As an IHG Spire Elite member I spend many weeks and months on the road staying at Holiday Inns. This property is older with a need for upgrades. The toilet facets and drain were so old the chrome has wore away down to the brass. The beds are worn to the point of well used with a need of an upgrade. There are no elevators to the second floor. The restaurant is adequate. Typical hotel food. Drive 12 miles to St Jacobs for a very modern property. Or to Kitchener to a high rise property.

We were in town on business and planned to stay at this Holiday Inn. After a late check in we discovered that the hotel does not have an elevator. That was challenging because the plan was to stay at this location for a month. After getting to the room we discovered soiled undergarments in the corner of the room. The desk clerk taking the phone call was extremely apologetic and immediately sent someone to retrieve the undergarments. Once the housekeeper came, she too was apologetic and asked wha... Read more

Third time I have been here for meetings with 300+ people. The groups in the simultaneous breakout sessions varied from 10 to 60 people. Breakout rooms of all sizes are available. The buffet lunch of sandwich rolls and salads was one of the better ones I have experienced. They were running out when I got there but when they realized there were a few more stragglers everything was quickly refreshed. One nice thing, with attendees coming from all over South Western Ontario, is the location. It i... Read more

Stayed here while on training at In House and Mazak. The rooms are clean but run down. The controls for the heat/ air register were gone so the temperature of the room was out of my control. The bathroom was the size of a small close and I had to close the door to get in and out of the shower. With no fan in the room it got pretty steamy meaning I had to wait to shave for a while. The bed was okay and, since I've traveled for business before, I brought my own pillow so I didn't have to deal with... Read more

1st floor rooms have patio doors to the parking lot, which is nice for packing and unpacking. The hotel is located close to grocery stores, restaurants, the lcbo, and the beer store. Rooms were average; clean but could use a facelift. First floor wreaked of cigarette smoke; advertised as a non-smoking hotel. Price was decent. Free wifi and a heated indoor pool as well.

Stayed here for one night as it was just around the corner from where we had to be. The location was very convenient but I would not consider staying here again. They really need to concentrate efforts on cleanliness, both inside and out. The outside entrances and parking area are filthy and the inside of the hotel is generally outdated and in need of repairs. Most definitely not a deal at $144/night. Pool was grungy as well as hot tub, so much so that my son was not the least bit interested i... Read more

I stayed at the Holiday Inn for 2 nights during a training for work. The service from the front desk to the hotel manager (Sam?) was excellent!! The rooms themselves are clean, basic, everything you need. There is a separate sink just outside the washroom as well as in the washroom, which would be nice if anyone has a bunch of people getting ready in the morning at the same time. Free wifi, restaurant on site (no breakfast included), coffee and tea for free throughout the day. There is an i... Read more

The hotel is located in a good location just off of the 401. My room was on the 2nd floor. No elevator, which was not a problem for me but may be for some. Room looked clean but was very dusty around baseboards, under bed and around extension cords. I stayed for two nights, and when I returned to the hotel after a long day I just wanted to take a quick shower and get some sleep as I had to be up early the next morning. The key swipe card to my room did not work. I went down to the lobby and was... Read more

We were at a dog show at this hotel and someone let a bunch of dogs loose. The management went above and beyond to control and resolve the situation. The manger is very friendly and all the staff are courteous and professional.

We had stayed at this location 2 years ago. We went back because it had an outdoor area where the families could gather around picnic tables and the outdoor pool. It does need a good cleaning. Windows and doors were dirty. The handles on all the exterior and interior hall doors were sticky. Staff was very friendly & efficient. We spent 2 nights. Beds were great (of course it's a holiday inn). Hard to find enough electrical outlets for our phones, i pads, etc.

This is away from the mall strip and in a sort of desolate and crappy part of town. The building is old cement block, 2 story with peeling paint. The rooms have clean bedding but old lamps with tilting shades, old old bathroom fixtures (the Kleenex holder in the front of the counter was rusty and literally came off when I tried to pull out a Kleenex). Outdoor pool was clean but not pleasant. We got a room that supposedly walked out to the outside pool. Well, not exactly. It walked out on to ... Read more

We arrived very late and very tired. I started walking in the front doors and the desk clerk said "wait, " I was like excuse me. She then said if I didn't have a reservation then to no bother walking any further. I said I did have a reservation. She then gave me the paper work to fill in and I asked her about my room as it wasn't the style of room I booked. (two queen beds not one queen and a pull out couch) She said it didn't matter what I reserved that there is no quarantines when you book you... Read more

This building is old and not something you would associate with Holiday Inn, it is like the two story motels from the 70's! Bathroom is in poor condition, shower head is covered in lime, lamps in room thick with dust, windows on patio doors look like they have not been cleaned for months, door on front of fridge dirty, I had to clean the fridge before I could use it, also could not get into our room before 4 and even then they had to change the room to another, we had paid extra for poolside, b... This is your standard 3 star hotel. It is clean quiet and with some amenities. It is a decent price point. The pool area is clean as is the hot yub. We did have ask for towels to be brought as they where out but that took no more then 5 mins. We enjoyed our stay in their comfy beds.

Visiting my hometown. Unfortunately when we booked a Hotel for our stay, there happened to be a sports tournament and an outdoor music attraction during our dates. Only available Hotel was this tired Holiday Inn. I remember this Hotel from the 70's. I paid for an "Executive Suite" The only thing executive was he glass doors separating you from the other rooms. No air conditioning in the hallways. Humid and stank. Had to use hip to force room door open. Same with bathroom door. Sink chipped and r... Read more

We chose this hotel because it was near the African Lion Safari. When we arrived, there was construction going on, so the check in was actually in a room. It seemed as if the whole 1st floor was being remodeled. The staff were very nice and helpful. Our room was very clean and the bed was super comfy. The room was good sized with a nice chair with an ottoman to stretch out in. The breakfast was pretty good with a good selection of foods including waffles, bacon, sausage, yogurt, oatmeal, ... Front door required a body check to open. Sliding door mechanism is broken, just the little safety bar to keep people out on a ground floor unit. Lamp stained, Air conditioning did not work (plugged up with god knows what, I checked inside-gross), bath shower knob did not work, hot water only, sink drain plug broken. We had a swim and shower since our facilities did not work. I could smell chlorine on my skin a day latter, very strong. I spoke to the manager (lillian?)and was told that the ... Read more

Went there with my wife in the evening for a business meeting. Trying to locate the place was very difficult even using our GPS. We ended up at the COMFORT INN beside it. Why was it so difficult all hotels I have frequented all over the world have a visible sign for day or night. The sign for this particular Holiday INN was off why I don't know. Just plain ridiculous.

This is the first time I have stayed at a Holiday Inn and have been disappointed. The hotel is very old and in need of a overhaul. The room we had had wall paper that was cracked and bubbling and the hallways are long with very old carpeting . No elevators and they do not offer a continental breakfast. I thought this was standard at all Holiday Inns.Hard to locate and it is nowwhere up to par with other Holiday Inns.

Beds were clean, and property was okay. I used to work at this Holiday Inn 17 years ago. At the time, it used to play classical music, and offer guests baked fresh cookies. The restaurant was much larger and classier. The restaurant is a shadow of it's former self. Shame to see such an amazing property deteriorate. That being said, I have no complaints.
