To be fair, the location is quite good and the staff is there to help you. Also, the breakfast was nice. But besides that, the rest was really bad. The rooms are not very clean (we slept in sleeping bags on the bed), the smell of the pillows was terrible, the towels were probably as old as the hotel, and many other things that makes this place a terrible idea. And to make it worst, at the moment of the check out, they made a mistake and I ended paying 3 times the bill (with my credit card). They... Read more

Staff are friendly and took our bags up to the fourth floor (no lift) room was very basic but had wifi and decent a/c however the room was dirty with horrible stains on the cushions, hairs in the bed, exposed wires in the shower, a non functional safe and dirty fridge. There were no towels so we asked reception for one. They managed to Russell up one towel only so we had to share, even though when we checked out, we saw stacks of new towels in an open cupboard in the hallway. If you are a fan of... Read more

I was a bit dubious about booking this because of some of the reviews but my experience exceeded my expectations. The staff were friendly and helpful (even let me do some printing for free!) and you cannot be in a more perfect location to explore the city. The room was clean and serviced well each day. The shower had fine pressure although sometimes it only got warm. The shower was next to the toilet but there was plenty of room. The walls were a bit beaten up and the fridge a little smelly but ... The hotel is nice enough. I was in a twin room on the 2nd floor - there is no lift so you would have to carry your luggage up yourself. The room was fine, it was clean, there were tea & coffee facilities, the bathroom was fine and there was a communal area with a couple of sofas if you wanted to sit outside the room. The only thing I would say is that it was slightly dark in the room but I didn't find it a problem. Location was fine and you can easily walk to all the sights and the promenade wh... Read more

Good breakfast and coffee, good location (very near National Museum, Royal Palace, market), average service, friendly staff. Don't have elevator but it's not a problem, it's a interesting experience to climb up the floors.

Really great quality hotel for this price ($15) and it includes breakfast! The noodles are absolutely delicious and the other breakfasts looked good too. The staff are helpful and the location is central. The room was clean and comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was good. Good restaurant: exit the hotel and turn left, first local looking place on your left. It has two frying stations outside and it's very basic but don't be deterred. Try the vegetable cakes (yum) and the beef rice... Read more

This hotel is cheap, well-located, and the breakfast is decent, but otherwise it is incredibly dirty and not worth it. Mold on the walls, slime in the bathroom (don't think it's ever been cleaned), and hair in the sheets. When our AC wasn't working in the first room they didn't want to move us, but we insisted. Mediocre all around.

I managed 3 hours here and then left. It's an open 'hotel' with no lifts and the lights were broken so I had to work to room down long corridors in the dark. Room smelt of sewage so I asked to move then the next room was really dark, old and smelly. There were mosquitoes in room, it was really hot and horrible so I left and went to another hotel. The walls had holes in them. Even though I didn't stay they charged me for one night. I wouldn't go back again, nearly ruined my holiday

The hotel is in a good central location overlooking the royal palace complex. There are plenty of restaurants in the neighborhood, but at night, the area dies down completely. However, at least two separate nightlife areas are within walking distance. I didn't quite expect the room to be quite so tiny, but I didn't need much more than a bed anyway. However, the bed (which also looked like it was going to fall apart at any moment) was constructed like a swing, so that when you sat down on one en... Read more

Location is great as it's just two mins walk to the riversides or the Royal Palace. The museum is also within minutes of walking and staffs are very helpful. Hotel room is clean with nice Double bed and fixed with cable LCD TV, hair dryer and even a min bar. My room is 203 with good Wi-Fi connection and got a good view of the street and part of the Royal Palace. Only setback is there's no lift so do ask for lower floor if traveling with seniors. Free make to order breakfast daily with a good ran... Read more

While the location isn't bad, the cleanliness and smell is. The room was not clean, nor the bathroom, as I discovered black hair all around (mine is blonde..) There was only one towel for two people. The noise from the street is rather loud as well. Its not bad for a quick stop but the rooms are overpriced for the quality that you get.

I spent 4 nights here as a solo traveler. I felt safe and comfortable. The water was hot, the bed was comfortable and the Wi-Fi was strong. Breakfast was included and was pretty good. I walked almost everywhere, however, there wee plenty of tuk-tuks outside to take you anywhere for a very reasonable price.

The hotel close to many interesting spots in the city, including the water front. A convenience store and a pharmacy are nearby. Staff were very helpful. The included breakfast was neat. The room was very dark, had cobwebs in the corners. Awkwardly placed power sockets. The room came with free coffee and tea, but no way to heat water. The staff brought a kettle, but it was impossible to plug it in anywhere in the room.

Negatives: * No elevator (beware if you have heavy luggage), steep stairs * Dirty linens, yellow marks on the bedsheets (we need to moved in another room upstairs) * Telephone is not working * Other rooms doesn't have water kettle, if you have one, its cover is broken so be extra careful it will fall when you fill your cup with hot water. * Only 1 glass, 1 cup and 1 Nescafe 3-in-1 even if it's a room for two * No teaspoon to stir coffee you need to request for it * Dark Rooms * There was a mosq...
