My fiancee and two other couples spent the night on Saturday. We all found the hotel to amazing. The cost was very fair and location was perfect. We had some room service brought up by a very friendly staff member. And the food was very good. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

I recently stayed at this Calgary Marriott, the service is not bad if you are gold or platinum elite member for Marriott. The reason I said that because I had not so happy experience with the front desk staff. I walked in to the hotel front desk for check-in like other guests, I am elite platinum member so I wait at the line said "Elite member only". When I was on the line up, there was a gentleman suddenly cut my line, passed in front of me and the font desk staff did not say anything to him bu... Read more

We spent one night at the Calgary Marriott Downtown Hotel after my wife was provided with a complimentary night due to staying at other Marriott properties for work quite a bit. We were very impressed! After valeting the car at the front ($20 for the night during the weekend) the check-in process was very straight forward. It was my wife's birthday and they upgraded us to a junior suite. We went up to our room and were very impressed with the newly renovated rooms. The bathroom is great and th... Read more

Great location and excellent service. The hotel staff is very friendly and attentive. This hotel is adjacent to Stephen Ave so you're right in the middle of the action but it's also noisy at night if your room faces Stephen Ave. overall, the hotel is clean and modern and the rooms are large and comfortable.

First time I've been here since the renovations were done. Well done, Marriott! The place looks and feels great. Front counter staff were amazingly helpful, courteous, and happy. Definitely recommend the new restaurant 18 Emporium. The breakfast buffet was really good and the service here outstanding as well.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel, the friendliness and cleanliness and walking distance to attractions and stores. The only suggestion I would make is to clarify the WiFi fee. Upon signing up, it says there is a dollar value per day yet it does not charge the room, which is great but it can be confusing. I would definitely recommend it to others.

Hotel is a very modern facility in a great location close to all downtown sites. I stayed at the Downtown Calgary Marriott as part of a convention with a large group of attendees. The hotel was able to easily handle the number of guest checking in and out at same times. A shout out to the Hotel housekeeping staff for any excellent job of keeping rooms spotless.

She upgraded us to a corner suite overlooking Stephen Avenue and recommended the $40/couple M Club which included anytime snacks/beverages as well as breakfast the next morning. Well worth the value. This hotel is very central and is very well run. It's right next to Calgary Tower. The rooms are as expected but with a nice touch in the design. We stayed two people in one room and if you want breakfast the price is then pretty much the same if you get lounge access instead, which include breakfast and 24/7 snacks, drinks etc. You are welcome to bring it to your room as well. I used the swimmingpool a couple of time. Nice and clean and you have it pretty much for yourself.

When checking in we were given a room with a king bed and a "sofa" that made into a bed. We had requested 2 queen beds as there were 3 people in our party. The "sofa" bed was actually the pillows removed from a small sectional sofa and sheets made up. I am just slightly over 5 feet tall and my feet touched the night stand attached to the King size...not a great sleep, convention rate or not...will think twice before booking here again.

Rooms are fairly recently renovated and always clean. They can still be noisy from next door and hallway. Like the upscale showers and great beds. Adjustable table is great for work too. Dislike that they don't have the "self park" option anymore. Didn't try the bar this time but it is always busy. Friendly staff but can be a long line to check in, recommend the app and online check in.

I stay in a lot of hotels and this one is lovely, as you'd expect. What sets it apart is the extraordinary staff. From the front desk, to th valets, to the staff in the M Club, they just never stopped being wonderful and generous. We never had to ask, they were there with a friendly smile and out of the box service. We were not easy guests, but they made our stay a memorable one.

There are two Marriott hotels in downtown Calgary, close to one another. One is the Delta Marriott, the other is the Calgary Marriott, which is just opposite the Calgary Tower - a great landmark. Be sure you are at the right one before trying to check in! Downtown Marriott is wonderful. Fabulous service from the time you arrive. Rooms are spacious, super-clean and well-equipped - felt like they had just been renovated. If you get elite service, their club on the 2nd floor provides a delicio... Read more

I spent 2 evenings at the Marriott while attending a conference in the convention center. Everything about my stay was exceptional! Even though the lobby was packed upon arrival, check-in was quick and easy and staff was very friendly. The some what recently renovated rooms are beautiful and the bed was amazing! Staff was friendly and polite, rooms were clean and quiet and anything that was needed was immediately provided. On my second evening I placed my breakfast room service card outside, w... Read more

I loved your downtown Marriott hotel because of the friendly staff; I felt very welcomed there! I am an aboriginal women and have prominent features that at times have caused service providers to be 'not so friendly' and 'not so nice.' It was refreshing to be approached in a positive manner by your friendly staff at the hotel.

