This was the first hotel on our recent Cambodia/Vietnam tour. Outside it looks nothing but inside it was a bit like the tardis. It was spotlessly clean and although the rooms were pretty basic they again were really clean. It's location is great just two minutes from Pub Street although there is no noise. Staff are really friendly and it was a good hotel.

I found this hotel through Trip Advisor, and rooms appeared to be $15 booking through Expedia. When I asked at the hotel they said their rooms were $29 so I mentioned Expedia. They couldn't have been more helpful - they let me use their (free) wi fi to book via Expedia and were more than happy to honour the $15 rate for a twin air-conditioned room including breakfast. The room was very well appointed for a budget hotel, with en suite facilities, fridge 7 TV. The staff were absolutely lovely. V... Read more

The location was great just a few streets away from pub street, you can walk it there in 5 mins. The hotel is clean and staff is very nice and helpful. The AC in the room wasn't great and there was no AC in common area as well. The hotel have their own tuk tuk and the drivers are very nice. I would stay here again. Would come here again

Holiday wasn't organised by ourselves, but by Citrus travel so we didn't personally book this hotel, but would have no hesitation in doing so. On arrival we were checked in and asked to leave our shoes in reception, slippers were available and shoes were not expected to be worn in the hotel, which I thought was a nice custom. Our room was fairly basic but very comfortable and had all the essentials (especially Air Con). Staff are a real asset to this hotel and are really friendly and helpful, l... Read more

Villa Medamrei is just down the road from a ton of restaurants and bars at Pub Street. The hotel is charming and they greeted us with delicious cool lemongrass tea in the lobby. The room was spacious, clean and well kept. My only complaint is that the power in this area of the city was out for days, and although the hotel had a generator they would cut it off for hours at a time and the room would quickly heat up to intolerable levels, which only really made a difference in the early morning as ... This is seriously the BEST place ever, I don't know where to begin! We booked at the last minute and requested airport pickup but assumed they wouldn't receive the message in time- to our surprise, they did! Super polite, reliable staff escorted us to our BEAUTIFUL hotel, minutes walking away from the night markets and pub street. We were greeted by the friendly staff with a delicious welcome drink. This is by far the cleanest, most modern hotel we've seen in all of SE Asia. The next day we trie... Read more

Upon arrival we were asked to remove our shoes and the guy insisted to take my luggage. A fresh welcome drink was offered to us and staff speak very good English. The room was very clean. Wifi and lighting needs a good upgrade. I would definately recommend this hotel.

Villa Medamrei was the perfect place to stay! Right from the beginning I was welcomed with a drink and snack and lots of advice for visiting the Angkor Temples. I arrived at 6am and the staff worked their hardest to allow me to check in early which I appreciated greatly. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable, the wifi connection was great, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again. Highly recommended!

Very good location , close to the very busy night market and the bustle of pub street. Very quiet location but lots of interesting restaurants in the surrounding area. Great breakfast and smiling service.

I stayed at the Medamrai for almost a week and enjoyed my stay. It's within easy walking distance of downtown Siem Reap and all that it offers (mostly bars and restaurants). The staff at the hotel is friendly and helpful. They will help you set up tuk-tuk rentals or help you find your way around town. The hotel is spotlessly clean and there's a very pleasant restaurant on the second floor, which is good for quick meals if you don't feel like walking 500 meters (or less) to Pub Street. The br... I have stayed here before and always loved it. Although service is usually good in most of the Siem Reap hotels, the Villa Medamrei is exceptional. You name it....they will help you get it, from tuk tuks, tour guides, recommendations for the best pharmacies, and the list goes on and on. I highly recommend a relaxing breakfast in their open air restaurant upstairs. Stumbling barefoot each morning into their upstairs porch , relaxing in the soft couches with the morning breeze and enjoying a grea... Read more

I and my friends recently travelled Cambodia and we booked this place for our stay. It was such a nice and quite place to stay and the staffs were so friendly and helpful and they helped us with our travel questions very honestly. The welcome manner was so warm and the drinks was great. As a off season clients, they happily upgraded our accommodation. I can happily recommend to anyone who prefer simple family run resorts in a reasonable price. Though Cambodia is really cheap and you can get chea... Read more

