When we arrived there was a welcome note from the manager as well as free admission tickets to the zoo and other discount coupons for Calgary attractions. The room was comfortable and clean. Stayed for business for 4 nights, upon pulling into the parking lot, I must admit I was a little scared, but pleasantly surprised as soon as i walked in,. The staff is friendly, helpful and welcoming. Lots of free parking, great beds, nice glass showers and great water pressure, nice gym with new equipment and nicely renovated rooms. The grab and go breakie was convenient. Ate on site every night for dinner and did not have a bad meal. Overall a great stay and will recommend! Cheers.

The Blackfoot is a redbrick building that looks like a hospital or nurses residency from the outside, but inside......one of the most friendly and well equipped places I have stayed at. The rooms have a great friendly warm colour combination, fantastic beds, great bathrooms. The gym is well equipped with the newest gear, all staff are very friendly and...its therefore value for money!

Although the outside is a little drab looking, the rooms are spectacular! I booked a pet friendly room and it was clean and had a little treat bag for the pooch. The room is very modern and the shower had one of those rainfall shower heads. There was lots of coffee and tea as well as actual glasses (not cardboard). The bed was very comfy and the a/c wasn't too noisy. In a city like Calgary the free parking and wifi were much appreciated. I wish that the entrance door to the room had a better s... Read more

From outside, one's expectations of the Hotel Blackfoot may not be high. Once inside however, things change. I suppose I had a regular room on the 4th floor. Very spacious and modern. All the amenities for the business traveler were there. The bathroom stood out most with a walk in shower and some of the best towels I've experienced in many years of travel. Would I recommend the hotel? Sure, if you don't need constant access to downtown, why not.

Oops, when we asked about the well-regarded dinner buffet, which we loved last year, the staff said no reservation was necessary -- but one of the party said no reservatiosn were possible because the whole restaurant was booked all night! Oops, the brunch we took instead was up and down. Superb desserts -- but that icy strudel was not normal, the French toast was cool, probably olde than springtime, and the buns and toast and bread were simply not available. Choosing Hotel Blackfoot for our wedding venue was a great choice. Their catering coordinator, Brandi, made the planning so easy. She was always available to answer questions, responded immediately to my emails and went above and beyond to make our day exactly what we wanted. Rooms are very nice......BUT outlandish prices, they quoted us one price discounted for hospital stay at the Rockyview and did not deliver. The prices used to be reasonable here a few years ago and we stayed often, but never again. $ 28.00 for chicken wings and soup!!! In this economy they will be sealing their own fate with these prices. Just felt totally ripped off....sad because we used to like this place before it changed hands.

The hotel itself was good, clean well organized with one exception. The restaurant the hotel uses is WAY overpriced for what you receive. However, I opted in for the breakfast vouchers - you pay $10 more per night & get up to $40 of breakfast. Yes, there are conditions like you can't use it for room service & it can't be used for another meal period but it's a very good value. Little did I know, I didn't need the breakfast as I had boo... Stayed 4 nights with a work conference, so took advantage of 6th floor amenities (breakfast and all day snacks.) King room comfy, with great bed, many power outlets, large desk, sitting area, glassed in shower, fridge and microwave. Never did turn on the large flat screen TV. Included breakfast not worth it being at the end of the hallway, offering juice, loaf muffins, apple oatmeal, coffees (any style), yoghurt, bottled water, granola bars and apples. This hotel is good one for doing business near by. Rooms are spacious and clean. Love the amenities bathroom really nice. Hotel itself is good. Little thing that I was not happy was check in process. The receptionist was taking enormous time chatting with a young gentlemen who already was checked in. He didn't event look at me to say " will be with you shortly " no. I felt that he was ignoring my presence intentionally. After almost 10 minutes of me waiting for him to stop chatting and let ... Read more

Only spent one night at this hotel. When I made the reservation the staff was very helpful and pleasant. The check in staff were friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and modern. I was volunteering at a casino so needed to sleep late in the a.m., very little noise with people checking out of their rooms. Even when I met a cleaning staff in the hall on the way out she was very friendly.

One shortcoming is that I didn't find a control for the room temperature which was strange But as I stayed for one night it wansnt that important but it was a bit on the cool side If I were to stay longer I'd enquirer about this,

Third time here, nice place, love the huge parking lot when I am towing my car trailer. Front desk very efficient and friendly. Renovations are well done, clean rooms and lobby. I did detect a strange odour when entering my room, sewer like smell. I like the room service menu on the TV, great selection.

We checked in here based on reviews on TripAdvisor. We've been curious about it for a while. We were somewhat disappointed. The bed was very uncomfortable and the only breakfast associated with room added $40 to the cost. The front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room is nice and if you like a hard bed this is a good bet. We also ate at the bar which was ok. The main restaurant in the hotel is very expensive. I'm no longer curious and likely won't be back.
