, but very limited and expensive menu - (unless you like octopus and escargot and a side salad was $11!). Thank god for the kids menu and kids eat free option, otherwise not a kid friendly place. Biggest issue were the beds - I have never stayed in a hotel at this price point and had less than a pillow-top bed. These beds were quite firm, my travel ... Read more

The exterior look of this Holiday Inn is different than most which I did appreciate. We stayed on the 3rd floor, and had a great view of the mountains (I don't think there really is a bad view). Typical Holiday Inn as far as amenities and service in my opinion (I've stayed at lots). Easy to get to, and lots of parking. On opposite side of main town, but a short 5 min car ride, nothing crazy. Very clean, and spacious rooms and bathrooms. Tried the hot tub outside which was outside. There is... Read more

A nice quiet hotel tucked away from the hustle and bustle with an awesome view. Very friendly staff and a nice restaurant. Canmore village centre is a healthy walk away and has ample choices of eateries. Situated on the way to Banff from Calgary it is a place to relax and enjoy the mountains

Room was very nice, clean and functional. Good location for views of scenery. Short drive to downtown Canmore. Staff were very service oriented. Had dinner and breakfast in the Dining Room - dinner was excellent. Service for breakfast was a little slow.

We were told at the front that the hotel had gone through a recent remodel. The general overall first impression was very good. Only ripple the water would be the very poor wall papering job in our room. Wall paper coming loose and curling up in long sections just left of the TV. So not hard to see. We reported to desk on our check out.

Booked this hotel for one night before we ventured into Banff/Jasper. It was everything we needed and more. The front desk check in, was smooth and fast. He also took the time to tell us about some trails around that we could walk and gave us a map. The room was your standard 2 queen bedroom. Everything was clean and fresh. It was close to everything we needed, and right off the highway. It blended it very well with the whole "chalet" look. Would defintely book again and reccomend!

I found it online and the price was really good so I booked it. I booked a double queen but requested it to be an accessible room. I confirmed that information over the phone but when I got there the only accessible rooms have only 1 bed and the doors are wider is all. The were amazing though they gave us several better options including a free upgrade to a king size suite with a pull out sofa. The room was much larger and was a lot better for us. Again they were amazing and friendly and we did ... Read more

After 4 days at the Ramada in Canmore (we did hate to move) we moved to the Holiday Inn for two nights (free point stay). We were placed in the two story King with the hot tub. Thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. Concurring with other reviews, the staff was very pleasant and helpful. One recommendation from the staff was to have dinner right up the road at Stoney's Bar and Grill at the Silvertip Resort. Awesome dinner (independently reviewed) This establishment was newer and certainly clean. ... Read more

I stayed two nights while in the area on business. The hotel is a basic cookie cutter Holiday Inn such as you will find the world over. This one is located next to nowhere. Unless you want to eat at the one small restaurant on site it is a very long walk or a car ride elsewhere. There is no fitness centre or pool but there is a hot tub. Also, unusual for this kind of hotel no breakfast room or included breakfast option. The parking lot has the narrowest stalls imaginable, nothing short of ... Read more

My wife and I came out to Canmore to get away between my business trips. We have stayed at this property before and we have always been pleased. It is not necessarily the fanciest, but the staff have always been very friendly. We were given a nice loft suite with a Jacuzzi. The room was clean and comfortable. Thanks for making our stay enjoyable!

Nice hotel in a great location. Close to the highway and downtown bars and restaurants. The rustic look of this hotel blends perfectly with the surrounding landscape. Nice views. Very friendly staff. Only 16 miles from downtown Banff and less expensive than the Banff hotels. Disappointed that during our stay, the restaurant was closed.

This is a great spot to stay while in Canmore or going to Banff. Hotel staff are super polite & friendly & eager to assist in any way they can. Rooms are spotless, well decorated and one of my favorite away places to stay.

We stayed here for a couples weekend and were lucky enough to get a south facing room on the 3rd floor with the cathedral ceiling! The view of the mountains was impeccable. This is a great location with easy access to Canmore and to Banff National park. It is within walking distance to downtown if you want to take a nice 20 minute walk. We would stay here again.

This hotel is fairly new and is right along the highway. It is very quiet and comfortable. Great views from the hotel windows. Lots of parking available but the only downside is the stalls are very tight. Overall a great place to stay!

Clean, well-stocked and quiet room w/ 2 queen beds. Nice to have a fridge, microwave and keurig in room. The hvac unit fan was a bit loud at times but it worked well. Overall, the room was a great fit for me. I didn't eat in the restaurant this time but had a banquet dinner and breakfast buffet that were both excellent.