I used to stay here a lot when I worked Downtown but in the past year I have been staying closer to the Airport. Imagine my surprise then when upon entering the hotel I was warmly greeted by Adriana who remembered my name! Further, her assistant Eddy did too...I have always said that Marriott trains their staff very well as you always receive a great welcome...and nothing is too much trouble for them. The hotel has undergone significant modernization and it looks very classy...I will be back ver... Read more

The reception and other staff were very professional and friendly but were at a loss to explain why the bed hadn't been changed after the previous guest had vacated.Apart from that the room was very clean, well decorated and had great views from the eighteenth floor out to the skyline, city and surrounding countryside.Excellent room service for both dinner and breakfast. The maids need to be a little more tactful about what time you are departing when its only 8am and checkout is 11.

Quiet and clean and nicely renovated. Valet service was great. walking distance to variety of restaurants and shopping. Quick access to Macloud Trail and Deerfoot' Construction in downtown was a bit annoying but I guess that is just seasonal.

Excellent hotel. Staff was great. Room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Location only a 15 minute walk from BMO center but Taxi's were happy to make the trip. Full service Starbucks on the side of the lobby was fantastic! Several really good restaurants & bars on site or within a block or two. Highly recommend if you need to be downtown.

Loved this hotel. Kind people and great service. Only downside is that you have to pay for the internet. Other than that it's a fantastic place to stay. Highly recommend it. I love how there is a Starbucks in the lobby!

Don't stay there unless you have lots of time to spare waiting in line for the reception while they sort our your bill. It was a simple situation - I was sharing a room with a friend who arrived earlier and left later than I did. In addition the Conference I attended was paying for 3 nights and was paying for 3 additional nights. This situation involved talking to several staff and finally the manager, many phone calls, one meeting with staff, my friend and Conference staff when apparently it wa... Read more

been here first week of october, stayed for 2 nights. modern, clean and tidy room, comfy beds, nice bath, it is something you want for a hotel when you are traveling. staffs were friendly and nice, check in took a little while but front desk was so nice so it doesn't matter falling in line a bit. very convenient in location too, few blocks away from some restaurants and shops. and shot walk to telus convention, which was my main purpose in calgary. great place to stay,

Complimentary water upon check in is very much appreciated - especially if you're familiar with how dry Calgary can be! Very responsive staff. Room tends to get very hot - 82 degrees on average - there is an adjustable thermostat but the fan is too loud to keep running while sleeping so cooled it down during the day and let the temps creep up overnight.

Desk staff was very professional, helpful and efficient. They were even cheerful at 6 AM when we checked out. Housekeeping "de-feathered" our room when we checked in at 11pm quickly and made sure the room was as we needed before he left. The food during our meetings made me wish the meetings were longer. Very impressed with the staff which reflects well on the management.

This is probably the nicest Marriott I've seen. Nice downtown location, really nice decor. The staff is great. The restaurant is great with great staff. There are lots of really nice restaurants nearby. Its right across from the Calgary tower. If you stay, ask for a high floor. My only problem was street noise and lack of white noise in the room to drown out the street noise. the Calgary Downtown Marriott is situated in the perfect spot for visiting Calgary. it is across the street from the Calgary Tower and backs on the famous Stephen Avenue pedestrian street. Two blocks north is the metro stop that opens up the entire city of Calgary. The hotel is updated and presents a fresh and wholesome face to the guests. The hotels "M" Club is one the top lounges in the Marriott stable. Calgary Downtown Marriott is thoroughly enjoyable for business or pleasure.

Stayed here for work the venue was fantastic and service was top notch. My only gripe would be that I was given 2 double bed and I was by myself. I understand the hotel was booked but other people in our group got Kings and they where not Gold status members such as myself.

Great location. Standard Marriott quality. Staff consistently go out of their way to please. The only glitches for me on this stay were the bugs in new technical forays for Marriott. I used the new "Mobile Key" feature, allowing my iPhone to be used as the room key, elevator key and pass to the M Club Lounge. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't - especially at the door of the M Club Lounge, which was sort of embarrassing - making it seem like I was trying to crash the door. Also, I us... Read more

Not our first visit to this location. Consistently clean with friendly staff. There is a bit of street noise if you're in a room on the 9th Avenue side - but you might have a mountain view between the buildings. The service and variety of food/beverages in the M Lounge on the second floor were EXCELLENT. Unexpected treat to have 24 hour access to a high end coffee brew system and beverages/snacks, not to mention a hot breakfast from 6:00 AM onwards.
