Our tour group stayed for 2 nights at the end of our 15 day trip and im so grateful we did. I loved this hotel with the exceptional staff, central location in Siem Reap surrounded by many things to see and do. The food was great especially the chicken sandwiches which i was addicted too. The pool was beautiful on the rooftop where you could take a swim or simply sit by the pool looking at the fabulous view overlooking Siem Reap. Will definitely be back as I want to spend more time in this fabulo... Read more

This place was lovely. A real old school setting on the other side of the river. Close to everything though. I really liked this place and the food was delicious. Staff were good also and helped with everything. Not far from Angkor Wat (Tuk Tuk) away and everything about a literal 5 minute walk to the other side of the river for the market and Pub Street etc.

Loved the hotel! Staff were amazing and ALWAYS smiling, they stopped what they were doing to smile and greet you anytime of day, amazing! Room was perfect. Pool was serenely beautiful, I swam everyday and had all meals by the pool. Food was spectacular! The Phlear salads were addicting, and all food was so cheap. I would definitely come back here. Great location too.

Stayed a couple of nights as part of a tour. Really great position, very nice rooms, nice restaurant and poolside bar with really lovely staff. The brochure in the room apologises that the hotel is staffed by people with disadvantaged backgrounds, (which seems to be much of Cambodia), but they work hard to do the best they can. Small problems reduced my score, no hot water one night, which was fixed in half an hour, and one of our group lost power in the room - again remedied quickly by moving t... Read more

The location is good close to the night market. The room was clean & the staff is overly polite but a bit confused, I had a feet massage & it was only best thing in Siem reap. The shower would oscillate between 60-100 degrees F every minute I tried to use it making a shower very annoying & there is a light attached to it which is very weird. Passage leading to the rooms is dark & scary. Breakfast is NOT good at all. The room's air conditioner never really cooled the room. It automatically s... Read more

We had a large spacious room over looking the river. The room was clean, and well appointed. Water pressure not the greatest, but this is a small factor. Roof top pool was great, as is the happy hour and additional seating higher up with amazing city views ???

From beginning to end we had a positive experience at this hotel. We had a third floor room over looking the river. The room had a traditional look to the windows, black out curtains and generally you felt like you had plenty of room to move around in. It was also the first room i'd had in this part of the world over the last two and a half weeks that actually had the toilet roll holder placed forward of the user - no more awkward contortions required whilst staying here! I guess the point is th... Read more

The hotel claims to be away from the noise but still walking distance to Pub street and night market but there is a huge roof top karaoke bar next door that kept us up all night. Yes, you can walk to things but down a creepy, poorly lit road. The hotel itself was also dark and dingy. The best part was the rooftop pool, but definitely not worth the $40 rate. We stayed one night then moved to Villa Sok San which was the same quality room but much better location and only $18/night. Also the staff ... Read more

I have no idea why this hotel isn't rated better on Trip Advisor! It is a little gem - clean and comfortable, fantastic location only 5 mins walk to Pub Street, great staff who can't do enough for you and a brilliant rooftop swimming pool and bar. What we really liked was the unbelievable value for money. Rooms were nice, good air-con, nice hot water. This hotel is great. Excellent location 5 minutes walk to markets and shopping and Pub street. US$2 by tuk tuk. The staff are a delight to deal with. Only big down for me was the bed... Really very hard! The worst we had on the 14 day tour. Otherwise they would have got 5 stars.

Its a 3 star hotel but managed effectively. Rooms are big enough and you will feel really comfortable. Location of hotel is another plus point as its just 3-4 min from main night market and Pun street. Its located on the bank of Siem reap river and u can walk along till night market. Staff are really welcoming and pleasant with a smile on face always.

Excellent with a large roof top pool and a great location near the heart of the action, especially for the evening entertainment: dining, massage, fish-foot massage, shopping, fried ice-cream experience, fruit ice smoothies (dragon fruit, mango, papaya in particular), entertainment. The mahogany timber work of the hotel is exceptional.

They also have in house massage. The staff are excellent, very friendly and helpful and can book all your tours etc. the hotel is a short 5 mins from central real market and is far enough away from the noise of pub st so that you can relax. City River is a great hotel with friendly and helpful staff. I was able to walk around to local restaurants/bars nearby or I just rode a tuk tuk if I wanted to go to Pub Street. Hotel food is usually mediocre, but they actually had great options and it was tasty. I would definitely stay here again when I am in Siem Reap.

We stayed at the city river hotel for 3 nights and loved our stay!!! The staff are lovely, have a huge range of tourist brochures (which I like). The hotel is in a great location (only a 2min walk to markets & pub street) and the pool is beautiful. Our shower was very temperamental, but that was the only downfall. We stayed four nights at this Hotel and were disappointed with it. The rooms were clean but we had trouble with the kettle. It was replaced 3 times but still did not work. Breakfast was very poor. Very little to choose from. Most dishes only had one or two pieces in them. Tea was nearly always cold. Orange juice warm as machine not working. Location was good and reception people were friendly. Upon arrival there was a noticeable 'old musty' aroma to this hotel and our room. The glasses in the bathroom had a white-grey residue on the inside, in the corners and the base. They were dirty. There was a long hair on the bathroom sink, not from us. The shower light did not work, the bottom of the shower curtain had black grime along the hem. The shower drain did not drain well so water accumulated in the tub as you showered. Between the bed sheet and top cotton sheet was a very old pi... Read more
