I coach a Sr Girls basketball team that travels to Calgary 6-7 times a year and we always try to find a hotel that provides a home feeling! The staff here are amazing! I had a player suffer a serious injury and the front desk went well beyond to assist us in making her comfortable. When we offered our thanks we were told "I have kids also and when they were away from home I would hope someone would look after them." Every check in has been simple and quick. They have accommodated our req... Read more

My Husband and I went WITH our dog, our room was clean, quite dark (lighting) and on ground floor, the front desk was amazing and its where we stay in calgary all the time! pool is decent, could be bigger or more private from 'passer's by" and the breakfast was 6/10... but I mean there was breakfast! so yay! they did NOT have tea in our room... sad face.

Stayed here on Easter weekend. As a mobility impaired client certain things are very important and when the staff helped out it was much appreciated. However the bed was very old with springs popping out. That being said it was still somewhat comfortable in most of the spots just not where I was sleeping. So for a king bed it was manageable but does need replacing. The furniture us also very dated but acceptable. On the plus side it was very clean. The hot tub did not work properly and at one ... Pro: Good bed for a solid nights sleep. Con: No eggs, bacon, etc for breakfast. Just a waffle station and cold breakfast foods. Close to lots of amenities on Macleod Trail near Chinook Centre. Easy access in and out of the city. Found it reasonably close to city attractions

This hotel needs to be shutdown or upgraded. I choose to stay in this hotel looking at their website and the actual place was nothing like that at all. The rooms and washrooms are way old and not clean. very congested. The price includes breakfast and there is nothing that you can eat at the counter, the Pool foes not come with a washroom and the nearest which is out side the pool and next to the reception was out of service. The pool was unhygienic. I will never recommend this place. This was n... Read more

Loved the room in the corner and on the ground floor. Only bad thing about the room was the cleanliness . Around the basin it was sticky and then there was a long black hair. The service at the front desk was atrocious, the staff didn't know what to do upon checkout

The hotel had a great location for where we wanted to be in Calgary and it was the cheapest option we could find but it was a completely fine room and the staff were polite. Just be aware there are no elevators so be prepared to carry your luggage up several flights of stairs.

We had two rooms. One for myself and my wife and one for my mother in law. Our bed had a deep canyon on half of it, very soft and probably should have been replaced a couple of years ago. I discovered a couple of small ants crawling on me through the night and awoke with a couple bites on my my legs. Can not say if these were acquired here or not. My MIL was upstairs and also had a sour bed. There was a party that went on all night that interfered with her sleep. Rooms were not up to date at ... Read more

We arrived in town during Stampede Week and could not believe our luck. Our suite was spacious, comfortable, clean, and made our 3 day stay so pleasant. The pool is clean and attractive, the complimentary breakfast offers several options very suitable for travellers. The hotel location is great for getting around, and handy to shopping.

Arrived after a long haul flight and was asked at reception if we wanted a room at one end to the complex or the other, I requested the quietest room. We were allocated a room, with air-conditioning outside the door that was nothing equivalent to an industrial chiller noise. The quietest room I think not. We requested to move, and was allocated a room closer to the reception area. This room was a little more acceptable and certainly quieter. The cleanliness was not up to standard, the rooms date... I've stayed here several times in recent years. It is a handy location for the things I want and the price is even better these days, most likely due to the local economy softening. The staff and service are fine. The free breakfast is adequate but it seems the variety has been reduced. No problems with the room, everything worked properly and it was completely clean. Carpet seemed a bit tired of being washed a lot. This time I stayed in the section that includes the reception and pool area, not... Read more

Comfortable and clean accommodation. Hiwever it lacked good eateries within walking distance. We ate at the Cheesecake Factory across the road and were disappointed worth the lack of service. We had a good breakfast included in our accommodation cost.

We stayed here, wife and 2 small children, on way to Banff. First night, loud neighbors. Called desk, shut the noise down. Next night, new visitors, loud starting at 1:30 AM. Called front desk and they shut it down. Talk to Melyssa at the front desk and said I was cancelling my stay on my way back from Banff. Listed problems with room so she moved us to a newly renovated room. Checked in for return stay a week later. Newly renovated room. Very nice, new kitchenette. Once again, terrib... Read more

Manager is extremely rude. His name is Ali. He's got a big mouth. When he's not busy kissing the owner he's being rude to customers. Doesn't help that almost every room has bed bugs. Dirty dishes in the drawers. Stained beds and sheets. Constant banging with the construction. But no they don't tell you there's construction until your woken up by it. Worst hotel ever. The management sucks so bad.

We stay in this hotel for a week on late July 2016. Although the hotel has gone through a whole renovation in their rooms, they seem to have been done with cheap labor and materials, which really affects the experience. There is food nearby, as well as shopping. It is close to the Chinook Centre, so that is a plus. Besides, it is one of the cheapest and decent options, considering that also includes breakfast. Although breakfast is exactly the same everyday (lacks on variety) it was at least $2... Read more

The lobby has that damp smell from the pool when you walk in, but once you get away from the lobby the smell is gone. No elevator to the 2nd floor and no one to help me as I struggled to get my bag up the stairs. Room was decently clean, nice crisp sheets and a continental breakfast in the morning. It was ok and a place to sleep - I'd stay there again if I had to. About $80 for the night.

We selected ELS bc of its close proximity to the airport(20mins), competitive rates. We were not disappointed. The friendly front desk staff accommodated our early arrival & our request to a ground floor room. Rm 123 with 2 Q,fridge, micro,tv was spotless. The bed extremely comfortable with high end linens. The continental breakfast included waffles, egg, bagels, cereal etc & a staff was present ensuring the area was clean. There is also a small gym & pool. We were impressed with the facilities & ... THE GOOD Great Location close to major routes, fast to Spruce Meadows, Glenmore SW, and lots of good restaurants nearby. A fantastic pool/hot-tub area, super clean but a bit too large for us and somewhat overwhelming with a viewing area from the lobby‚?¶. Front office reception staff were excellent during our entire stay including check-in and check-out. Room well provided with excellent flat screen TV& great picture. For the first two days great room service from the floor attendant. THE BAD A... Read more

We stayed here for the convenience of being close to the eye doctor, and it was our 3rd visit. The staff are always exceptional with our requests, and have been very friendly. The room was spacious (ground floor), and the pool was never over-full. Beds were extremely comfortable. We will be back again!

We stayed at this hotel one night. We needed a place nearby to a two day series of medical appointments. The room was clean, the furnishings and fittings quite up to date for a budget motel. Parking was good, the breakfast was okay. No protein, except for boiled eggs, but otherwise pretty normal. We had a check-in glitch because the room we were given had not been cleaned, so we were upgraded without any fuss to a more convenient room. The pool is big and there are two hot tubs. Again, for a bu... Read more
