My wife and I took serious consideration over this review as to give 4 or 5 stars. We finally came down in favour of 5. Entering the lobby is a bit like going back in a time warp. It's style is a bit dated but actually very welcoming and full of charm. Polished hardwood everywhere and all kept very clean. Big wooden stairs up to our large room again dominated by hardwood furniture. Again a bit dated but hey it all did the job and after a couple of days you begin to really love it's charm. Air co... Cons: Put up with room #448 last week. Found 2 lizards, measure about 15cm long and the other is 10cm. Air con temperature is not cold. Swimming pool water is salty. Area under the bed-head is dusty. Pros: Very warm service, staff is polite, room is spacious. Breakfast change daily.

This hotel provides a large choice of breakfast items including traditional items such as bacon, potatoes, bread, croissant, cheese, etc. exceptional food items include cook to order omelet station, cook to order noodle station, and a congee station. I was also impressed with the variety of exotic fruits offered. Our room was very spacious as well. The only problem I experienced was the sporadic wifi reception in our room. Do try the 1/2 price happy hour at the bar. We had smoothies and bee... Read more

Service was not good. Toilet overflowed, completely flooding bathroom 4 times. Manager assured us that it would be fixed but it wasn't. No disinfectant used until I complained. Very unhygienic. Overall the cleaning was of a very low standard, no disinfectant, just dirty old mops that were 'black' - filthy; hygiene clearly not a priority. Public toilets on ground floor also filthy, and two in the Ladies toilets were leaking all over the floor. (We had to use the public toilets on ground floor... Read more

It was unfortunate that my family and I had to check out of the hotel earlier than planned. We did not know that the pool was being renovated on the day that we checked in. Since our trip was a family holiday, my kids were looking forward to swimming in the hotel pool. I had no other choice but to look for another hotel that will have the amenities that we needed. I was very appreciative that the hotel management did not charge us for our entire booking. We only paid for the night that we stayed... Read more

Breakfast.buffet, included with the room, is generous feature both Khmer and North American foods. More than adequate, but not a rave. Some people in reviews complained about air conditioning in rooms, but I've found my room to be cool even during the very hot and humid days. Happy Hour half price drinks were appreciated by all. Positive: the staff was friendly and hospitable. Now the negatives: We booked two weeks around Asia including a few nights stay at this hotel. To make a long story short, we checked out the next day as the room was very hot and excruciating. We reported it to reception in the morning but nothing was done. To make matters worse, the entire hotel was hot, the towels in the room was old and somehow dirty. The plugs in room did not work and we had to plug the kettle in the bathroom as this is the... A little dated but adds to the character. The reception is like heading back in time. The pool was nice and much needed in the heat. Food from the bar is very good. We did eat in the hotel one night but were the only customers and the attentiveness of the staff was a bit overbearing. Picking up on another review - they do need to look at replacing their towels. Our room overlooked the pool - had no issue with air conditioning. The tuk tuk men are very helpful. We booked our trip to Angko... Read more

The thing that really makes this good hotel great are the staff. All of the employees of the hotel were very helpful and always wanted to ensure that your questions were answered and you had the right information for the task at hand. Rooms were very spacious with all the facilities you need. WiFi was fine for emails but a little slow for anything more complex. Pool was very welcoming and refreshing. Breakfast had a great choice. This is a excellent base for your tours in the Siem Reap area.

Ok so there are some valid points others have raised, this hotel should be rated 4 Star at best not 5, the air con in the room is loud, it does take 5 minutes for water to heat up... But the service is amazing and the location is great overall I would stay here again, give it a go.

Second hotel (out of eight) of our honeymoon and this didn't disappoint. The rooms are slightly old-fashioned but were still well-appointed with an old-school control panel next to the bed for all the lights, a great pool view and lots of space. Fantastic, friendly and obliging staff. Huge room and equally huge ornate bed (could have sub-let) very luxurious. We have just spent a lovely 4 nights at the Angkor Paradise and could not have wished for a better stay. The staff throughout were very friendly and accomodating, no problem in organising our temple guide and tux tux requirements. A toilet issue was dealt with quickly and without fuss. The only thing stopping a 5 star rating was intermittent Wifi. The pool was heaven after a hot day out. Overall a great stay and would highly recommend.

The hotel is well situated within easy reach of Siem Reap proper - you could walk into the centre, but it's too hot and sticky and the tuk-tuks are plentiful and cheap (a dollar a head is the standard rate). Stayed here for 2 nights. Absolutely loved it. Rooms were spacious and overlooked the pool. Staff were so friendly "arkoun‚?? chraen" Wish we could have stayed just a bit longer. Location was good, just a tuk tuk ride away to Pub Street which is a sight to see. Thoroughly recommend this hotel

I have stayed in this hotel several times and the quality of its facilities and service remain good. Rooms may be old but very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast buffet has wide selection of dishes, including local noodles and fruits. Service is fast and staff are courteous. Meeting rooms are huge and facilities are complete. Worth staying here again to try their nice pool and SPA. Airport shuttle is provided and cost included in your room rate. Night market and Pub Street are just a tuk-tuk aw... Read more

My room was very nice, large, great view from my balcony over the (impressive) hotel swimming pool, and with characterful wood parquet floors. Everything was good in all important respects. Breakfast was okay but not great, that is if you want a Western style breakfast (to my shame, I usually do; I do my culinary exploring at lunch and dinner). Good position, within walking distance of centre of Siem Reap. Staffed with friendly, helpful people.

Nice big room with balcony overlooking pool area. Hotel staff very attentive. Breakfast did disappoint as choices for a westerner was limited and did not appeal to me. But other Cambodian food served by the hotel for dinner was good and delicious. Pool area fantastic but can get crowded by mid afternoon as it was quite a popular area for guests to cool down. Fairly good location to walk into town and to the museums. I enjoy walking but it might be daunting to walk 2 kms or so in 40 degrees C he... Read more

This is an old fashioned hotel but clean and well kept. The only thing that bothered me i guess is the elevator. its a bit small for the hotel of this size. We are a group of 4, so we needed an extra bed, they didnt have it when we arrived but it was given to us in 10 mins so over all service is fast. bathroom is a good size, water pressure is good. food i guess for a Filipino, its a bit health so I was only able top eat their breakfast buffet with is western. This hotel is very quiet and doesnt... Read more

The Paradise was a comfortable, cozy hotel with a lovely pool & good restaurants & bar. The staff was friendly & service-minded (they even brought me a birthday cake to my room & sang Happy Birthday). I would definitely stay there again.

This is a luxury hotel for an almost-impossible to believe budget price! I arrived at Angkor Paradise after a five-hour flight from Thailand, hot and sweaty and tired. Before I even entered the hotel, I was greeted by staff with a bow and a genuinely kind smile that made me feel as though I was a longtime friend who had been greatly missed. And then I walked into the lobby. Cool air washed over me, the sound of the xylophone being played by a woman in traditional dress soothed me, and the charmi... Read more

Welcomed warmly on arrival. Escorted to room and helpful staff explained everything! Spacious room, good aircon, mini fridge, large balcony, lovely bathroom. We enjoyed good breakfasts although many items ran out quickly. Breakfast staff are friendly but perhaps could be a little more attentive. That said, this is a really nice hotel with good food, a sensational pool, terrific people and a nice Spa that is very reasonable for the price. We also met the General Manager who was quite "hands on"... Read more

What an amazing place. Very clean and tidy. The staff are so friendly and everyone is very helpful. Nothing is a problem. The food has been extremely yummy. Have had a fantastic five day stay. Would very much like to come back at some time and have no problem recommending this hotel to anyone.
