As many have said before, air con in the room is a joke, but they did move us immediately and upgraded us to a suite which so much better. Electrics a health and safety nightmare, bare wires in the bathroom, couldn't switch the bedside lights off and they were just wired into the wall, had to unscrew the bulb! Corridors had no a/c + filthy stained carpets. 2 showers in our bathroom, both could deliver scaldingly hot water deending on use elswhere in the hotel, another H&S issue. Restaurent could... It has become a theme in my hotel stays in Cambodia to have cold showers in the am. I guess they turn off the water overnight. However, i would say they were cool, not cold, as i came to experience later in my trip. The thing you have to remember when travelling through Cambodia is, it's a poor country. So adjust your expectations accordingly. If the bedroom (and bed) are clean, and the food doesn't give you food poisoning, then be thankful and move on. There is no aircon in the hallways h... This hotel was clean and close enough to Pub Street. As we spent most of our time in Siem Reap exploring the Angkor complex this hotel was good for having somewhere to sleep at the end of the night. The wifi was good. The breakfast buffet was not the best- the toaster was woeful and you would have to put your bread in 3 times before it was even slightly toasted. The egg station ladies also looked like they did not want to be there.

Stayed for 3 nights as part of a tour. Bedroom overlooking the pool area. Two huge beds meant that we had to sleep separately as only one side of each bed was accessible. It wasn't a problem. They were clean, comfy and we slept well. Bathroom was fine with plenty of hot water. Plenty of choice at breakfast in a pleasant restaurant area. Lovely swimming pool area with plenty of sunbeds. Nice location, not too far away from shops, markets and Pub Street. Really liked this hotel. It had a lovely fe... Read more

Cambodia was a challenge for us but we were pleasantly surprised as to how friendly and helpful to people were. From their suffering from the Vietnam and Killing Fields War, they are a remarkable people with great heart and courage. John

I was going through the list of hotels in some of the websites and TA. Decided to try out Angkor Holiday Hotel as they are the only hotel responded to my enquiries and genuine enough in having me. Was a bit wary of the condition of the hotel as most reviews stated it is old and tired hotel. My expectation was not high and prepared to face an old hotel. Well, indeed it was an old hotel but the location and the staff really make up for it. Mrs Rachana was so kind and professional in arranging for ... Read more

I stayed here for two nights and experienced so many problems I want to ensure no one else has the same bad experience. A new building is being constructed next door to the hotel and, coupled with the room refurbishment ongoing on the second floor, the noise was horrendous. The toilet blocked, the windows let in water (that completely covered the floor) and the electricity tripped as a result of an exploding AC unit. I had to request a move to another room after only 24 hours. If only I had aske... Read more

My stay was only mediocre. The hotel is very dated with a musty old moldy smell from the ancient carpeting without air flow. I was chaperoning a group of high school students from the USA and some students had trouble sleeping due to the construction. The room was clean enough, but the every morning I woke up with tons of red swollen bites on my feet and ankles (the only part of me not covered). I stayed two nights and the bites were so overwhelming they nearly covered the entirety of my feet an... Read more

I can say that this is good hotel, because the rooms are in good condition with the view from upstairs to the pool. Mine and my friends rooms were having bad with the water in restroom but after I called to the service center A few minutes later, they came and checked for us with respectively.

A very nice hotel with attentive staff and easy check-in. Although we stayed only one night here, the overall experience was quite pleasant. Upon arrival, we were met with a complimentary tropical drink while we briefly waited to check in and receive our room key. The room was quite large and clean, and the Bath offered both a tub and a stand alone tiled shower. Very clean and quiet and we would stay here again. They have a nice restaurant that serves a good breakfast and they have a vari... Read more

Cambodian friends booked us into this hotel for 3 nights. Check-in was painless, whilst we were waiting for the room key we were given a lovely tropical juice drink in a comfortable seating area with our friends. We were taken to our room which was a reasonable size and clean. The hotel is a little tired, but currently there's renovations going on. This would normally be a quiet hotel, but there's some building going on behind it which could be a little bit irritating when relaxing by the ... Read more

This property in in the midst of major renovations but when done could be a 5 star hotel, at the moment it is struggling to be a 3 star. The rooms we stayed in were actually a mini suite, huge & nicely presented with great aircon. Because of the renovations there was no aircon in public areas. The staff were fantastic, so friendly & helpful, a credit to the hotel. The restaurant offered an excellent selection and was very reasonable. The pool is magnificent, one could easily spend hours there. ... Read more

Though the hotel is situated at a busy part of Siam reap, the rooms are nice and quiet, insulated from the hustle and bustle outside. Food is good but you just can't miss a chance to take the tuk-tuk to pub street which is really close by. Great location with courteous staff. Had a great time!

This hotel has very good location, nice swimmingpool, friendly staff. Sometimes it is not possible to communicate as the staff has poor english. Beds are comfortable. The room is clean, the bathroom also, but the shower should be renewed. I feel a little disapponinted as we booked a deluxe room, our friends booked standard room and they were exactly the same. We payed 70 $ more only for "deluxe" name.

Booked this hotel for a few days after a long cycling trip. The deluxe room was large enough, we asked for one king bed and got a king and a single, no balcony but pool view through the filthy windows on the 3rd floor. Room 345- The furnishings are getting a bit battered and the electric lighting wiring all over the place, a switch that you think works for one thing actually turns something else on. The bathroom has seen better days, the bath is going green the fittings around the taps have come... Read more

My room was on the 4th floor & had a Hugh balcony overlooking the interior courtyard where the swimming pool was located (so the view was nice looking down on the courtyard) - while this hotel is ranked 4 star it's more of a 3 star - room itself was clean & spacious - but with some questionable wiring on a control panel next to the bed for the lights in the room - bathroom while large had a tiny shower unit & no hairdrier. The hallway to the room was like a long bowling alley and smelted a litt... Read more
