Excellent rates, great features. Only used the room for the evening for some playtime with a girlfriend, but the room was great as was the price. The only drawback was limited check in staff. When I checked out later in the evening there was only 1 person at the counter handling all customers and it took 25 minutes.

On the day we arrived, we noticed that there was very little hot water coming to the bathroom. We called the front desk and they said it may take some time for the hot water to come up to the third floor. Later on when we tried it, it came out cold even after a half hour of running the hot tap. Other things liking they took our towels after cleaning the room and had to ask for some back, twice. The room was clean,

Woke up at 3 this morning with police everywhere cleaning up a huge brawl. I guess this could happen anywhere but in my many years of travel I've never seen anything like this. We had a young girls' team staying here. Doesn't feel like the safest place. Also echo hot water comment. Little to none. And walks very thin. You can hear everything. Don't expect much sleep.

We stayed two nights here, our room was spacious and comfortable, we enjoyed the large indoor pool and hot tub. There is a little souvenir shop in the lobby and we spent some time at the bar there, as a group we all enjoyed the fact that there was a bar restaurant we enjoyed the bar food but seriously thought that the alcohol had been watered down. Parking was covered so that was good. Check in took forever as there were four couples however staff were friendly and helpful. Just a short walk dow... Read more

Rooms appear clean, and staff is friendly and accommodating, BUT.... they appear to be understaffed, as there was only one person at the desk for both check in & check out, so it took a long time to do both, with customers lined up and phone calls being taken by the one person at the desk. Walls are paper thin. Could hear neighbours talking and their tv which wasnt loud. Had to run the hot water for a minimum of 5 minutes before being able to have a "warm" shower. Stayed here on May 21, 2016, and there was people running around the hallways naked, 14 cop cars, 2 paddy wagons and two ambulances just in the parking lot. Our room was facing McLeod Trail, there was 6 cop cars, 1 ambulance and a woman screaming at the top of her lungs. Our room looked like it had a disco ball in from the amount of lights. Checking in to the hotel was a nightmare. Both suites that were reserved 5 months ago weren't ready. One suite was 80% ready so our kids could change to go s... Read more

Days Inn Calgary South was great. The service was quick and effieicent. The staff was also very friendly. The rooms were clean, and well maintained. The continental breakfast had a good variety of food choices, definitely more than the average Canadian hotel. The pool was a good size, also very clean. Also the price for the room was very affordable. Next time we are in Calgary we will be staying there again!

Room was very standard and pretty clean. Somewhat updated bathroom and newer carpets. The included breakfast was pretty poor. They ran out of bagles, fruit and juice multiple times and the options were limited. Located on a busy road on one side and the train on the other, so it gets a little noisy. It worked well enough for us though, being close to the places we wanted to visit. The rates are slightly below the Calgary average so you get what you pay for.

Parking was absolutely horrible. The underground parking lot was something that you would see in a horror film. So don't ever go down there. There was people doing unmentionables in the corner of the parking lot . We were not asked for our Wyndham rewards number. The girl on the front desk I was having a hard time understanding her so she had to keep repeating her her self, you could tell she was getting frustrated. The room was not bad . We weren't expecting anything nice, but this was worse than we thought. The room smelled of stale cigarette smoke even though the hotel is non-smoking, the shower would not stay at a comfortable temperature, and it was overall pretty dumpy. The lobby area is renovated, but the rooms could use a lot of work.

We chose this hotel mostly because of its short distance to downtown. A low price helped too. The hotel has nice curb appeal and had plenty of parking. The lobby is nice. We were checked in quickly with no difficulties. After checking in I decided to use the fitness facilities. There were only a few machines, and they were starting to get worn out. They weren't terrible by any means, but management should probably look at replacing them sometime soon. The room itself was fine. The beds were... Read more

Outstanding Staff. Like a family. Quiet clean comfortable room which is just what I needed after along week. Close proximity to shopping and coffee shops, both Tim Hortons and Starbucks in 3-5 minutes. Busy hotel but room for everyone. Both families groups and solo travellers were accommodated very well. I would suggest this property to all travellers looking for a great stay, great price and close proximity to main venues.

My daughter and I traveled to Calgary for a swim meet and stayed for 4 nights. The hotel was a great price (less than $400 for 4 nights), clean, relatively quiet, and the staff was polite and efficient. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel as we needed to be at the pool for warmups very early. The only suggestions I would have would be that in-room microwaves would be very nice, and our fridge was not ever cold enough to store anything perishable in, although not everyone would need this. At arrival our room was not ready and we had to wait 45mins. First room was very noisy and dusty. Our second room ceiling leaked and made the one bed unavailable due to the water. At checkout the front desk was not apologetic nor cared about our experience. The breakfast was poor quality and the hotel staff was yelling at people as it was crowded and nowhere to sit.