Everyone at Villa Medamrei made our 5 days a great trip in Asia. Rooms were nice, food excellent, and the Cambodian people were so gracious. It is courteous to remove shoes at the doors when entering the hotel. The staff and our tuc-tuc driver made our experience awesome. My husband & I loved Cambodia and the people. I would suggest bringing brim hat, sunscreen, (bug spray) and especially sunglasses that are large to cover well around eyes and purchase a cloth mask for tuc-tuc - lots of dust on ... Read more

Stayed for 3 nights and despite being completely satisfied with the room (very clean, comfortable and modern) it is unfortunate that I must give Villa Medamrei a bad review. The staff, at first, were very friendly and helpful... Until we had an issue when checking out. Upon doing laundry with them they stated the price to be $2 dollars per kg (fairly pricey for SEA but we needed it done so didn't mind paying the bill of $20 dollars in total). When they returned our laundry they accidentally l... Read more

We had such a lovely stay here. The hotel is beautiful and our room was clean and comfortable. We were greeted with banana chips and welcome drinks and a chance to sit down while checking in which was so nice after the bus ride from PP. A shout out to May who was so nice and helpful and really made us feel welcome. The hotel is in a great location, a short walk to Pub St and the night markets. There is also Modern Laundry just down the road if you need to do some washing. The free breakfast was... Read more

Villa madamrei was an awesome hotel! The staff at the hotel is attentive and very helpful. The rooms are very clean and the stay was very enjoyable. You get free breakfast which consist of mostly western breakfast and some noodles. The hotel is close to the night market and only a short walk to many restaurants. Definitely recommend it!

We only stayed here a night but truly loved it. Very centrally located walking distance to the old market and pub st. They offered us a welcome drink in their beautiful lobby and afterwards led us to our room which was equally beautiful and even came with its own private garden. If you're planning on visiting Angkor Wat (and you should), you can book your Tuk Tuk directly with the hotel staff. We didn't know about this and booked with an outside Tuk Tuk driver which ended up being about $5 mor... Read more

The place is cozy and clean. We got more than what we paid for. We were comfortable with place and we really enjoyed our stay. We will definitely recommend this to any friends or relatives that will visit Siem Reap. The food in the restaurant is great too. Though their complimentary breakfast may not be sufficient for some. Also, we noticed that there was no toothbrush or toothpaste in the room not that it was an issue as we always bring own toiletries. The staff are also hospitable, nice, and ... Read more

Unfriendly front desk crew with us. The booking.com something missed, and they didnt understand us. They dont understandig, and they didnt fix the problem. The air condition in the room is next to the bed, and when we lay, the condition straight at our face always. So few breakfast portion is rather a child portion, not an adult portion. Im sorry about that, but we felt badly :( Angkor was great, we love it, but this has nothing to do at the hotel.

This hotel was the best. The location is excellent. Walking distance to the night streets events at night is easy. Hotel staff is wonderful. Friendly and helpful. They set up our Tuk Tuk for the temples and airport pick up. You take your shoes off which is fine with me. They great you with a refreshing drink. The only thing they do not supply is a blow dyer and toilettes. I did have my own shampoo so I was good with that but just had no way to blow dry my hair I normally do not bring a blo... Read more

The hotel is really nice, new and well decorated. Our room was big and clean, there wasn't the shampoo but we had one. I could have given 5 score, but the staff has been very unkind (the only hotel in our trip with so an unkind staff) and if you have some problems is not possible to talk to the manager... you talk with too many different guys at the front desk, everyone says something different so i asked to talk with their manager but it wasn't possible because they only talk to him by phone, s... I am not sure why folks would criticize the staff. They were fantastic to us. From the tuk-tuk ride from the airport to the lovely check-in and kind restaurant stuff, they were always looking out for us. The rooms were very sufficient and the decorations simple but lovely. The common spaces were great.

Upscale boutique hotel located in Siem Reap, yet tucked away off the main drag to be quiet and comfortable. A five minute walk from many bars and restaurants. LOVED their breakfast, extremely friendly staff, and very affordable. Would recommend this hotel to a friend in a heartbeat. PS - Loved their tuk-tuk airport to hotel shuttle service!
