Checked in on Friday 13th. That should say it all! The first room we were given on 5th floor was nice and spacious as it was an accessible room, which we requested. All looked good until I lent on the windowsill to see the view - another building. Ok so not too bothered as was only going to sleep there. However the windowsill was filthy with dust and a few small dead bugs. Then hubby noticed black ash on one of the beds and I found 2 "hairs" on same bed. Wasn't having that so called housekeepin... It was a typical chain hotel, lots of little idiosyncrasies that can be an annoyance- several calls to front desk. But what I can say the team of employees that were there during our stay are doing right by their management and every single employee (5) I had dealings with handled their job(s) with excellent customer service, I have no complaints there at all... Job well done with going above and beyond in a pleasant manner and rectifying situations :) #teamwork #greatemployees

It is in the downtown. Easy to go anywhere. Near to the trasit station. If you drive a car, well, need to pay the parking fee. A little unconvenience, because they won't let you to park or touch your car. Need to call before you use the car.

This affordable hotel is located 2 blocks from the CORE shopping mall and a block from the city train. The staff there were nice, and was able to answer any questions I had. This is a visibly older building, the wall where the tub is in the bathroom had some cracks in it. Overall cleanliness was acceptable, towels were clean, sheets were clean. There is no safe in the guest room though. But would still recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Calgary for a short trip.

Stayed in this hotel for a Friday get away. We left earlier the breakfast was ready. was disappointed the pool wasn't open yet, (we didn't see any notes when booking it). Parking was easy, location the hotel was close to a lot things down town Calgary (The tower, Stephen Ave, and restaurants.) We stayed in a room with 2 double beds. beds were comfortable, and clean. There was no mini fridge, and when we went to go find the ice machine, it was very dirty. this hotel was ok for a over night stay, ... Read more

Hotel was fine but I did have a few issues. Reception and welcome was good and the room standard as expected. The main issue I had the hotel did have a Rugby team staying who where visiting on tour, and you certainly knew they where there. I did get a few hours sleep but they started to return from 3.30am onwards from their night on the town. Not the hotels fault just one of those things. Breakfast buffet was ok I was first in due to my early wake up call items on the buffet not the hottest but... Read more

Location is great, rooms are dark, workmanship in bathroom is average at best, front reception staff were polite and helpful. I left my Blackberry in the room and tracked it down 36 hours later. The hotel will send it to me ....at my own cost. Really? It costs $10, maybe $15 to send to Toronto. I travel throughout the year and our de facto hotel chain is the Fairmont. I will not stay at a Ramada when the Fairmont is unavailable and will ensure the Travel Department in my firm heeds my feedb... Read more

Disappointed with this Hotel. They scrimped on in-room facilities, and seemed to cater for 1 occupier rather than 2. Barely enough coffee and provisions, also scrimped on soaps etc. No safe. Stayed for 4 nights but would not choose again. Felt they didn't make enough effort to make you feel at ease or welcome.

very pleasant hotel, great room on 6th floor what kills me is the lack of good lighting in the bathroom - I shave with a razor, and the puncie downlights are a waste of the space they occupy. staff are excellent, super friendly, and the hotel is great value for money

The best bit about the hotel is its good location. We arrived at 10pm on a Friday evening having travelled from the UK for the past 12 hours only to be told when asked if we could get refreshements that the bar had just closed due to the fact that there were not customers!!!! The opening times stated 11pm. We were told to use the vending machines. The room was ok, and the bed very comfy. The hotel itself is very dated and dark and needs a refurb in my opinion. The pool area looks ill kept a... Read more

This hotel is in a great spot in Calgary; close to shopping and restaurants. It has nice big clean rooms and parking and reasonably priced. That's the positives. The only restaurant available in the hotel for dinner has poker machines so if you have a child under 18 travelling with you; they cannot eat dinner in the hotel. We were tired and going out of the hotel for a meal was a hassle but we had to do it. The hotel offers room service as an alternative, but I don't want to sleep in a room st... Read more

I like this hotel, it was very clean and the staff was really nice. The room was average size with a spacious balcony. The bar was very nice we had some drink and food it was good quality/price. The breakfast buffet was an average buffet, delicious and cheap. The pool is on the second floor, It's no sunny all the time because of the tall building surrounding the hotel so be ready to feel the cold mountain wind when you get out of the pool. This hotel have the best location I could found.

Rooms are very tired even in the executive section. Mould in the bathroom, soap scum caked tubs, no AC. Staff are great in the dining room and bar. Pool area is best part of this hotel and it has seen better days. Cleaning staff tries but there is little to work with. The maintenance man was of no assistance at all in sorting out AC problems. His solution was open the door and let in cool air.

Rooms were spacious and mine had a balcony. Staff was pleasant and helpful. It was a quick walk to the train and I was able to get around without a car. It was very quiet in the evening - not a lot of nightlife right by the hotel, but definitely within walking distance a few blocks away.

A very centrally located hotel. Right in the hustle and bustle area. Close to shopping and trams. A 10 minute walk to the shopping mall and about 6 minutes to the team. A 10 minute ride to the Calgary Stampede grounds.

You can catch a team from 4th street which is just on the corner of the hotel for $3.15 one way or $6.50 for the whole day. The Ramada provided great value for our one night stay to catch the final day of the Calgary Stampede. It was clean and comfortable with great service and was priced at the lower range for downtown Calgary hotels for this time period. Our only issue was that our GPS had difficulties getting us to the underground parking entrance off 6th Ave and when we finally got around the dead end, I believe in 7th Abe? The parking entrance appeared locked down and indicated it was full. A quick "run in" to a... Read more

Only a short walk from the hotel and we were in the shopping precinct and able to access the Calgary Tower, where we were able to get tickets for the revolving restaurant and a special meal as an end of holiday treat.