Our family stayed July 9-11 and can not say enough good things about our room keepers. When our daughter took I'll and I approached her for extra trash bags she was so kind to offer extra towels and even offered to get juice or water for our child. She went well beyond her duties! I stayed in this hotel for 3 consecutive nights. I will not be staying in this hotel again for these reasons: (1) Upon getting to the room I was assigned, I realized I need an extra towel so I phoned the Front Desk. The lady who picked up my call asked me to come down to get the towel rather than have it delivered to my room. I thought this is not a good customer service. (2) The shower tub was slippery. I have to call Front Desk to express my concern about the risk of injuring myself or a... Read more

When I got to this hotel I was happy with how it looked on the inside and how I walked in and there was no line up I had a front desk Tiffany help me with my check in and had great customer service from her. During my stay I had issues with the wifi and having no clean towels. I had asked the front desk for help and Tiffany was there to help me with my issue and resolve them right away. Even when I had no towels Tiffany went the extra mile to bring them to my room. The breakfast was aweful a... Read more

We stayed at the Days for 1 night 2 weeks ago. I booked the room on-line and was surprise about the room rate $80 and it included breakfast too. Our room was on the second floor and it was quiet at night. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Bathroom was clean too. Basically the room was basic but functional and it is all you need for a short hotel stay. I have to say that the free breakfast was a little disappointing. It includes coffee, tea, juice, sausage, scrambled egg, toast, yogurt, ce... Read more

Didn't really have much dealings with the staff but they seamed nice and friendly on check-in/out. Was just me and the wife so didn't use the pool but looked a good space for the kids...... the hotel is older and I found it out dated but was clean.

We went to Calgary for a concert at the Saddle Dome so the hotel was in a great location. Checking in was quick and the service was very good. The room was nice, comfortable and clean! It is a bit outdated and could use an upgrade though but for the price and the amenities it had it is a pretty good value. Checking out I had a different experience. There was only one lady working so there was a long line of people checking out and she wasn't the friendliest person to deal with. She was rude to t... Read more

We were in Calgary for a concert at the Saddledome, so the location of the hotel was good; conveniently located to the c-train. My main complaint would be the check out, there were 3 of us in line and it took 30 minutes for me to finally check out. For a Sunday morning check-out you think they would have more than one staff member at the desk.

Clean and convenient. Bathroom could have used a little more attention. Replacement shampoo missed.

Very disappointed. Barely warm water - needed to run for 5min before hot water flowed. Sink emptied so slowly, filled to near overflowing waiting for the water to warm up. Wrinkled sheets, looked as if someone had slept in the bed. Paid in full to avoid lengthy checkout in the morning - to no avail, morning desk clerk asked me the same questions several times, appearing not to pay attention to my answers. Tricky access, poor signage from MacLeod Trail going south. The only bright spot was the de... Read more

We chose this hotel because it was so close to the C train. However, the rug in the room was stained and did not lay flat. The bedside lamps would not turn on, using any of the room switches. We complained but no one came to help. The bathrooms in the restaurant were not available so needed to use the ones in the lobby area. Neither stall had functioning locks and one toilet was plugged. Too many little things added up to make it an unpleasant stay.

we had a nice 1 night stay, simple older hotel, we had a clean room although a bit musty. i chose this hotel for the price and it was close to where we need to go. breakfast was ok although the scrambled eggs could be better. i would love to come back next time and find the bathrooms toiletries filled according to number of occupants and to have a shower for pool area. we might come back!

Clean enough, but the carpet was lifted from the floor (I tripped on it) and the walls are thin.

Room was average... what you get for the price. The walls seemed a little thin. Partying neighbors kept me up but the House looked after them.

Recently stayed here for 2 nights. Check in was pretty quick, very friendly front desk staff. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. The room we had though, was located directly above a bar that I don't believe is affiliated with the hotel (not sure of that though), and also faced MacLeod Trail. Fortunately I was tired enough both nights that I slept through the noise, but my husband was woken up by it. We were placed on a lower level, whether this is because we were booked on our points card, ... Read more

Hotel was fine, location was great for where I needed to go. Walls are thin you can hear people talking in the next room very clearly, the door also had a big gap at the bottom so a lot of light would shine through and the top safety latch on the door was broken off.

The room was perfectly clean and modernized. The water in the bathroom was warm, the water pressure was decent, and the bathtub was large enough to stretch out in with room to spare. The staff treated us well during check in and check out and were prompt to provide room service. Would go again, really enjoyed the weekend.

We have stayed here 3 years in a row. Great location close to train. Breakfast included and a pool which was nice. Each year the staff make the stay. Extremely friendly and accommodating. For the money it can't be beat.

We stayed here for a weekend get away , a total of three nights ! Check on was fairly easy, there was a slight hiccup due to a miscommunication on the booking agents behalf but the front desk guy Kamal, thought of a solution rather quickly and had us checked in within minutes. Kamal is a super star there , the whole weekend he was great and always made sure we were comfortable and had a good time and always had great suggestions , we also had a problem with our first room and he quickly switched... I stayed at the Days Inn Calgary South because I was attending a conference in the city. The location was perfect, only 10 minutes drive to downtown. The room was clean, the staff were friendly, and I appreciated the free parking. The complimentary continental breakfast had a wide array of options. I enjoyed my stay and would stay again! :-)
