Good 3.5 star hotel in an excellent hotel very near to Old Market and Pub Street. Even though very near to pub street, the sound proofing is good and you will not be disturbed by the happening pub street at night, unless you're an extreme light sleeper. Good spread of breakfast buffet with varying options everyday. Decently sized pool too. Fast wifi with good coverage all over the hotel. Only drawback was the shower/tub did not drain off well on 1 of the nights but was cleared by the housekeepin... Read more

This was my third stay at the Steung Siemreap Hotel, and I'm really sorry to say, it's feeling a little sad, needs a lift, the location is amazing, you can walk everywhere, pub street is just around the corner, walk the opposite direction, and your at the river, great restaurants are close buy, but, the towels were grey, the pillows were very hard, the hot and cold taps are incorrectly labelled, found out the cold was really the hot on our last day., breakfast was adequate but nothing special..t... I stayed here with my family during our trip. A friend recommended us this place as they had a lovely experience staying in Steung Seam Reap. Must say the location is perfect to walk around in the evnings as the market is closeby so are many restaurents and travel offices. The hotel staff was very helpful. They had a lavish buffet breakfast spread with various options everyday. Back then there were tuk tuk drivers waiting outside the hotel and ready to take you around the town. The room was ... We loved the Steung - so well situated near the old market and close to shops and restaurants. The staff were delightful and eager to help. We had two balconies from our large cool and clean room, which had a large modern bathroom, mini bar ,in room safe and free wifi. Our package included buffet breakfast served in the restaurant and the items on offer covered all breakfast options. There is an outdoor pool, bar and business centre. Most highly recommended.

We stayed here for two nights during a heatwave. The room was lovely and cool which enabled us to cool down between our trips out to the temples. The staff were all excellent and very helpful especially the gentleman on reception who booked a restaurant table for us. The only very slight niggle is that the evening meal choices in the restaurant were not overly inspiring.

Location of this hotel is first class - close to Old Market, Night market and Pub Street. It took up about 20 minutes to drive to Angkor Wat. Bed was rock hard - not comfortable at all. Linen was old. Pool was nice - small but clean. There was no pool service offered for the hour or so we spent by the pool, so not sure if this is even offered to have a drink by the pool or such. Breakfast was OK - they cooked eggs to your liking. The room was a good size with small balcony and the ... Read more

I dont know of the other new and big properties that are coming up in the city that looks permanetly under construction, Steung,(which means a river) Siemreap in the middle of this small picturesque town is wonderful hotel with old world charm. We were checked into a lovely huge and spectacularly clean room (with smoking allowed in the balcony and bathroom) over looking a 13th century monastery. The wi-fi connection was nice and fast. Goodlooking bathrooms, a nice mini bar etc. Before moving... Read more

Location is fantastic convenient for everything close to the Old Market night market and Pub Street but just far enough away to be quiet. Good size rooms with everything you need . Great staff very friendly and willing to do anything for you . Good pool little small but great for relaxing in after a morning at the temples. The Buddhist temple behind the hotel is worth a visit.

A very good hotel. But, if a gym or fitness centre is important to you do not stay here. It is very poor. They should not be allowed to advertise the fact they have one, as functionall they do not. Most of the few machines were not working There is no water. No towels or anything reslly gym-like at all.

Colonial style hotel with large room, good aircon, comfortable bed, in-room safe, flat screen tv, robes & slippers, en suite bathroom. Shower didn't have hot water - but it was so hot out, cool showers were actually a relief. Buffet breakfast was good with eggs cooked to order, fruit and buffet of other items. coffee isn't too good though. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are quite quiet especially given how close the location is to Pub Street.

Very nice hotel with classy rooms in colonial style. They were spacious and could fit 2-3 people easily. The breakfasts were quite good and the pool was comfortable and hidden by the main building, which guarantees a bit of privacy. The location of the hotel was very convienient, since it was a short walk away from a few very nice restaurants. It was also a 20 minute drive away from Angkor Wat.

