Very impressed with the staff who were warm, friendly, understanding and very willing to cater to our needs. The room was clean and very comfortable, cleaning staff left us a note each day to wish us well during our stay a nice touch. The hotel was quiet the breakfast was a great start to our day. This hotel is priced higher than some others in the area but well worth the money you get what you pay for in my book.

We requested a wheelchair accessible room which we received. Room was average but nothing extra included for a hugh room charge. The hair dryer didn't work, no fridge and no microwave or coffee maker. When asked at the desk if the room fee was the best they could do the answer was yes that's the rate and they are going up. Two weekends before we stayed at another holiday inn and the rate was significantly lower and only an hour away from Brockville. Only positive note was from the cleaning crew ... Read more

I loved my stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Brockville. I stayed just last week and the woman who greeted me was super friendly and sweet. She was quick to check me and my family in and was very helpful with all my questions. The room was clean wonderful! In the morning I had a great breakfast and the staff was excellent! The housekeeping was also very friendly! Overall my stay was awesome and I will be coming back soon!!

I've traveled the world and value excellent service. Politeness, friendliness and knowledge about the amenities and facility is so important to one's stay. Thank you Holiday Inn for employing Alicia. Her service today was tier 1. You can tell she is a proud member of your team.

*Note: My rating is based on how the hotel met my expectations, not if I think it is 3 stars, or 4, etc. My wife and I stayed here May 31-June 2, 2016 for 2 nights. The hotel is very modern and clean. The front desk staff was very friendly and courteous. Check in took literally 2 minutes. There is free freshly made popcorn in the lobby for a few hours in the evening. Free Globe and Mail newspapers daily. Room was clean, beds comfortable, housekeeping did a good job. The housekeeping staff are immaculate cleaners and have a polite approach with guests. I especially appreciated the complementary tic tacs, water bottle, pen and notepad left by the housekeepers. Housekeeping management which includes, Stella and Supervisor Rachel were excellent in making sure my room was more than satisfactory during my stay. Front desk were helpful and provided excellent service at a lower rate due to personal reasons. Carley especially treated us with compassion. The hot... Read more

Stayed there for a night after finding Cornwall booked solid. Almost two hundred bucks for a two queen that are rock hard with cheap sheets and stereotypical bad hotel pillows. Room was highway side so the constant drone of the highway greets you, but dont worry; thry offer earplugs.... This quality level should be half the price from a mom and pop. A national chain should be better then bargain basement from the 1990s.

I stayed at this holiday inn for business during the latter part of May. The hotel was clean and tidy, the staff was friendly and of course it offered a complementary breakfast service that was, as expected, well prepared. I would recommend this location

It's always good to find hotels -and a hotel chain that keeps trying to be better when others don't. This hotel has a good selection of fitness, pool, breakfast room to please any family. The front desk is very helpful and nothing is amiss. That's what you want!

Staff were very helpful and courteous. The hotel (public areas & rooms) were clean and well kept. It was nice to have tea available at all times. Breakfast was good. I would stay here again. We stopped here on our way home from PEI and decided to stay an extra night so we could take the boat tour around the 1000 Islands.

Excellent hotel, breakfast, pool and the staff was helpful on several occasions. On one occasion though, I found one female staff member to be quite cold. On that occasion we came there late for check in (because my father was in palliative care) the lady at the front desk would not lower the price for the circumstances. I found that to be a bit rigid. We chose to go elsewhere. We will not be back because we found this staff member to be lacking compassion. We instead stayed at the Comfort Inn n... Read more

Overall decent place to stay and room was clean. Had to ask to move to the other side of the hotel due to the traffic from the 401 being very noisy! The manager did accommodate this request for us. Breakfast was ok just wish they had healthier options and a couple gluten free options as well would be nice. We were surprised to not find a mini fridge in the room as well.

From the reception desk to housekeeping to the entire staff, everyone was very helpful and we were treated like part of their family. Of all the many places we have stayed at it ranks as one of the best. Carly, you and your staff are amazing and very helpful and friendly. We highly recommend this hotel for people looking for a great place to stay. Thank you from the Dubois Family [Jim, Kim and Kaleigh]

Very clean and modern. Convenient 24-hour gym, although it is small and not very well-equipped, nice pool and whirlpool. Good breakfast, friendly staff. They give you earplugs in the room for the traffic noise, but I didn't even notice we were right beside the 401 until the next morning. Not the cheapest hotel, but definitely superior to the others along that strip.

Our suite was awesome! I loved the completely separate seating area with second television. Everything g was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. We enjoyed the pool... Probably spent close to 2-3hrs in the pool and hot tub switching back and forth. Some other families came and went but it was never "full." The breakfast was wonderful. They have an awesome pancake maker that everyone in my family is still talking about. Overall wonderful stay!

I have stayed at this hotel twice in the past year and I was really impressed with the rooms, the service, the facilities, and the cleanliness of the rooms and common areas. The complimentary breakfast was also very nice. It is also close to many businesses in the areas such as restaurants making the location very convenient. However, if you get a room facing the adjacent highway (Highway 401), be prepared for a lot of noise. I think the hotel was built just a little too close to the highway... Read more

We checked into the HIE for an overnight stay and we were pleasantly supised. We were immediately greeted by super friendly staff. Even though we arrived earlier than the check in time, the staff rushed up to get our room ready for us. The doors are soft close so no noisy bang when you're trying to sleep.free breakfast too. We even got a late check out. I will stay here again.

We stayed two nights and our three extended family members stayed one.The hotel itself was fine. Room was clean as expected, staff courteous ,breakfast was good and the location if you can put up with the noise from the 401 highway was good. Lots of parking available. As per industry standard a valid charge card and photo ID is required at check in. But we were stunned to discover that this Hotel just doesn't hold your charge card on file for any charges that may be required, such as damage or th... Read more

On my last visit to Brockville I stayed at one of the cheaper chain hotels and lived to regret it. So this time I paid (significantly) more to stay here and was happy I did. Good, clean room, well maintained hotel and relatively good breakfast (gets crowded though). I had a room facing Highway 401 but didn't have any particular problems with noise. If you're concerned about it, though, follow the advice of others here and ask for a room on the opposite side. My main complaint was the wifi... Read more

Our family visited this hotel this past weekend. We used to live in the area and this hotel was being built just as we were leaving the area. We stayed there 7 years ago and were impressed. This weekend? What a disappointment. The staff were very friendly but that's where the compliments end. The hotel has sadly fallen into poor repair. We got the last room they had and it was a Suite. A bit pricey but well worth it. There are three hotels off the 401 in Brockville. I would highly recommend calling ahead to make reservations. I would prefer to expound on the pros for this visit, but the cons outweigh and overshadowed the entire stay. I would not recommend this hotel or wish to return. - The bed was too hard, like sleeping on sheet metal, - With the hotel so empty, and they were out of towels in the pool, - No available WiFi, and - Our largest issue was a sever lack of customer relations due to ??Firm Hotel Policy?? Due to our national corporation??s policy, we do not book ??unrefundable?? rooms. Yet somehow, ... Read more

Room was dusty, you could write your name in the dust behind tv. Carpet was thread bare. Obviously a very busy hotel in summer because of 1000 islands & tall ships. In need of a complete upgrade. Breakfast was simple but the plastic forks & knives were the cheapest of the cheap. You could not spread butter with the knives & coffee pots were empty. This was in a quiet period. Anyone thinking of staying in HIE would be much better in Gananoque.
