Did the Alpine Ski and Stay package. Room was a deluxe 2 Queen Valley. Space, cleanliness was all excellent. Small fridge would have been nice to have microwave in room but none. Bathroom was phenomenal with separate soaker tub and large shower stall. Did find we needed to have the gas fireplace on a lot as that part of the room (2 steps down from main area) was much colder...perhaps windows need replacing? The pool and hot tub were nice albeit the pool is quite small. Hubby checked out workout... Read more

Beyond disappointing. Staff seem inconvenienced by guests From the employee directing traffic in the parking lot, to check in at the Inn, to the rental payment desk, to the Crazy Horse grill...not one staff member met basic expectations for adequate customer service. Management is no where to be found. While it's a busy spot with little competition... I'd strongly recommend avoiding it. Also, guest rooms are not sound proofed. Could hear everything happening in next room and in hallway t... Read more

I recently stayed with my husband at the Inn in room 139. We live a few hours away from the resort and I thought this would be a nice weekend away. I was very disappointed with what we received for the cost of a hotel (and "resort fees"). Think travel lodge with a boutique hotel price tag. Hotel: Have you ever stayed at a hotel when a hockey tournament was in the same town? This was the general "ambience" I got from the hotel. Constant noise and unsupervised children running around . We visited Horseshoe Valley Resort in late December with our 2 kids. We were enticed by a new offer for unlimited snow tubing and unlimited pasta for $22.99 and that got the kids on board. We confirmed this promotion would be on when we called to book the room and changed our reservation to a nicer room as a result. Unfortunately, however, by the time we arrived, the date for the promotion had changed, so the trip ended up costing us more than we anticipated -- which was a real disappointment, s... Read more

We've been coming to Horseshoe every New Years Eve for the last 5 years. We usually do some tubing and skiing/snowboarding, and then they have fireworks at 10pm and we catch a bite to eat in the Crazy Horse while watching the Can/USA World Jr's game. Then we stay in Orillia at the Stone Gate Inn, which is always fantastic. This year we decided to come New Years Day instead and treat ourselves to staying in the hotel right at Horseshoe. It is cheaper to stay any night other than New Years Ev... Read more

We paid for a 2 hour tubing session. The facility is not well organized. First, the facility did not have enough tubes for everyone. We had to wait at the bottom for people who finished their runs to give up their tubes so we could get tubes. Then, after we got up to the top of the runs, we waited 20-30 minutes (this is not a typo!) before it was our turn to go down. The lines were really really long. People were going down one at a time. Once someone went down the run, they would slide p... Read more

We booked 2 "premium" rooms (5th floor) in the Slopeside Tower (504 & 505) but I would not say it was a "premium" experience. We had booked for 3 nights & 4 days (Thur to Sunday) as a family fun filled weekend. As others have noted, the rooms were not available until 4:00 pm. Front desk staff were nice. Our first impression of the "premium" rooms was of a bit of disappointment. While there is a small room/area just inside the entrance, suitable for ski equipment there was not a coat hook in ... There aren't many slopes for skiing, but enough for a couple of days of fun. It's definitely worth the price, they have good deals for skiing and staying the night and the room is great. (I only went on winter, so I don't know about summer activities)

Stayed in the horseshoe resort and met great people, multilevel room and nice hot and cold breakfast. The night was spent across the road in the crazy horse- Alpine Room for an event. This was also great. Food was fantastic, staff were lovely. We really had a wonderful time.

This was a fun "long weekend" getaway for the four of us (me, my wife, 6 year old, and 6 month old). My six-year old daughter and my wife enjoyed skiing during the day, but the hills are so close, they would stop in and see us when they were tired and for lunch. We used the pool a few times over the course of the weekend (which was very nice) and we enjoyed a nice dinner at the main restaurant one evening. All in all, a great weekend away!