The hotel is close to the party center and there are a lot of restaurants in the neighborhood. It's a pretty hotel with a nice pool that is in the shadow in the afternoon. The rooms are beautiful and our room had a good view to the street. The breakfast is ok. Some of the staff don't strike you as people who are used to run a hotel. They are charming and nice though. If you just need a place to stay while you see the temples this hotel is suitable for the purpose.

Best of all, the staff were all SO very kind and attentive. Next time I am back in Siem Reap, I plan on staying here again. This is located in the beautiful "Old French Quarter", Steung Siem Reap are two French-style buildings across the street from one another. Both identical in beauty and design, the buildings retain the original French architecture with beautiful balconies that have a great view of the Wat and runrise/sunset! It is walking distance from everything, the market, Pub Street, and... Read more

The hotel was in a good central location. The facilities were good. They were doing some upgrades whilst we were there to the shutters and timber floors but they didn't impact on us in any way - no noise or smell. It was unusual having to cross the road for breakfast and the pool (as there are rooms on either side of the road). The staff were friendly - a nice mid range hotel

Excellent location, well presented hotel with great staff who were very friendly and helpful. Good facilities (the pool was a lifesaver after days exploring the temples). Good buffet breakfast. Very close to the night market and Pub Street. We would all highly recommend this hotel

What a little gem this place is! Great central location to pub street and nearby markets, easy to get to the temples by tuk tuk or car. The staff were exceptional! So friendly and accomodating. The hotel itself is lovely, a little dated but all the other little things around make up for it, like the lovely smell of jasmine and lemongrass, free breakfast and wifi, beautiful pool and the smiling staff!

This is a quality solidly built hotel very close to central Siem Reap. The appointment of the room and cleaniness was good. Great to have a pool also. Breakfast choice was not the best - the "hot" food was not hot. Choice of bread was - white only. If this could be improved would have no complaints.

The hotel was just a walking distance from the market and had this old colonial allure with all the modern commodities. The room was big and clean. The bed was comfortable. The staff was nice. The breakfast was OK. I didn't get the chance to try the pool, but it was very popular among guests.

We stayed in Steung for 4 days, the hotel is made in colonial style, rooms are big and clean, nice swimming pool, good breakfast and very friendly staff. 1 minute walk from Pub Street - downtown, the center of siem reap tourists' life.

This French-colonial style hotel is a great place in the heart of Siem Reap. 1 block from the "Old Market" and 2 blocks from "Pub Alley", you can't beat the location. The staff is extremely friendly, and breakfast is included in the room rate! This was our second stay there and we would stay here again.

This is my 1st time to Siem Reap, choosing hotel is tough and as I will be staying for 7 nights. I decide to choose this hotel as 1) Location 2) Value for $. Everything is around the old market and pub street. Deco is abit old, and pool is great. Great balcony view facing the road. Breakfast is not average. Service staff are polite. Housekeeping is good but some towels are very "yellow" (time to change). Overall, I am very satisfied 8.5/10. ($$$ for value) Sure be back.

Researched many hotels for my stay in Siem Reap and was overall very pleased with my stay here. The staff was very friendly and the location is great. You are steps away from the market and Pub street, where you can find many places to dine. Breakfast is included with the room and is average. Would definitely choose to stay here again should I find myself back in Siem Reap as it was a good value for the money.

Incredible location! So central, yet so quiet and calm. Directly beside a huge monastery helps. Very helpful staff, very big and comfy rooms, good non fancy breakfast. Also so reasonably priced that I felt they should increase the rates!!!! Thanks Steung for being my second home!

We stayed here as part of a tour and were very impressed. Nice colonial style hotel with small balcony overlooking the street. The room was clean, comfortable and a good size with the added bonus of a reliable supply of hot water for showering. Despite being very close to pub street, which is incredibly noisy, we were not disturbed at all. Good sized pool to cool off in after a busy day visiting temples. Would highly recommend.
