The check in was done very well and we settled in but the toilet quit working for no reason so the front desk relocated us to another room. The continental breakfast was not refilled when some things ran out,so we had to pick through what was left. There was yogert gone bad and when we sugested to deal with it the person just shrugged it off.

The hotel was run down, room was creepy but beds where comfortable, there where stains on the walls and furniture. I feel it was maybe 20 dollars too much for quality. Staff was nice and accommodating.

I regularly stay at this hotel for work . The staff are very friendly and helpful. My only issue is that the shower heads in most of the rooms I've stayed in need to be either changed or cleaned. Overall I'm happy with my experience at this hotel.

I stayed with my husband for 2 nights in a queen room. Light on bedside table was not plugged in so I moved bedside table to plug it in as well as my phone. No outlet behind it so not sure why there was a lamp there.. But there were empty condom wrappers and dirty kleenexes. When I spoke to the cleaning woman about it she didn't have too much to say, other than that if we wanted our room cleaned we would need to vacate it immediately as she only worked until 1130 am and it was 1030am. The only complaint that I Have is that the frame of the bed sticks out from the bed a couple of inches. When I got up on the morning I walked by and the frame caught my leg and cut my leg about 3" long. This is a safety concern that needs to be addressed. Everything else was ok and no other issues. Thank you & best Regards, Tricia

It was just a gross hotel. Everything was dirty, the carpet was lifting in the halls, there was no sound proofing, and the pool is tiny. 10/10 would not recommend

The website pictures and reception area on arrival have been spruced up but everything behind is shabby. OK, the bed is comfortable, there's free WiFi and continental breakfast, there's plenty of parking and the staff are friendly and helpful but the rooms are small (not enough room for 2 suitcases), the decor is 1970's and desperately in need of renovation and the ceiling was falling off in our bathroom. It's right on the highway but no noise so access was good. There are lots of eating options... Read more

Old is fine. Dirty is not. Would not stay herr again. We did not try the pool because we thought if the walls ans floor as so dirty, how clean could the pool be? T.V. worked. A couple of the electrical outlets did not.

Our room was very dirty. There was an awful smell that hit you as soon as you walked into the room. We discovered food behind the nightstand. There was something red stuck to the walls and white stains all over the green cloth chair. I refused to let my kids touch it. The hotel is old, but if it was cleaned up it it would be an ok place to stay. We will not be back.

The room was small, the beds and bathroom were clean. The shower was hot but the fixtures were a little dated. The air conditioner was a bit noisy but kept the room as cold as you wanted it to be. The staff were great especially the Guest Services Manager Shraddha.

Visiting Calgary for a quick night out. Staff at Check In were nice. And the positives ended. Lobby is sparse furnishings that somehow seemed cramped. As soon as I saw that I already wished I had booked elsewhere. If the lobby looks like this how are the rooms? Entered room. Very small, if that was a Queen Bed I'm a monkey. Paint chipping on the walls. Dated furniture with worn edges. Flat pillows. Rolled up carpets. Stains on chairs in the room. Tiny bathroom with rolled up linoleum. Stains o... Read more

The finishings are not good. The rooms are small. The ventilation is poor. Condensation on windows. Found a hair in my bed. Better value elsewhere in Calgary. No bar fridge. Coffee is bad with no milk. No separate closet but a niche to hang your stuff. No iron or ironing board. Don't recommend staying here.

In Calgary visiting family. Finally found a hotel that had a smoking room, even it it was on the sixth floor. The room was a little small, but really, how much time do you spend in your room while on vacation? We loved the location too, very convenient to all our needs.

I understand this is a motel and not a luxury hotel but really...broken mirror in the bathroom, stains on the carpet, mildew in the bathtub, telephone that doesn't work (and instead of fixing they asked us to change rooms) curtains that are stuck...no I wouldn't stay there or recommend it to anyone...the only good thing was the young man at the reception, he was polite and friendly!

We had three rooms - The carpet in the hallways was puckered and torn and patched in our rooms, mold in the fridge and window sills in both rooms, bed skirt was torn, pillows made us totally stuffed up, the bridal suite was covered in dust, mold on the walls above the shower in another room and the plugins were wiggly. The hskg and deskstaff were very nice but but I'd never stay there again!

I am not fussy. I need not stay in a palatial property. I do draw a line on cleanliness though. I need to feel comfortable. Here I did not experience clean and comfort. Our first room left us cringing, hoping a change of room to improve our experience. Unfortunately, the room shift left us wishing we had stayed put. Unclean bathroom, old hardened food left behind furniture, unsafely wired. Generally we were disgusted by the room's lack of tidiness and disrepair. One saving grace was the amiable ... Read more

I have traveled for years and stayed in all kinds of motels and hotels. This was the worst experience I have ever had. Lots of pictures of our room. Within 90 minutes of checking in someone had hit and run my car, right in front of the main doors. Room 535 was quite dirty so we asked to be moved and were moved. The room we moved into 539 was disgusting. Will posting pictures on Facebook of the mold orange, pee on the toilet, food and candy wrappers under the bed, the torn bed skit, the dirty ice... The hotel smelled very moldy and the rooms were very gross. Around the window called the dry wall was all broken up and rotted away. The bathroom was also very gross and there was crap on the roof. The hotel is older and I did not expect 5 stars but I expected it to feel at least clean and it definitely did not!

The room was ok but the air conditioning was very poor. It was a very hot weekend we were there and the room was so muggy. We did ask for it to be fixed and someone came In to look at it but it didn't resolve. We also asked for the holier to be fixed as it did not flush very well. They looked at it once but the problem remained.

First, the carpet was badly stained, loose and wrinkled because it was so old. Second, the bathroom was dingy and even a little moldy in places. A bathroom that old will never seem clean no matter how hard the cleaning staff work. Third, the bed - what a disaster. It was lumpy and everytime I moved I got poked by another part of it. The pillows seemed dirty, but they were more likely just old and stained (good thing I always bring my own). I had a miserable sleep. The only reason I give this pla... Read more

We stayed at the Travelodge in Calgary for the Stampede in 2016. The staff were very pleasant and the continental breakfast was good. But I booked a room with two queen size beds and they only had doubles. The bed was so small my husband rolled right off the bed at 3 a.m. and landed on the floor. The airconditioner barely worked and as my husband is a power engineer, he took it apart and fixed it in the morning, but the filter had been removed. The bathrooms were spotted with mold and the tub was... Read more

We were a group of three who paid 227.50 for two queen sized bed suite. What a disgusting room. It started with the lift which had a wet carpet like someone had peed on it! Then to the room which was very dated and dirty. There was the offer of coffee but no CUPS, an offer of a shower but only two of us could as towels were limited to two. Having read previous reviews I was worried about the state of this hotel. Personal experience. If you're looking for a cheap bed for the night it serves that purpose. The bed is comfortable and for the most part the room and bathroom were clean (some marks on the shower curtain, in general things are shabby). Breakfast was crowded and disappointing. Stopped using it. Didn't check out the pool - was told the water had the consistency of oatmeal. For an extra £100 a week you can stay at the Ca... Read more
